  Back in the day. way back.. jr high days.. I and many Mayans and south San diegans.. used to walk around with our cassette tape boom boxes ... alot just to listen.. But my click.. like to set up the cardboard for spinning and we would break - pop lock back in the day.. In fact.. I was the school stopper or break stopper.. back in the day,,, Believe it or not I was painfully shy... I mean.. when I danced or performed martial arts moves I was alive.. But other than that , I was quiet guy who like to keep to myself , and stay focused on school.. 
 Now to the dancing,. back then,, I just hooked up with a pretty girl,, no names.. but she was Sweet looking quiet girl,, and she thought the same for me.. until the music came on.. once the music came on, I would light up and dance .. between break along the hallways at Monty Jr.. I would dance or pop lock to zapp band,... Gap band, u name it.. If it had that hook.. i would dance.. I learned from Ken,., a black brother who actually gave me too many props.. he had the moves down. I was a imitator , copy cat. etc.. but I also a actor.. too.. You see alot of times,, a performer , if they act confident in what you do,, people believe you are good.. I was such a ego maniac when i dance or performed martial arts moves.. I was amazing .. so to speak.. I recall one time.. I dance so long My girl and I were late to french class.. Mfr. Kourda . i think was his name... I recall why are you always late..? I would say.. I'm coming from all the way from the locker room.. I think he never believed me.. or he just loved watching me say silly things.. but like i said,,, I would dance to dance , and back then we would battle. or make suggestive even obscene moves to embarrass the other guy,  its funny how i used to pop lock.. it was very aggressive and at times.. confrontational.. Maybe that's why we studied boxing and martial arts too,. My secret to alot of moves was incorporating karate , and boxing moves and made them look like dance moves.. Oh by the way I'm proficient at Filipino stick fighting. so I used everything in my pop lock moves,, in fact I still do,,, Its the secret to the pop locker , if your good at basketball, incorporate basketball moves.. etc.. so.. My style was like kung fu fighting stye. you guys remember that song.. But the fondest memory was wearing the loose khaki pants , with the bandannas rags,, we used to call them and pop lock away.. I know gthe girls love it.. but some of the guys would say mean things,, but it was a outlet for alot of young bucks.. like myself.. the music, the vibe , the attention was more thrilling than anything else,, Too see Young girls smile , flirt and what not is why I disrupted school as one counselor told me.. You cant keep doing this , and delaying class starts,, everyone,, watches your group before getting to class,, Yes.. I was told may times., knock it off,, They would plead with me.. What i did back then who knows,, that was so many years ago, I guess , I eventually calm down.. but during that time, I was the center of attention.. that many of the classmates back in the day,, can recall or not.. But it is a fond recollection ,, dancing and showing off my moves ,, and of course,, at that age, we all wanted to be accepted and liked.. It worked for awhile,, but eventually we all grew up,, and stopped bring radios to school and dancing in the hallways,. but during that span in Jr, high,, I showcased what I have posted on fb.. the past few years.. the moves that held Montgomery Mayans from being on time for class.. It was and still the most fun time I ever had. and If  could ,, go back and re do it,, big time,. Over the top and post it on fbook,, you tube.,., man,, if only we had the social media that we have today, My moves would be forever.. posted for all to see.. oh well.. The memories and the old school tunes are still being played and when prompted ,, I break out ans show the moves of the past.. Throw back Thursday and the boom box days,, we all had memories,,, and we all Cherish them..

ARE THE CHARGERS FOR REAL? BASED ON PRESEASON PLAY 2013..
 Are the San Diego Chargers for real? Based on 3 pre season games.. The defense looks better than the offense.. It seems based on play calls and players or lack of play makers or talent.. The Chargers are going to be a grind it out time possession team.. Less time for other teams to score,,, But that also holds true for the bolts.. In essence less opportunities to score.. So when the offense gets the ball, they better make use of scoring... Because they wont have alot of opportunities,, unless the defense causes turnovers and quick outs.. The offense still doesn't have a legit number one wide out since Vincent Jackson left,, Floyd is good , but not a number one,, Meachum or meachump... is a waste of time and money.. Tutu may be the wild card if he can stay healthy as well as Vincent Brown.. As for running back.. We all know Ryan looks great in practise and preseason.. Its the regular season he struggles or gets hurt,, Please give us a full season of play.. WE the fans no longer hope your the next LT, because your not.. LT missed one game his whole career as a charger.. and fumbled less than double digits.. Ryan,, you have fumbled more than you have scored.. Not what a number one pick has to do,. Just give us a full season of great play and not to many fumbles.. As for Ronnie brown.. he is a serviceable back up , more of a third down back,.. the youngster need to step up... ?? Too many question marks on offense for me to dub them a playoff or wild card team.. Compared to the broncos.. we lack talent , depth and experience an d they have the best qb in the game.. Despite his near career ending injury, he made a tremendous comeback.. and is going to light up the wacky weak afc west.. The Raiders have no qb.. Matt flynn had one big game with the packers, and he gets all the hype.. he has not looked good behind the weak offensive line of the raider,,,Pryor because he is mobile may be the better choice.. but with no protection his running may prevent him from finishing the year.. As for the cheifs... Alex Smith. another number one waste,. he will be serviceable , but not capable of carrying that team.. as for the Chargers.. Rivers can be great again,, if he has time to throw and has a consistent running game.. Time will tell.. Based on preseason play,, the chargers are going to run to set up the pass. not the other way around.. Special teams.. is more like special needs.. once again we have players that dont want to block or go after the runner,, Geez we all miss great special teams play.. but one thing is for sure,, the team looks more organized , more fit and more energized under the real Mcoy.. No more Nervous Norv, and watching the chargers stumble out of the gate and then make late runs in the season.. This season.. starts very soon.. against My afc contenders .. Houston Texans.. They have it all and they know it.. Right out of the gate,, we will know if the chargers can compete with the big boyss,, ndf you know what I think they can,.. first game at home... anything can happen.. Look for the chargers to run to set up the pass and get pressure on the Matt Schuab and ruin the homecoming of arian foster , ne of the best all around runners since LT.. The chargers need to avoid turnovers and bad plays,, like penalties and poor special team play.. If so the chargers will win a fair share of games and be competitive,,in addition they need to stay away from injuries,, the bolts don't have the depth to overcome that.. But with a little luck and hope,,, this could be a playoff year,, if they cam 9-10 games... Rivers needs to make plays and avoid losing games late in the year,, the issues last year.. and the defense needs to make big plays and keep the offense on the field.. 
The Real Chargers? Based on preseason play,,. they plan to be a ball control,, run oriented team with a aggressive and tough defense.. Teo' freeney and company will have to step up and make a statement on opening night.. Are the Chargers for real.. based on selling out home preseason games.. The fans feel a new vibe and have good reason.. the team look sharp. motivated and ready, unlike the nervous norv years,,, We may not See the aerial circus we had the past few years, but I will take game wins over entertainment and the fans need to recognize that.. this team,.. may win more games,, but wont be exciting doing that.. ?? Are the chargers for real? I say ,. Come opening night against one the best teams in the league. the nation will find out early,,, if the chargers are for real.. My take,, they are and I predict a upset victory at home .. based on great running , will win the time of possession and the defense will make quick stops and give the offense more chances to score.. Lets see if that comes true. because its a new season a new year and new hope.. and the San Diego fans . for first time in 6 years,, feel like the team is really heading in the right direction.. Go out and support the home team and Lets see what happens next.

