MY LAST LPO RUN.. Inspired by my Peleliu shipmates..

My Last LPO RUN....
 I've done my time, I've stood the watch and I have led many men in various details,, like shore duty LPO in Japan , as the material Division LPO , in layman terms in charge of supplies - issuing , ordering , conducting inventory and maintain outstanding looking storerooms , through leading men on  preservation , painting to cleaning of spaces. I was also the training petty officer , with outstanding and spirited demos  of knowledge. My next LPO stint was as LPO on a SMALL BOY.. I was only on board a week before being nominated as the LPO and Command Postal Petty Officer. I wore two hats and I wore them well. But my aggressive and perhaps overzealous demeanor was too much for today's Navy. Thus I was relieved of my LPO duties and focused on LPO duties in the Post Office. Now on my last run or months in the NAVY.. I'm getting my last and final stint as LPO.. I'm not totally thrilled that my last days or months in the Navy is going to entail alot of responsibility and stress, but so be it. For a long time , Many people around me insisted I showcase the leader that has been hiding or chilling out. Well , the time is now and it's a gloroius time for my shipmates,.,.Perhaps its my buddy Sal from Boot camp so 20 years ago that made me realize , how much I had changed? But really , I think the stories of Bad ass Paras , or Paraz--- Made me realize that as much as I wanted to drift away and retire,, That fiery spirit , that leader of men finally came out. perhaps I waited too long to show case it , but Hey ,, for my shipmates and fellow supervisors,, Enjoy the ride.. I'm a highly motivated , aggravated , accelerated  sailor that is going to give up all my trade secrets and skills to all my co workers.. Perhaps ,, someone will step up and be the next Bad ass leader that leads by example and displays a strong leader with passionate desire to be the best. I know , I'm looking forward to retirement , its been a long hard road.. But the final days of the Last of the " Rough riders !" is coming to a end.. The story about the term " Rough Riders , will come in my next blog.. But for now I wish all my shipmates and supervisors alike , Get set to sweat ,, because that motivated , loud mouth sailor is making his final run, and perhaps.. HAPPY ASH WEDNESDAY - LENT - The Preparation for Easter..

Happy Ash Wednesday - Lent- 
  For us Catholics and or Christians... or the ones who grew up under these traditions. Its basically , catholics go to church , and have a Ash place on their forehead , its the forty days of giving up things as you await Easter Sunday. For others that don't know about these rituals it's celebrated by millions of people ! Its a time to give up rich foods and celebrate or remember the death of Jesus Christ which culminates on Easter Sunday where you have a the feast to celebrate the Resurrection of Christ. These 40 days is a time to reflect on his life and teachings and reinforce your faith in him. For those practicing this ritual and festival , Good Luck and have a glorious Easter Sunday. For others please respect and understand your friends 40 days of fasting.. THEY ARE NOT BEING RUDE , but instead practising their faith like the millions around the world do.. HAPPY PRESIDENTS DAY 2012..

Happy Presidents day 2012..
   Hello everyone and a Happy Presidents day in the United States of America! I know in other parts of the world it's Manic Monday - rushing to work - rushing to school , or whatever they rush too. But in the United States its a federal holiday and a day to celebrate all the great Presidents. Do I have any favorites? Sure I'm sure everyone does.. To the First President George Washington to the war Presidents .. Eisenhower , Truman , to the Kennedy years , and his whirlwind presence to the World. The Great Communicator -- Ronald Reagan.. to the Bush years.. and the Clinton Administration.. and Now the Obama reign.. They all had their qualities , quirks and styles.. But they all represented in my humble opinion the Greatest nation on earth... Its hard to be humble when you are the best. People around the world hate America, Why? Because we have it all, and we proud of it.. I know we have our issues , but at the end of the day.. I still Love America.. and it will overcome our present problems and become the Nation try to emulate.. So today, just take a moment and think about some of the great things our past presidents have done and what our future presidents will do.. The best times of of our lives is RIGHT HERE , RIGHT NOW... Because yesterday is gone and tomorrow may never come.. Enjoy your day and make every day a holiday !! THE SOURCE PRODUCTIONS@ 2012.

AZTECS CLASS OF 82 REUNION--Inspired by the classmates..