    Wow,, what a performance by Miley.. who knew? But then again,, she's growing up and wants to be herself.. Maybe herself is a bit too much.. My take..Power to her.. to be able to do that .. especially she is skinny as stick and no butt. but to each is own.. if anything it looked like a bad imitation of gwen stefani and madonna ..?? Oh well..advice Miley.. Create your own style?? But the lap top grinding , stripper like image ... may not be thing is this socially conscious society.. Today ist all about image ans perception.. even though what image we put up in the public is nothing how we are in the privacy of our homes and friends... right Miley.. ? Well anyways.. I understand she wants to spread the word so to speak on her new image and album... MTV well they want ratings ,, and anyways,, MTV is always on the edge, even the original days,, shock and awe is why kids turn to MTV.. Its always a generation thing when it comes to performing.. Elvis was The devil , the Beatles,, the long hair , the short hair, the punk age,.. Its a show business.. and like any business,, sex sells,.. people like got look at pretty things,., why  we have gorgeous looking weather girls and newscasters. girls use to sell cars.. I know its sexist , its wrong , morally , but society is that way because of the media pounding us with images of sex , and sex appeal,, and then.. how are we to judge this actors , performers who basically give what they or we want.. Maybe we don't want in public,. but we all in sense want it all.. We want the big house, the big cars, the big money , the big job.,. the big life.. We or alot of us are never satisfied with what we have,, at least I'm not.. I want more, and there is never enough money, food, cars,, time.. its never enough and for those that think they don't want more,, your lying to yourself,, Its human nature to be liked or loved or even admired.. we all want to live forever and enjoy the riches of our hard work.. How dare us.. to judge anyone. about how they dress or talk or perform. we should be concerned about real issues. like hit and run driving, drunk driving, child molestation,. rapes, murders etc,,, Not over a seductive dance routine that was over the top,, but did it kill anyone, did it make someone want to commit crimes,, maybe crimes of passion,, but look at the performance as it was,, a chance for a young girl to grow up , show up and challenge that man... thicke who wrote a controversial song,, that Miley challenged him in front of millions.. You may say,, what a phony,.. but haven't we all changed over time?? Of course we did.. We are not the same goofy kids in high school.. we are grown well educated,, child rearing parents that have have carved out great careers and developed and taught our kids our values and concerns.. but just remember.. kids are still kids and they are exploring and developing their own needs and wants,, we as parents guide them.. and hope they choose the right path.. As for Miley.. She is attracting attention like a Madonna, or Jennifer Lopez,, did back in the day,. its more than talent , skills and looks to gain attention in today's social world,, but you need to have a hook, and attraction that people will notice and pay money to see. Perhaps the older generation will not pay to see her.. But the her fans,. if anything are loyal,, and supporting her.. like the days when we were growing up supporting our heroes,, its all about the generation gap.. and those that thought it was too racy,. are probably 40 and above , while her true fans are 30 and below,, and have the means and money and time to listen and enjoy,, remember life is a cycles.. we all have our music gods and we all have our cycles we go through in life.. Miley is the new Madonna or Britney Spears,, or what,,? But she is doing what she wants and if you don't approve,, change the channel or do look.. Because,,. in life ,, you only have a few opportunities and she;s taken advantage of hers,,, just like how we preach to our kid to study, stay out of trouble and excel at school and friendships.. To me.. we have too many uptight people in this world,.. who like to judge and make cruel statements.. I feel we should embrace creativity and encourage our youth to be expressive and true to themselves,.. and n this social media life we live in,. Everything you do is exaggerated and blown out of proportion.. including alot of my blogs.. People. MY thoughts and views are like your.. we all lived and done things to shape our perspective's on life.. But in the end,.. I encourage all of you to think and decide for \youreself, and use my blogs as guides,,, laugh notes,, corny notes , or just simply entertaining reading.. Life is so short and unpredictable that we all need to enjoy what it offers each day and love it,.Because it can be taken away so quickly.. by other.. like drunk drivers, cell phone texting drivers.. careless drivers,, sick minded killers,.. its out there and,, we never know,,???

Make it happen Monday - Inspired by you...
 Good Morning Everyone.. Its a another start of a week in our glorious lives.. I know its tough to get back into the routine. Back to work - back to school , back to the rat race.. Its go , go In socal.. especially for those of us that chose to live in isolated areas.. Temecula Valley areas..I  Mean, sure its quiet and we have 10-12 room homes ,, many of the rooms never ever get used.. Unless you have parties,, but no to many show ups, when you live over 70 miles away and well you know how gas is,, so,, why do we do it>
 1) the price of homes, the square footage of home and land..
2) the lack of traffic,.?? not anymore.. i mean theres 250,000 people living in Temecula , Murrietta and Lake Elsinore alone. The Big 3.. in the area.. But we also have people in Wildomar, Perris , Menifee.. Canyon Lake,, that also add a large amount of people and cars.. But .. the commute is crazy.. many work in LA, ORANGE COUNTY, RIVERSIDE , AND SAN DIEGO COUNTY.. spending hours on the road. thus..NASCAR 15.. anyone that lives along the I-15. KNOW we all drive fast or faster then the normal residents.. Why? Because we have a long way to go and we all spend alot of time the roads.. But think its because the long stretch of road.. that makes you drive fast to avoid the sleepy affect.. The thing is.. We long distance commuters we , have to get up early, make sure,. we have everything in our cars, truck , vans.. like water, drinks, snacks,,battery cables.. etc.. because every day is a road trip.. We have to be ready every day. We check tire pressures, radiator water, change oils, frequently,, make sure we have gas. Its a terrible thing to run of gas in this heat .. I rarely see anyone run out of gas out here. Make it happen Monday. 
 My tips,, is make plans each day to complete tasking,, I know we all have things to do, like fax's to send, or mailing to send.. or things fro work or school.. Make a list and stick to it. and keep marking of everything. off the list..
 As for home stuff. clean a room at a time,., 
laundry at my house is daily... because i have kids that play football, that work out and its hot out here, so we sweat alot and change our shirts and pants on a daily basis.. Its a chore at times to leave so far away from work,, But it forces us to be organized and be ready to leave the House early and make sure we examine our cars more carefully than our counterparts that are smart enough or wise enough to work , live  in the same areas.. Maybe we Inland Empire residents will see the light.. Or maybe not.. But I must say,, Since I retired, I realize , I miss working and I miss having a routine, and soon enough I will be back into the game I used to be part of , during my 20 years of military serviced and before i joined the Navy I had dual jobs,, and went to school. Why? Because I love to be busy and hate being idle.. Because I tend to think too much, get negative thoughts. So for me. being busy and productive is the only way I want to live, and soon It will happy and I;m grateful for that.. 
 Make it happen Monday,. and go out and do what you need to do,,, Because before you know it.. Its gonna be Fun Friday.. Flashback Friday.. football friday.. Aloha Friday.. the start of the weekend/// So get up , get ready and make this a Make it happen monday and week and drive safe and be happy.. Life is meant to be lived , so go out and live it.  Make it happen Monday,. ok.. Take care always..

ALOHA FRIDAY - inspired by my hawaiian friends ..mao loa...

ALOHA FRIDAY - INSPIRED BY MY HAWAIIAN FRIENDS ..MAO LOA..
  Aloha Friday , is a term I heard from my Hawaiian friends many years ago,. and since I was close to them and they considered a a Hawaiian brother..because of my spirit and passion for life and friends.. On thing I learned from them was.. We are brothers and we will protect one another.. No matter what? Right or wrong.. blind loyalty , perhaps.. But if you ever hung out with or partied with Hawaiians , they are like that.. They friendly and kind,, and passionate.. but cross them.. oh brother.. Some of the most brutal fights I have ever seen was with Hawaiian surfers .. They don't give up no matter what the odds or punishment they take.. I loved that spirit.. They have kind spirit , but also a protective one too.. \
  Ok back to aloha Friday.. I saw this first hand at my first command when my ship went to Hawaii for a week,, My supervisor sent me to turn in haz mat.. problem was ,,is it was Friday morning.. We got there and they were ???? well not really there.. They were celebrating the weekend early,, thus aloha Friday.. so being young and dumb.. I decided to chill them... needless to say,, my supervisors weren't happy i brought back the haz mat.,. and had to explain what happened?? So it takes the whole morning to find that out.. Needless to say my day was spoiled ,, while everyone else went on liberty call-- meaning hit the port , hit the beach.. in this case.. I was left behind returning the haz mat in the space and securing it until Monday.. Plus cleaning up all the spaces.. But it was ok.. My Hawaiian navy brothers helped me and off we went.. and Let me say this,, Hawaii for the first time.. as a young dumb sailor. yes we did it up.. But that's my introduction to aloha friday.. in the old navy i grew up,, Friday was refereed to as " ROPE YARN" a day to take care of things you didn't have time during the week. like appointment's,, buying stuff.. haircuts. etc.. Those were the days,, and ever since those early aloha fridays,, I always embraced fridays.. At all my commands friday was either a half day,, a gold day.. a casual civilian clothes day,, potluck day,,, aloha friday.. those days would be a head start to the weekend.. and I enjoyed many fridays at many commands.. So despite the long deployments , the long watches , the field days,, the suffering heat in the gulf.. atleast i enjoyed aloha fridays,, well on shore duty.. at sea.. its a rough and tough life,, I;m sure many of you cant imagine or rather not,..But its the price I paid ,, so i have a free education for me and my family, the lifelong pension , and other entitlements.. TO me since I retired.. months ago. everyday has been aloha friday.. and it has been fun.. so today,,. we ae all Hawaiians and celebrate their passion and spirit of love and brotherhood and sisterhood. Its a spirit un challenged and if you know true Hawaiians and are friends with them.. you are blessed because they are the sweetest and kindest people on earth unless you cross them.. then you wished otherwise. but for now.. go out,, chill, listen to relaxing music and think aloha friday... THURSDAY TIPS.. FOR PEOPLE ON THE GO..

THURSDAY TIPS , FOR PEOPLE ON THE GO..

Hello , everyone, for those of us on the go.. Most of us.. Its a run and run kind of life, especially in Socal.. Los Angeles San Diego - orange county.. I live near Orange County , work and go to school in San Diego , and have family and friends in LA AND SD.. boy do i put miles on my cars.. Lets see MY old car hit 300,000 , before the transmission gave out .. I have another car reaching that mark within the next year or two and my others,,, are getting good mileage on them.. Its the price I pay to live in big house in the middle of no where..?? But we all makes choices and i have to adapt.. Now back to my tips for people on the go like me..

MY CAR TIPS.. WHAT TO CARRY FOR PEOPLE LIKE ME ALWAYS ON THE GO..

1) Always check tire pressure- proper pressure prevents flat tires - and increases better gas mileage. 

2) Always check radiator levels.. check for leaks... Coolant bottle..

3) Carry first aid kit.. - include wipes for spills or general clean up.

4) Have a booster jump starter , not jumper cables,,. but a actual booster.. I bought mine at Costco , matches my challenger color scheme , black and red with carbon fiber.. 

5) Carry extra clothing- you never know about accidents.. or if its gets too hot , your clothes get sweaty and stinky.. cold and hot weather clothes..

6) Snack bars.. crackers , chips , peanuts.. I'm always hungry and at times , or all the time in traffic I get hungry.. so i have something to snack on.. 

7) I carry a cooler with water and soda's.. in case i get thirsty and or need a booster drink.. Like i said I live in Orange County , go to work and school in San Diego and visit family and friends in LA - SD - RIVERSIDE. busy me.. huh.. 

8) Carry a pocket knife or what in your car?? Why?? Simple you never know if you get in a car crash and the seat belt gets smashed , locked or what. Use the knife to cut the belt.. or better yet use a strong pair of scissors,, It may save your life.. I learned this tip form Navy Seals I trained with during my career.. It makes sense.. Well it does to me..

These are my 10 great tips.. and what I carry in my car.. but remember I live and breathe in my car.. I eat , drink, sleep ,, take naps during sons football practise.. Think about it I get up early and sleep late. so I have to find times to nap.. 

9)Carry Windex or window cleaner and car detail - Mothers or Meguiars detail.. and of course a microfiber polish cloth.. CA DUSTER to get rid of dust.. In case windows or car get dirty between car washes.. I have to look good.. Its a black car and anyone that ever owned a black car.. Its a daily battle... 

10) Lastly , make sure you have your car registration - insurance card - and handy dandy flashlight.. if car battery dies at night you have a flashlight to look around car and trunk... or make sure it works,.

I know it seems like a lot of things to carry , but I have to have these things because I'm on the go.. and I have no time to stop fro drinks , or snacks,. and if I can boost my battery or add water or coolant to my car why not? It beats waiting for TRIPLE AAA. or Insurance Co's to help you out.. These are my Thursday's tips and make adjustments to your own needs. I guess a blanket , gloves and boots for cold weather people..

I know I do ,, I have a great wife and family , beautiful home and a great career and my dream car.. and.. last but not least I live in Beautiful SO CAL.. great sunny weather with great sight and sounds. We get to see the best beaches , mountains , parks, lakes ,, and see some of the prettiest cars in the world. We and the world knows how much the Californians love their cars--- rides,-- whips... or what.. From Muscle car to Low Riders with outrageous paint jobs.. if you love cars.. You can see all they styles on any given day or weekend.. Because we all take pride in showing off our rides... Enjoy your commute and if you see Black beauty .. around SOCAL.. WAVE.. if i see you I will wave back.

WISDOM WEDNESDAY - Inspired by News events..

WISDOM WEDNESDAY - INSPIRED BY NEWS EVENTS..

 Good day to everyone.. What a great day to be alive in this world.. Now to my take for today. First off. I'm a proud American Born and raised with Filipino ancestry , but my love and dedication to the UNITED STATES in true American red white and blue, I own a retro American Muscle car and I love American Music, American Movies , American life.. Sure I'm not happy about the gas prices, or other prices for for AND DRINK. I don't like slow drivers in the fast lane, or tail gaters.. I don't enjoy long lines , or alot of paperwork. At times , we all dream about winning SUPER LOTTO or what and thinking where to live.. ?? But even though we have our gripes about America... Believe me.. This is still the best country to live in.. I know I have traveled for 20 years and seen the poor the ugly and the unfortunate.. I have seen how Young girls are enslaved by the sex trade and how they struggle in third world countries.. At times , I felt their sorry as they would tell me their sad story in broken English.. My parents left me, theres no jobs even if you get educated. Its a tough life.. I recall one time I bought a soda and cookies for a young girl.. and soon after because I'm so nice I ending up buying all her family and close friends soda's and cookies,, and then they would follow me down the street , tryng to sell cheap jewelry.. I would say no,.,, then the happiness , would turn into anger. haha.. Its funny how life is.. But its one of my fond memories I have with my 7 deployments and overseas duty stations. It was a rough life and at times lonely one.. Believe me , many times I thought about giving up.. But i thought about my wife and kids. The benefits they would have because of my 20 years out weighed my selfish , and lonely feelings. I survived and now my kids are enjoying a free education and a father that loves them dearly. 