CLASS OF 82 -- INSPIRED BY CLASSMATES.. 
 Wow , time flies hug guys.. remember all the tunes we used to listen too, earth wind and Fire - serpentine Fire, Reasons,, the perfect love song and of course the old school groups like Lakesides' Rough riders , fantastic Voyage , all the way live,.. The Cameo tunes. shake your pants, cameo sis, Word up!! Zapp and Roger, More bounce to the ounce,. Cutie Pie,, California loving.. to Gapp bands. you dropped the bomb on me.. and Party Train,, Slave , Sun, parliament;s flashlight ,,, Funkadelics' One nation under the groove, Bootsy Collins.. Lisa . lisa , Prince , Michael Jackson.. and all the scenes form the day , the cool looking Pontiac firebirds , the box type mustangs.. the movies of our time.. It's all good.. I miss those days.. wearing angel flight pants and our silk shirts and feathered back hair.. Our skinny ass bodies and our loud ass giggling in the hallways.. We always seem to be laughing about something or someone.. We always thought our class was the best and why not.? We had some of the prettiest cheerleaders around.. Cindy , Sherry , Susan,  and the rest and of course our letterretes,, and all.. Liz,, I still think your were the cutest , but boy did you have a temper ,, kind like me.. huh? I guess too much of the same personna don't work out? Oh well.. I remember the cool sunny days on Palm Ave. waiting for the school bell to ring and hit IB , or the Strand.. Coronado Hotel or the Pits at the end of the Palm Avenue.. drinking ,. smoking.. keggers. and all. We all had our clicks.. our groups.. the Surfers,. Gary , miss him,, lost to surfing accident.. We had our jocks.. and the weight lifting exposition's at the school gyms... Diane.. remember her.. She had the strongest , most muscular legs in our class and was extremely cute .. My prayers go out to her as she lost her life way too young!! Then you had the the Fighters.. Robert , John, Myself.. We all like to kick ass and practise our karate , kung fu , boxing and street fighting.. We all thought we were Bruce Lee.. Thin , strong and that classic Bruce Lee haircut.. haha,.. those were a trip.. Remember we even Called ourselves " THE BARKADA'S.. had our either dark blue bomber jackets ot the gray painters jackets..and of course our khaki pants .. Man.. we were a trip.. ?? Then of course the long walks home.. flirting with all the girls.. hanging out at Alex's house. playing those tunes we just mentioned.. Like Heatwaves, two block buster album's.. Groove Line. Boogie nights.. Always and forever/// Still love those tunes and loves those days.. hanging out at Burritos shops the MCdonalds at Palm. Playing the Monopoly game with Joyce Domingo.. She was a beauty right guys. ? Man.. I really cant wait for the reunion.. I hope all of you guys attend.. time is clicking.. we are getting old.. haha.. Lets make this a big event , and showcase our old school moves.. Like I mentioned to Laarni.. I want to a old school pop lock routine. from the moves from that day.. and anyone else that has the guts. please join me.. Man.. I would love to see george Garrovillas, and Roger , Virnie, and the rest of the crazy guys I hung out.. Also Lon and layne,. Russel.. Mark . Guy.. those were some wild white guys.. They knew how to party.. and introduce me to cool Rock tunes, Like My favorite Van Halen, Rush, Scorpions., Ozzy, Black Sabbath, Journey , Aerosmith , Lynard skynard, ZZ TOP.. LED ZEPPELIN, THE WHO ,. DAVID BOWIE. , PINK FLOYD.. TERRIBE TED NUGENT.. Man,, I can smell the sights and sounds of that day.. Those times were classic and our looks back in the day are awesome.. I know we cant relive those days. But for one night or two.. Come reunion day or night , Lets make that effort to reconnect and share those times that are forever in our minds and memories.. So,, Anyone from that class, make that call,. or text message or face book.. invite.. because its been so long I haven't heard or seen any of you.. I'm already dieting and working out and coloring my hair , so when that night arrives. At least for one night,, I'm gonna bring back the Old Swell Mel and his old school pop lock days.. You guys recall., when I used to do that at school breaks in the hallways,. or before or after school. With my splits. haha.. Those were the days,.. and I know if anything , just seeing each other again we rekindle our youthful spirits.. and skills.. So for those who were part of the crew back in the day.. Break out those old school Moves,.. and Lets show our classmates and others.. what old school is all about.. Martin.. Lets bring out all our old school music, and lets make this the event of the year.. Because.. We all love the music and styles of that time... Aztecs,, lets get ready to party.. and Lets make this reunion.. a time to remember for ages.. take care.. and spread the word.. the Aztec's are coming old school.. way.. SUPER BOWL 46- GIANTS VS. PATRIOTS.. THE PREDICTION..

SUPER BOWL 46 - GIANTS VS. PATRIOTS - THE PREDICTION.