    Now.. the stories about Americans turning govt secrets to whatever.. I don't understand , but in a way i do,, they are young idealist , that feel the truth will set them free. But freedom isn't free, many Americans die for the sake of freedom of speech and freedom of life. The American ideals were fought for many years,, and we all know other countries, may not admit it , but envy our freedoms, our wisdom , our ability to have whatever the heart desires,, I feel if you want to be rich and have the capacity and knowledge you will get rich.. But we also see those with no education and become rich,, But that's the whole wonder of American life.. Chances , opportunity and plain old luck can help anyone.. That's why people that endanger the lives and livelihood of American Citizens, no matter what.. Ideals, insanity, the power of faith.. America is the symbol of freedom.. But we all know it cost money and lives and time to preserve that. But many Americans feel exposing secrets or what is the way to go,, In my opinion.. whatever the Govt has to do , to protect us.. I'm good with that. Including monitoring texts, blogs, face book, I mean the security and safety of the nation is more important than my little ego or image.. But so many people are afraid what the govt is doing to us.. I would be afraid of what others want to do to us.. ? Like i said I have seen the ugly where people don't like Americans.. and they let you know it.. I wouldn't respond with anger.. but it's shocking to see so many haters out there. But then again,, people get envious of the best, and they get jealous of our lifestyle and life.. I mean. Where can you go and see so many different cultures and taste so many foods, and the convenience of shopping and amusement parks.. The beaches , the mountains, freeways , are some of the best in the world.. But many Americans don't see that. Instead they see the bad , negative sides. But words of wisdom.. There are other people suffering right now.. No food , no clothes, no life. everyday is a struggle to live,, I know we Americans FEEL LIFE is a struggle , but spend time in Thailand , or Indonesia and see the young kids, half naked and hungry and begging for you to buy their stuff. ,,including their bodies.. What a shame.. But what do i know,, if under the same climates, or situation,, I would or you would do the same.. a starving stomach and weak bodies , makes people of the street do what they do.. But life goes on.. and we must go on. As for wise advice,, Be happy with you life. because others are not so fortunate and even though tough things happen , divorce , broken relationships.. We must overcome and be happy,, Go out and make today the best day of your life. Because God knows this day may be your last,.. Embrace everyday and cherish the past, and look forward to the future, but today is a gift,, that's why we call it the " PRESENT" .. today is the future.. Enjoy and be happy and when you feel flustered , just think about the poor people that live in PI, or Asian countries , where every day is worry about what or will I eat today.. Its seems trivial ,But too many people think about their own lives and don't look at the whole picture , the big picture... There is a big world out there and we all at least for a moment should realize that the troubles we have don't compared to those that have nothing , but love and faith in God , and hoping despite their unfortunate situation.. They will be saved and given eternity. Which I saw in so many of them.. They would smile and be happy , even though they have no material wealth.. Just a thought to consider, before you get into your fancy car and put on your nice outfits and drive to work, school , the mall or what. Our lives , though complicated and frustrating.. its still a life I embrace and love and wouldn't trade it for anything else..

TUESDAY TIPS - JOB SEARCH - IT WORKED FOR ME. 

 Hello everyone, another great day to celebrate life.. Enjoy, if your going to school or working. Be happy do your best.. Whether or not the job is not exactly what you want or the teachers are hard to handle,. Be happy.. Now to my tips.

 I have many tips that worked for me..

1) Create a Portfolio- Meaning - keep reference , keep letters of recommendations. - keep work experiences- include - phone numbers and addresses and of course name of your supervisors. 

2) Keep a log of the jobs you applied fro,, dates resumes sent out or uploaded.

follow up with emails - phone calls soon after submission

3) Exercise , it relieves stress and keep you rejuvenated during your job search, it creates a routine , like work.. '

4) Always smile at any chance you meet a potential employer, job fairs, interviews, seminars, golf events.. always smile and don't be afraid your looking for employment.. Smile and and shake hands,, and don't seem desperate.. Actually be in charge,, Get into the thinking.. they are luck to have me.. 

5) Always tailor your resume to the job descriptions. and always have resumes with you when you , you never know when a job is open.

5) Use Internet job searches  and resume tips. or programs. Linked In was very helpful for me.. and always be open to tips and suggestions especially those that have a job.

6) Don't burn bridges and always keep in mind , jobs can pop up anywhere, consider everything and anything and be flexible.. Remember-- There are millions looking for job.. In other words be humble , and always be your best in person , face book or what.. You never know when a employer may be considering you ,, only to see that you drink every day , or your mingling with undesirables , whatever that means.. In today's world , image and perception is everything and anything.. Anything that puts you in unfavorable light or doubt , could cost you a job, a career or an opportunity. Its hard , I know , but today's companies are so into image and protecting their product.. They don't want attention freaks or cry babies , that need attention They want someone that is focused on life's real issues , like paying the bills, taking care of family and friends and the company they work for.. It may sound like a sad reality, But reality is life and we all have to abide. by it. I lived the Military life for 20 years and I have encountered all kinds of bosses and supervisors that were something else.. I also encountered all you can imagine,so civilian life in nothing compared to what i used to do and What I'm going to do.. 

7) Practise Interview responses, make up a list of questions that your future employer may ask. you don't need to memorize . just have a outline , and top points and base your responses on that .. Also be consistent in your responses and answers. be patient. 

8) Imagine problem you had at work and how you resolved them.. Think of some and be ready to answer with conviction ,, and be loud , clear , precise and make eye contact. 

9) Be enthusiastic about everything about company- keep details of company in your portfolio,. and be ready to interview anytime. Always be in the mood. Like I said a quiet meeting at church , or gym session, could open up doors.. Be vigilant and be positive about your abilities and skills.. Sell your self.. if you don't believe in yourself,, No one else will..

10) Last tip Have faith , you will get hired and be confident in your abilities and remember God is watching those that care for others.Don't let past rejections from work, life, ex wife , girl friend, boy friend , both bother you.. Keep your eye on The prize and when that opportunities happens. Score. I had many rejections than acceptance and it was devastating to my ego and pride, But I took each rejection as a learning experience and approach my next job inquiry. It was a hard , long and many times frustrating process. But after a few interviews and rejections. I finally got it right..Which is,, Sell your self and above all get along with your interviewers. they are going to be your peers or bosses and they are trying to see if they can get along with you and work with you. Alot of people forget that.. but its true the interview is more of Lets get to know you,, and you need to embrace and go for it!!! Good Luck in your job search, and if you follow one or none or some.. If anything just get started and be vigilant and Never Give up.. I'm happy with my life and I'm looking forward to my new career and I'm hoping all of you reach your goals and aspirations, Take care and Enjoy life. if anything , that's the whole key to enjoying life.   First of all , whatever you drive. Its ok for you.. I mean we all have different needs or feelings about cars.. Some of us feel.. A car is a means to and end.. If its get me to point A  to POINT B.. than that's what counts no matter how it looks or what kind of horsepower it has.. Some of us could care less about color , style,, two door , four door, convertible, van.. truck.. etc.. To each is own.. 
 Now back to my story.. You are what you drive.. If you a conservative , earth conscious person you're probably going to drive a Smart car or Hybrid,, boring cars. Nothing wrong with that.. I might get one .. if gas prices continue to climb.. It might be the true smart thing to do.. Then you have the soccer or football mall mommy cars. the mini van.. Geez, I own one.. but I really hate driving it, despite all the technical features.. Its a great long road trip car,, but not for cruising around.. Its just me. I'm a look at me personality,, so a van,,, is not my cup of tea.. Unless we are going to Vegas, or the Grand Canyon. Because of the room and you can spill stuff n it.. haha,, the family all purpose vehicle.. But... 
  THEN THERE IS US... THE MUSCLE CAR SPORTS CAR GUYS. We want horsepower , we want the looks , the feel of the car.. When you drive the car that is meant for you ,, you know it.. If your  driving needs are met , than you bought the ride of your life.. Nothing is more refreshing.. then getting every time you drive and it feels like your in a different world. That's what I get every time i get into my Challenger-- Black Beauty.. its like MY alter ego takes over, I become the car. I am the car.. The car attracts attention , even just parked,, IT has the triple black shiny black paint job with red stripes going from hood scoops to fender,, and the tinted windows and body kits , spoilers ground effects gives it a menacing yet beautiful look.. The Car has a Gorgeous look, but it also a teaser willing to show off. Hmm.. kind of like the driver.. Like I said cars are an extension of our personalities. What we like , what we value and what's important in your lifestyle dictates what you drive,, For years I drive a ugly plain jane saturn.. It was a POINT A- TO POINT B CAR.. because that's what I wanted, and could afford.. But after 20 + years of Military service and proudly serving this great country THE USA.. I wanted and always dreamed of owning a Muscle Car.. I grew up driving Mustangs, Camaro's Pontiac fire birds.. I mean I would drive friends and family members cars.. and I loved them all. Mustangs are the fastest , and most manauerable muscle car I ever driven. The Camaro's have the power and looks,, and Firebirds are like the middle child... so when it came to retire age,, I was searching and yes I searched for years what I wanted,, I decided on camaro.. maybe bacause of the movie Transformer.. But things change,, feelings change. or should I say test drives,, I test drove the Camaro' s, The Mustangs , the Nissans, they were all fun to drive,, probably drove the sale person nuts, I was only interested in test driving. but hey Ifim gonna spoend $ 50,000 or so for a car.. Why Not..? But each car just didn't have the wow effect.. well the nissan did,, but it still wasn't enough. so,, Fast FIVE,, came out.. and VIN DIESEL.. at the end of the movie brings out this BLACK BEAUTY of a car, a DODGE CHALLENGER WITH A WIDE BODY KIT.. I was hooked.. Soon after wards I went to DODGE DEALER IN TEMECULA ,..ST PATRICKS DAY . and I was hooked,, the power, the back seat room, the truck space and all the technical features met my needs. The basic plain jane interior was ok for me, It just felt right. I felt like the KIng of the Road that day and every day I drive my Dream Muscle Car.. Sure its not a stick shift so to speak,, I have tap shift. But anyone knows this SO CAL traffic will drive you crazy,, So I decided on my tap shift challenger,. and even the name, fits me.. I was always a challenger , a gambler , a underdog,, a loner. Its fits me because I'm always out to prove myself.. My personality is I'm always looking ahead.. to the next day , the next month,, the next car, house,, city etc.. I'm never satisfied,. I don't rest on my laurels,, Some people are satisfied with old school music.. I love it too. But I also love and listen to the new sounds and enjoy new things,, I love the old cars, only if it has the modern day features,, there is a reason they don't build cars like that anymore , Too heavy , too many blind spots, bulky , hard to handle or park.. But hence.. I chose my car because its kind of a mid life crisis, I wanted and dreamed of muscle cars of the late 60's and 70's and despite the poor gas mileage.. I can get 24 on the freeway , if i leave in cruise control eco boost mode,, that means 4 cylinder mode.. But we all know its too hard to do that , but I may have to , if I'm gonna make it a daily commute to San diego very soon. But IT wasn't the gas mileage, or the comfort or feel of the car that sold me.. But it was the looks and the performance it had. It has great straight away speed - freeway. and had comfort like a luxury vehicle.. because of the weight of the vehicle.. Plus the push leather interior and great technical features just make the sale.. At first I didn't like the red hood to fender stripes , but soon after driving it home and getting all the looks, I was hooked,, My wife , who I love dearly, bought me this car as my retirement gift, she actually bought it while I had months left in the Navy.. Its was true saver, It made me deal with the last months of the navy life. My car is me.. An attention seeking , high performance machine , with a comfortable and relaxed interior with practical application's like gas mileage, truck space and back seat space.. It covered what I wanted in a weekend warrior car and a daily driver that's going to be driven day in and day out..The black color is beautiful , but a daily tasking to keep clean. I have to wipe it down every time I drive it and its a chore, But Its a beautiful car and I love driving it,, despite the critiques out there. I know it may not be the fastest , or the meanest looking muscle car out there, But it fits the people like me that want the looks , but not truly interested in top notch speed. if I was the Mustang or Nissan would be the better choice. Instead I have or own a cross bred car that incorporates the Muscle Car looks , with the features of modern day daily driving, The cabin space and backseat space is applicable to my needs and the smooth driving ride , also gives me pleasure, Plus the feel of being King. of the road. is a great feeling I cant explain.. Other than,, Its me , and and extension of my personality.. Anyone that's knows me very well , can attest to the fact The Challenger not only fits my personality, but an extension of myself. The Car , like the driver are extensions of each other and each time I start it up.I'm reliving the days of my youth, when we were fast ,wild and free.. with no responsibilities. well.. For moments wen I'm driving this car. I get to relive my youth. Until  I get out and have to deal with , pushy people or rude cashiers, or even ignorant co workers.. Work and school are that, things to deal with, But after each day , There is no better feeling to know I'm about to get into a Car I love and dreamt about.. My challenger is me. and Vice versa.. You are what you drive and don't let others dictate what you like. I love all cars,, But I love my Challenger, until the Next Muscle attracts my eye.. The Viper, The Corvette, the NISSAN Z, THE JAGUAR? or what. I never say never, But for now I'm loving my DODGE CHALLENGER HEMI POWERED V8 - WITH MOPAR COLD AIR INTAKES AND MUFFLERS.. MOPAR = MOVE OVER PARAS ARE RACING .. Nothing beats the feel and emotions I have for my car.. As for everyone else.. Enjoy what you drive, Because in a sense you are what you drive,, ENJOY..

THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL- CHARGERS VS. BEARS AUG 15,2013...

THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL - CHARGERS VS BEARS AUG 15, 2013..
  Its time for football, I know its still preseason and the starters only play a few series if that. But its football and warm up for the Real season.. 
 As for this game,, story lines.. you fans recall the Rivers and Cutler back lash , these two don't like each other . I wonder why? They are both selfish , think they are better than they really are.. In this case Cutler throws a perfect pass and looks the part.. Rivers throws weird and not always accurate , but is a coaches son, so he knows the game. Whose better? Its a toss up,, when things are going well they both do well. when things are bad,, they are whining , complaining team mates.. But as fans we defend each others QB.. as a outsider writing about sports. I see two players that are on the crossroads ,, both are on teams that have failed in their expectations with fans .. Both teams want to do well this year and , I can see improved performances and winning records,, But play offs? We will see,, 9-7 ,10-6 , will make the playoffs.. Can these teams pull it off? Yes, But they must remain injury free and make few mistakes.. Both teams don't have that dynamic offense , they both have to grind out wins this year. Its the way they are constructed,, Ball control run games, burning the clock, and winning the time of possession game.. Both defense are stout against the run , and have good pass rushes, but the secondary is adequate to a point. 
 Tonight , look for both 1st teamers to get more physical and score some points before they sit.. As fans we are more interested how the starters do, after that.. its basically tryouts  for 49.50,51.52,53 roster spots. or special teams guys.. oh , yes both teams have issues with special teams.. I want to see how both teams perform.. Other stories . Is Rivers adjusting to the new spread offense and quick decisions he has to make.. Is the Charger defense playing stable and is there a better pass rush.. As for the bears.. Can they run all over the chargers and will Cutler have time to throw? In all we want to see how the starters do against each other. and Is rivers going to make a scene with Cutler.. I mean its preseason.. But we all know Rivers, he's never has a loss for words or facial expressions.. If anything , As fans lets hope for some good football while they are in.. But most of all ,, Its a time to chill out during a almost over work - school week.. and giving us time to prepare for that exciting season , when we all waste our times on Sunday , Monday , Thursday-- throughout the year.. Football is here and we are enjoying this prelude to another great season of THE NFL.. But for now enjoy the sights and sounds of exhibition football and Lets get ready for exciting things to happen.. Like the Steelers return to playoffs. The improvement of the Raiders and Chiefs,, and the record breaking efforts of Mega tron and Adrian Peterson.. I see a fun year , are you ready? Enjoy my fans.. WISDOM WEDNESDAY - MY INTERVIEW TIPS THAT WORKED !! AUG 14,2013,,
   Good Morning Everyone , first off its my Birthday.. hoo ray!! , 
   Now.. to my Interview tips that worked. I know you see and read about tips from scholars , educators , etc.. But do they really work,, Or are they classroom ideals.. In my personal experience I rather learn something from someone that did it and has proof.. Well here's my proof I recently applied and was offered a great position with a reputable defense contractor l known around the world.. Northrop Grumman gave me a opportunity to be a part of this team and I plan to give it my best!! Now my tips that worked..
 1) Don't be late ! 
2) Wear a Long sleeved shirt with tie.. One watch , one wedding ring.. nothing flashy !!
3) Don't wear cologne , or anything that will be distracting !!!
4) Firm hand shake and Smile early and during and often and at the end.. 
5) Be humble and look interviewers in the eyes. !!
6) Don't BS. and don't make up stories, and don't be afraid to have them ask the question again..
7) Be thoughtful , concise and consistent. They asked me the same questions but phrased differently- My take they wanted to see if your consistent or telling the truth. 
8) Eat before the interview, even if its not too much,, you don't want a growling stomach,, 
9) Turn off phones , pagers or any other devices that will throw you and the interviewer off.. Best best. Leave it in the car... The calls or texts can wait until afterwards.. 
10) Bring copies of resume and references and have questions listed , they don't mind you looking at it,, even though I didn't,, I reviewed it before interview.
11) Speak clearly and don't mumble. and be yourself. Relax.. They are trying to find out if they can get along with you.. Makes sense,, Sure he might have the qualifications , but if I cant get along with him.. Why bother? This is your chance to sell yourself and get along.. Take advantage..
12) Ask questions about Company, and what the position is all about.. Ask about duties and explain you can do those and always think Team work and resolving conflicts.. 
13) Expect questions about position , like forms, and what and how to do certain taskings of the job.. Be precise , clear and correct. don't guess. Think before you answer.. They want to know if you now what to do and whether you know how to speak clearly and understand questions they are asking. 
14) Sell yourself. You have to have a Mission statement about yourself and the company.. Understand both and incorporate both in your answers.. 
15) Lastly, research the Company and its latest news worthy accomplishments and show alot of interest in the Company and always smile and think this is my dream job .. Be courteous , friendly and smile. It will create a great interview experience. 
  These are tips that worked. I answered all their questions and scenarios and I smiled early , during and at the end.. I was courteous and I was thankful for the opportunity and asked when can I hear form them regarding the decision.. and Smile and firm hand shake.. It worked and it should for all of you applying or just attending job fairs.. Network, network,, and don't burn bridges.. Every contact , every friend is a potential employer , co worker or tipster.. and Smile .. and I hope the tips help you or just remind you , when you did your job interview.. Nothing in life is easy and the interview process even for me was nerve racking and painful.. But if you come prepared and you fit the qualifications, than the process is nothing more than an opportunity to introduce yourself and get liked by your employer , Boss.. Thank you and go out and have a great day and remember.. Every day is day to rejoice and love.. Take each day as a chance to learn and enjoy life and each other.. Lets Kill people with Kindness , rather than killing each other.. Make a difference .. because we all deserve the best in life!!