 These are two very proud teams with Super bowl winning Head Coaches and Quarterbacks. They both have a tradition of winning and pride. I don't see too many differences on both teams. Except that The Giants have a much better defense and a better team chemistry. I see happiness and togetherness on this team , and lets be honest they are playing the best and most balanced football during this whole playoff run. Yes, Tom Brady and Belichick are genius player and coach and the Patriots have the most dynamic offenses ever!! BUT ,, Brady and his bunch need to jump to a quick lead in order to win this game.. The patriots defense is ranked 31st in the league and for good reason,, That secondary gets burned more than toast at your local breakfast shop. The Patriots staff knows full well , they cant stop Victor Cruz and the tall physical wide outs of the giants.. its a mismatch across the board , and Brandon Jacobs and Bradshaw will run wild on that undersized line backer and secondary corps. The Giants are  going to pound and ground the ball , controlling the clock and limiting scoring opportunities for the patriots.. Thus Tom Brady will be pressured to score and make plays, because he doesn't trust the defense. Bill Belechick doesn't trust that defense, and is nervous about the Giants having a big day. The fact he fires a player before the Superbowl , goes to show he is nervous about his corps of players , and is trying to put a psycholigical ploy , by having the Giants wonder about the new player brought in.. Guess what. ? Its not going to work, Brady is going to feel the rush and out of the pocket he's not that effective. The injury to gronkowski and ocho stinko dosnt help either.. and Though Welker is very good , he;s still a under size guy that can be taken out of the game. Hernandez their other tight end has to step up and make plays.. But I see the patriots Achilles heel being that horrible defense that has been protected because Brady's un real offensive abilities.. But with two weeks to study and observe each other players.. The Giants have a much better pash rush and defense , and a quarterback that has beaten Brady and feels he can do it again! The pressure is on Patriots , every ones expects them to win, just like a couple of years ago , , that great undefeated team that lost to the Giants.. But guess what? This Giant team is much better offensively and defensively , while the Patriots are weaker on defense and offensively don't have that deep threat Randy Moss to keep the defense honest. The Giants will give up yards , but keep the points down.. While the patriots will give up big plays and scores. The Patriot defenders are going to get exposed as under size , bad decision making corners that will lose faith as Manning carves them up early in the year. Brady and patriots know they need to have a great offensive show, because their defense is no match for the talented and physically faster and stronger wide outs and tight ends. 

Bottom line: I see the Patriots spread out the offense , through quick passes and use that fast paced offense , no huddle style to keep that Giants pass rush at bay. But the issue with that, is you can also confuse your own offense , and false starts could slow down that formula. But the Pats know they have to do that to win the game. They want to jump to a lead and hope their defense can make a few stops during the game to make the difference.. 

 The Giants are going to pound and ground and look for big plays with their star player Victor the salsa dancing Cruz,.. He's too fast and strong for any of those patriots defenders..Plus they have Manningham , Nicks, Ballard and Beckum TO DEAL WITH.. I see a the Giants doing what needs to get done and because their defense is better , that will decide this game. Turnovers is the key and I see the Giants forcing Pretty boy Brady throwing or fumbling the ball to avoid a hard hit. I also like the team spirit on this team and they feel their 53 man roster is the best team out there!! They totally believe in their abilities and they will fight for one another. 

  The Patriots are a team in search of leaders and play makers. Brady is great , but he knows he has to be the one to lead them to the championship. He will be forced to make plays , because he does not trust that shaky secondary and when Coach Belichick is asked about his defenders he becomes very agitated and upset. Well, I expect that same nervous and upset feelings to be felt during and after the game , and when the ends comes, like two years ago , leaving the Superbowl , before the game was officially over was classes and selfish, but what do you expect from the arrogant and self centered patriots who since that SPY GATE SCANDAL , Have not won a SUPERBOWL.. I'm not saying those videos of practises helped them win those SUPER BOWLS.. but I'm sure it didn't hurt.. It's like the old saying " Cheaters never win, and Winners Never cheat!!. The football gods are smiling on the Giants , and their style of play and the nation is cheering for the NEW YORK FOOTBALL GIANTS.. 

 THE GIANTS WIN THE SUPERBOWL BY TD ,, and the Mannings have a joyous celebration at PEYTON'S PLACE IN INDY.. While the sour head and arrogant Brady walk off the Field upset and defeated and another wasted chance to win a SUPERBOWL. 

 GREAT DEFENSE VS. GREAT OFFENSE.. 

GREAT COACH VS. GREAT COACH..

BUT ..the difference is Great Team Chemistry and belief will beat the mind game playing , cut throat philosophy of the Patriots.. Firing a player before the big game , shows no belief with his total squad and a last minute desperate attempt to put a psychological mind play , that in my opinion will not work! 

 It has been a record breaking season for offense , but in the biggest game of the year, The better defense and team spirit and belief will be the winning formula.. I have seen too many Brady arguments with his offensive coordinator and his rants to his horrible defense , this year to honestly think this patriot team is better than the one a couple of years ago , that lost to these same Giants.. In a fast track , I see the speedier and taller receiver's having a bigger day then the patriots crew.. As for defense I see the the faster and bigger defensive line man handle the patriots line.. Its the big uglies that will decide this game and I see the GIANTS being too much for the finesse, fast break offense and horrible defense. Belichick has done a great job of hiding and protecting that defense , thanks to Brady , but tonight,, the Party is over and the true football formula for winning comes out.. 

 STRONG DEFENSE, AGGRESSIVE PASS RUSH AND RUN STOPPING  , BIG PLAY OFFENSE AND TIME CONSUMING RUN PLAYS.. will limit scoring chances and force Brady Bunch , pressured to make things happen. Which will lead to ill advised throws for picks and fumbles that the Giants will use to score points and burn off time with their efficient ground game and quick strike passing plays.