FOOTBALL FRIDAY AUG 10,2013- BOLTS VS HAWKS - POST GAME THOUGHTS.

FOOTBALL FRIDAY AUG 10, 2013- BOLTS VS HAWKS - POST GAME THOUGHTS..
  First of all I thought the changing the color of the name tags on the back of the charger jerseys is ugly.. Different color names and numbers , makes the jersey ugly.. Why mess wit perfection Charger brass> Well anyways now to the first teamers.. vs, first teamers hawks.. The Charger defense was very impressive and the offense was moving well, particularly on the ground.. I see the Chargers being a ground and pound team , than the aerial circus we enjoyed with Nervous NOrv.. I hate to say it , but those days are gone,, Don't expect this team.. as constructed,, to be a aerial circus and cumin back from 24 point deficits.. Don't expect it.. and Don't dream about it..This is going to be a ground and pound with passing as a diversion , than the main stay.. The defense will keep the low score and the Bolts are going to score enough to win.. But the special teams needs work.. Because letting the opponent's start at 40 or 50 yd lines vs.. starting on your 20 or 30 yd line.. It makes for a long season and a defense that's going to worn down like last Thursday.. I liked how Rivers moved the ball and make quick decisions.. Its a simpler offense and it seems its suiting him very well.. But he looks a season away from blowing out a knee or what.. The line better protect him.. because if clipboard Jesus is going to play,,, forget it.. The chargers wont even break even.. As good as sorenson is,, he's still a project and needs seasoning.. 
 Ryan Mathews,, he looks strong and fast , and is making better decisions,, and if he's healthy will be used. But based on the past few seasons.. I don't expect that , that's where Ronnie Brown and Danny Woodhead come into play.. The offensive line did well , but it seems it more suited for run blocking,, so that may be the formula for success. If anything this team is young and will make rookie mistakes, and the growing pains may take a couple seasons. This team is young team in transition.. I know the fans want super success, But I see a 8-8, maybe a 9-7 team. The Chargers have a tough schedule and the Raiders and Chiefs are going to be better. The years of domination is over.. but its the first game , in preseason.. and we cant predict what will happen. But its clear the chargers have a solid first team.. but after that.. its not so good.. Its clear the seahawks 2nd and 3rd teams are much better than the chargers.. 
 One thing that concerns me is special teams play and mental mistakes, off sides, illegal procedures and plain old aggressive penalties.. But then again this is a young team with no experience with a rookie coach and  young GM.. The fans wanted change and now it has happened.. But like i said,, the aerial circus we enjoyed with Norv Turner is gone,. this will be a ground and pound with some short passes . But one thing is for sure,, Its great to see energy and attitude with this team.. But it has a learning curve ,, the players and fans need to address.. Both of us need to realize that the chargers we used to love ,, is No longer there.. This is a new team with a new attitude and offensive strategy.. I see them grouding and pounding and using short passes and long runs after the catch.. gates looks good , as well a floyd.. But the others need to step.. during game time.. Royal was practise gem,.. but did nothing during the game.. Meachem same thing,, Well .. its just a summer football game. Its how this team play in Sept and late Oct,, that counts.. The Bolts have a tough schedule and a new offense to master .. Thsi team cant afford to get behind , ot what.. to win games.. They will have to play error free football  with time consuming offense.. If not this team will have a tough time to have a winning season..  NOt because they don't have the talent, but how the head coach wants to construct this team.. Ball control,, time management and error free football.. It might not be exciting, but it may produce winning playoff football, something the bolts haven't seen on a few years.. But I have a feeling alot of the fans,, are not going to like that. But winning games and making the playoffs will alleviate that desire for aerial circus football.. The fans wanted this,, and we have to adjust to the new scheme chargers..

Chargers Vs, Seahawks - Thursday Night - Preseason Game ..AUG 13,2013

CHARGERS VS. SEAHAWKS - What Bolt fans need to look at!!??
   First off, Congratulations to the fans who  made this game a sellout. I know alot of fans from other places , make faces and question your loyalty.. But in this day in age and economy.. Gas is outrageous, utilities bills, clothes, shoes.. just living in socal is pricey,. I applaud those fans that pay hard earned money for a preseason game.. '
 But the facts are..Rivers had been terrible fro almost three years. Yes, he had a lousy offensive line, but he is also not a Mobile QB or a nimble one. Many times I saw his lack of patience , trying to fiorce things to happen.. He's not a throw thrower or has a quick release and not very accurate. But he is a great game manager .. His a coaches son and Knows the game.. Despite his physical limitations.. and Lets not hear about it takes time for a qb to be relaxed in a system.. Case in point The San Francisco phenom.. Kapernick.. Not only was a back up , but a young QB in a new system.. He took the niners to the big game.. Andrew Luck took a losing team to the playoffs. I'm not saying they didn't have help.. great defense and a talented players, but they willed their teams to win,,, Why? They are humble , hard working and Look at things as a team effort.. I would love to play with those guys.. Can you say the thing about Rivers? I mean when things are going well . He's great.. But when things are going bad , we have seen the tantrums with Nervous Norv and other players.. LT, etc.. We all know chemistry and have each others back is more important than talent and skill. You must heart.. something the Chargers have lacked since LT ' sproles , Vincent Jackson departures.. Yes.fans ,, Lets see if Rivers has a grasp of the new offense and lets see how these retooled offensive line does against a quality defensive pass rush.. 
 The loss of Denario Alexander is Rivers heart ache. They had a connection late in the season.. while players like Meachem , Royal, were no shows.. Its a new year a new system and a new attitude.. Give them a chance,, We have the real McCoy who did winders with Tim Tebow.Lets face it ,, the fans of San Diego are frustrated and angry with  or have been under the Nervous Norv and AJ Smith era.. But I sense a new feeling and attitude with the players and fans.. Why? We have coaches that want to prove themselves then a coach who relied on past reputation??
 My take on Norv Turners Offensive coordinator Superbowl winning success.. 
TROY AIKMAN, MICHAEL IRVIN , EMMIT SMITH,, AND THE BIGGEST AND STRONGEST OFFENSIVE LINE EVER IN THE HISTORY OF THE NFL.. LARRY ALLEN IS AND PROBABLY BE THE STRONGEST EVER OFFENSIVE BEAST OF ALL TIME!!   My take how can you not be successful with Hall of famers like that.. But that was then and this now!!
  Now look at Ryan Mathews, he's lighter and faster , but he still has trouble reading defense and making quick decisions,he still has pass blocking issues and lacks Mental toughness despite his looks, he has the muscles and tats, but he refuses to play in pain or make that smart decision to take what the defense gives you.. 
 Next I want to see the next coming of Jr Seau.. Mante Teo' is a beast , but that's practise I want to see him tackle and dominate.. along with Donald Butler.. I'm also interested to see the signing of Dwight Freeney , cashes out.. He's a super man when he's healthy and ready.. I feel he may be the hidden treasure on defense.. In addition the new corners acquired ,, we need to look at.. Because this defense was not good at crunch time.. 
 Charger fans look at Coaching,, organization and a perhaps having a true two minute drill.. We all complained about Nervous NOrv's lack of two minute drill preparation.. I want to see how the coaches handle pressure decisions . Its a fun time and true test to see if the Chargers are going to be something this year.. It can happen.. The AFC WEST OR WORST is still searching for a identity. The Broncos are the most talented and balanced team in the AFC WORST. but losing their center is a great concern to them , whether they want to admit that or not.. The Chiefs and raiders are starting over with New Qbs... BUt they look primed to contenders in the future.. The Chargers are a WORK IN PROGRESS and the fans are excited about this season.. No more Nervous Norv, or AJ -- Mr alienated players.. Its a new feel and a new era.. Tonight.. We will see how it looks.. But don't expect a great team right off the bat.. '
 But lets hope we see more pep in their step and players understanding what they need to do and Rivers , taking what the defense gives him.. If nothing is there , throw it away look for a check down.. I don't see him taking 50 sacks THIS SEASON as prolonging his career. Remember he has bad knees and has taken a whipping these past few years.. 
 My last thought,, I hope to see Free agent QB Mark Herrmann.. sorry if i Butchered his name,, But he's a tall strong and much more athletic QB.. and may be the QB of the future.. He has a quick release and a strong accurate arm.. that the spread offense demands.. But for now Lets support this team.. and Watch how Rivers does... But recall. He's 30 now , with damaged knees, and next year his contract ends.. and THE NFL - not for long may apply to him..I know it sounds crazy to say it , but if My underdog QB pans out.. Rivers maybe cut because of his pay demands and age.. THE NFL is meant for the Strong and young and what have you done for me lately? Rivers was great when surrounded with great talent.. But with less talent and a inconsistent offensive line, he made poor decisions and mistakes that cost the team chances to win.. We thought Rivers was a Manning , Brees, Brady elite type .. But the past couple of years showed his a great game manager with physical limitations , lack of mobility , not a strong or accurate arm and a less than desirable quick -release. THE NFL is evolving.. The Dan Marino , stand in the pocket days are no longer in vogue.. and Rivers if he doesn't re-invent himself this season.. Maybe looking for another team,, Because this team is making a complete change , on offense and defense .. and the skills that worked in one system ,, maybe not the exact fit..now.. But Lets see what Rivers does, but I'm hoping we can take a nice look at the future in Mark Hermmann... He maybe the wild card player that absorbs this spread offense .. 
Enjoy tonight and Lets see what the New Chargers have to offer. But the fans have spoken.. They are excited and willing to buy into this Team.. Based on overcrowded practises and the biggest showing at Fan Fest in years. Plus selling out a preseason game.. Lets see if the Chargers can begin this new era with no blacked out games..  Well it seems the dreaded word.. Injuries in training camps. If there is one thing that will change the make up of teams is key injuries.. THE seahawks LOSING percy harvin, or the Chargers losing mouton and Denario Alexander for the year.. But the most concerning is for arch rivals the Broncos losing their center. I'm sure Manning is pressing on his old center he had with the Colts Jeff Saturday to come out of retirement , even for one year.. Because the Broncos in my humble opinion to win it all this year. Great defense, great qb.. and strong offensive line.. My early season pick is the Broncos and Patriots in the AFC CHAMPIONSHIP.. but with out a quality center, The broncos could be in jeopardy.. But thats why training camps are nervous time for players , coaches and owners.. When a player gets hurt, the money , the time.. and the issues of who's going to step up. But thats football, the next guy has to be ready? Are the backups ready to help these teams.. We hope so , as fans.. But football is back.. we a day away from Thursday night football.. The Chargers vs. Seahawks.. Most starters don't play alot.. Its tine to see who makes the 50, 51,52 ,53 spot on the team.?? 
 Next the Eagles wide out,. racial slur.. its great he's back on the team.. as for his comments. only time will tell if the players accept him.. Michael vick. has forgiven him , and thats a great leader.. The Eagles with the Chip Kelly offense and Mike Vick , I see the eagles making a playoff run.. Just a thought. As for other news.. I see alot of records being broken.. Passing wise,, Its that type of league,, and its gonna happen.. As for Adrian Peterson.. he has been knocking on the single season mark for so long.. I see it finally happening.. I mean. With the poor tackling and the emphasis on passing,, tackling and runners who are brutes will have big years.. I really like San Diego based runner at Texans Arian Foster having a big year , as well  the Texans.. 
 Lastly ,, Its great football is back and Lets get ready for a fun and exciting year.. I see so many great things happening and having a great Superbowl.. The Niners went to the big game with a back up qb,., that was the story last year,. this year they win it all.. My early season pick. They are the most well rounded and balanced team in the league and have the youth and talent for have the next dynasty.. But once again.. the teams that make it all the way , avoid big injuries and play consistent good football., Thats why I see the Niners playing .. The Patriots or Broncos.. and the winner is.... Well its too early for that.. BUT I see the Niners returning to glory.. Enjoy the season.. Another game tomorrow.. CHARGERS VS. SEAHAWKS..

Make It Happen Monday. Inspired by my Mentors..

 Make it happen Monday! Take today and make it happen , whether its making plans for today or the week. It's simple , if you need to work out do it, no excuses,, If you need to study , make time.. if you need to thank someone do it.. I know its all the same advice , but its all good. We are all busy with work , or school or our kids going to school plus maintaining a home, etc. I know I never have enough time to do these things,, But if you break things down,, One day or certain time slots for your activities , makes achieving your goals.. In other words time management.. Its life.. theirs always something unexpected coming.. bad brakes , broken faucets at the house,,, pain in your arms or legs,, head aches,, its all part of life. The good times , the bad times  the hardships.. But in the end. We all must go on.. Because its life.. and life like we have seen in the news lately can be taken away not from the MAN ABOVE.. so much , But from crazy drivers, insane criminals.. reckless cops.. etc.. Its maddening , But my advice .. take care of business and take care of today's issues,, don't worry about tomorrow , because it might not come.. I don't mean go out and spend all your money or call in sick and have fun.. I'm saying embrace today , like its your last,, embrace your family , your friends and of course embrace life.. Take advantage of the opportunities are in front of you and be passionate about everything you do,, Give it your best and never give up.. We all will face trials and tribulations , and we all need to overcome them. A true test of character is one that stands tall an doesn't let the miseries of life , to dictate their behaviour, a true man not only defends his man hood , but also defends woman hood, by not attacking them or calling them names or degrading them. My beloved mama told me.. women are simple.. to get along you go along... and though its taken me a life time to finally realize that.. But its true.. we all know they want things their way.. and to be honest , I'm good with that. Because if i had t decorate the house, it would be full of fighters and cars... or sports stars,. not exactly classy.. oh well .. I realize that life and love is so unpredictable . and you have to follow ones heart.. Because if you don't .. your destined to unfulfilled life.. I keep things in my life I love and care about.. I do things because they mean something to me.. If i don't have full compassion for something  don't keep them in my life.. I love my family , my close friends , my best friends,, my home. my Martial ARTS stuff.. My muscle car.. My blogs.. I keep these things because they are part of my life and anyone that loves life,, keeps those things that make one happy. I know its a simple thought , but alot of us get caught up with work, career, future ,, that we don't slow down to smell the roses.. If anything today just take time to realize whats important to you and go out and do it and embrace it.. for today is the start of a new day and a new beginning in life.. the future is now.. so make it happen!!!

A tribute to Mama.. Inspired by her birthday..

A TRIBUTE TO MAMA. INSPIRED BY HER BIRTHDAY AUG 2....
 I want to say THANK YOU TO MY MAMA.. She passed away many years ago,, and I miss her dearly.. She is the reason.. I understand or appreciate women . She taught me ,, a man not only protects his manhood, but also woman hood. A great man.. supports and defends his women and doesn't use curse words to degrade her, no matter if they do that to you,, Its clear I learned that very well. I know I at times make my wife say the most colorful things to me.. But like a true man.. I take it, because I'm tough and  I understand the dealings woman go through,, I mean, the hormones, the pressures from society, to be a certain way.. The provider , the house wife , the image , the super woman.. I understand that.. I'm not saying I don't have an ego.. but I understand that True men.. think about family , future and the retirement years,, Its coming., I know,, that's why my perspective on material things have changed.. Its funny when your young, you never have enough clothes or shoes, now.. I'm contented with being simple.. and thriving and working for my retirement years,, how? But instilling the values and morals my mama taught me. Be the man,, by treating people with respect and learn to forgive peoples actions and demeanor's, no one is perfect and well need to understand that. I realized that some of the people I have met in my life , has spread those words of wisdom. My mama taught me when I was young.. Its tough to change, but real thought and making that commitment is what will help you deal with life's struggles and tribulations . My best friend Joe taught me alot about human nature. He says, people are always going to judge you and even test you your character. Be true to yourself and others and the true family and friends will stick by you.. I realized , we all say and do things when we feel offended or threatened. Its our defense mechanism.. but unlike in the past,, I now know that I have forgive and go on.. Because life is fleeting.. life goes so fast.. I mean I have a kid in college and another one getting there in a few years. Don't take things for granted.. If you have time to spend with kids, do it,, Because once they grow up.. Its just pictures and videos;' and your memories.. Precious , but not the same,. Embrace the ones you love. is what my beloved mama taught me, and I'm embracing that.. So to all  my family and close friends, and of course my best friends.. I want to say, Thank you for your support and advice and even though I may not see my friends like i used too.. Your advice , your love is in my heart and always will be.. and To me that's more important than spending time with them.. But times change , people change ,, but for now I have kids to help grow up and a career that's waiting for me to excel.. Thank God , for giving me the strength to deal with life's challenges'' I'm ready for the rest of my life and I want to give tribute to my beloved Mama. who not only guided me, but is still watching over me, as I become the man , the human being , she always embraced and supported,, I love you MAMA and I miss you dearly.. I will be faithful to your love and passion for life. I will keep your legacy alive by being like you,, Humble , sweet , compassionate , and above all a great parent . I live my life by taking care of my wife and kids, and of course my best friends and close friends that accept me for what I am.. A passionate man with a desire to make people happy .. MY mama , my true Mentor, My true love of my life!! I won't disrespect your legacy and I will live my life , like you did. Respect for others and of course devotion to Family and friends!! FOOTBALL FRIDAY - AUG 2, 2013..
 Well ,, football are moments away.. Hall of Fame game this sunday.. Great inductees.. Congrats to all of them.. But whats real cool about the whole event is the stories. about the hard work, the sacrifice, the hardships , the parents, mentors , coaches , teachers friends , lovers.. Its so true non of us bet where we are . By ourselves. everyone has a mentor , a coach , an inspiration.. Its just life. But alot of the youngsters I encounter in my life or face book, are lost in translation. They brag about drinking , smoking... sleepless nights. partying.. nothing wrong with that. I mean. I was young once.. and I did my fair share of partying. But now.. I'm a middle aged man , with wife and grown kids. I have to think about their future as well as mine.. 
 But back to football. Isn't is strange this one white football player gets reprimanded for using a racial slur, while the brothers so to speak say it to themselves all the time.. ? Just a thought.. and One football player actually hit his mother .. Now whats worse hitting someone that brought you into to this world. or saying a word , in a heat of the moment action at a concert.. The Mob rules mentality takes over.. But its today's day in age.. what you say , how you say it and how you are perceived is what makes you or defines you.. But this is the NFL - THE NO FAIR LEAGUE.. but to be honest its real life too... Because we have accused killer on a prestigious team , we have steroids use or performance enhancing drugs.. we have the full array of low life's in the NFL as in real life.. But as fans we endorse them we embrace them? Why? Because deep down inside , we want their lives and power,, its powerful to play a game so well that millions pay to watch you,,, buy your jerseys and other team stuff.. Its intoxicating for players, That's why they feel entitled , they feel above the law.. We worship them , put them on a pedestal every game.. or what? I'm not saying its our fault. I mean every man or woman makes choices,, But our adoration doesn't help.. But we are fans,, and we look forward to preseason games , who are going to be the new stars and who is going to win it all? The Patriot's, The Bronco's, Packers , Saints ,, may be the early season favorites.. But I see bounce back seasons for the Steelers , Giants , and yes The Chargers.. if injuries are limited and those star qbs get protected,, These guys Big Ben, Eli and Rivers have proven they can win.. the first two have won it all all ,, Its Rivers that has the most pressure.. New Coach, New Gm , New Offense line , new Pass catchers, offensive line.. No more excuses, This team needs a turn around. Look at the Colts last year.. 2-14 , to 10-6 , within a year.. That's possible when you have a solid offensive line,, great consistent qb play.. and of course a talented coaches to guide players.. Things happen fast in this league,, for example,, The Lions were beast a couple years ago.. and last year they fell apart.. But its a new season and new hope,, Anyone has a chance,,, The keys is no big injuries, and consistent playing football, and of course a little luck.. This years Superbowl winner can be anyone.. ?? Its just history, The Rams, Patriots , Buccaneer's all won SUPER BOWLS when the league thought otherwise.. Who is that new team.. to step up... The Chargers, Raiders, Texans , Bengals..  Rams.. someone will break out, and I see records broken this year.. AP will make running fashionable and the Premier QBS will throw for a ton of yards.. It will be fun and it all starts this Sunday's Hall of fame game.. Football is king and we are happy to make him happy.. Break out the jerseys' hats, flags , banners, chairs, and root for the home team... Our next several months,, are devoted to football, sorry spouses.. but its an addiction , that all fans can't kick., they have to have it..  Enjoy my fans,, this season is gonna be fun for everyone. !!
