FOOTBALL FRIDAY. JUNE 13,2014..
The game most of us over is coming back in about 90 days or less, The mini camps, the open training camps , the Fan fest , the pre season games.. The excitement is building just hearing about it.. I know at times we get pissed off with the new rules the decisions etc. But we are all addicts and we come back for more.. No matter what.. The draft was fun. and watching all the teams prep and get ready for the season is fun.. My wild card picks are the browns, and buccaneers are going to be the surprise teams this year based on their talents and skills and both teams like to play defense,, and even in todays crazy wide open offenses,, defense still wins championship,, just look at last years winner, not the most exciting offense,, but that defense stifled the best offense in the league last year. And we all know how this league goes.. Its a copy cat league.. if a team with a better defense this year will do better than a team that has a wide open offense.. I'm not saying you don't need a dynamic offense , you still do,, but you need more balanced attack..
Now for Charger fans.. The defense is going to be better with the Nigerian Nightmare at linebacker.. atochu ,, spelled wrong , but you know what I mean, and the corner verret will be great attitude changers for the team.. At times one or two guys can make the others step up,, I feel these guys work ethic and in your face I'm the best attitude will create some noise this year.. If they can make a few stops and get some turnovers.. for the offense.then the bolts will score more points and control their games with more ease.. I like the Reich time offense, the no huddle , west coast offense is going to be exciting and the running back stable of Mathews, Brown , and woodhead , and Grice will be some headaches for the AFC WEST.. TEAMS.. not to mention gates, greem allen, brown, royal and floyd.. will be a very great group ready to explode.. I see the offense being one of the best this year , if everyone is healthy and strong.. Its gonna be fun.. By having a great GM like telesco and the realMccoy a coach ,, makes all charger fans celebrate.. Because those sorry 6 years with Nervous Norv,, just about soured even the most diehard fans.. But last years rebuilding / playoff run , was not only amazing , but surpising and this year I see a better offensive and defiensive line,, and a better win loss ratio this year. I know the bolts have a tough schedule, but thats ok.. If rivers has time to throw and Mathews and company have lanes to run through. I can see a high scoring machine ,, and a defense that creates turnovers and makes those crucial stops,,, I can see the Bolts finishing 11-5, 12-4.. The key is starting fast and maintaining that high level of play into December where the schedule will make or break them.. It wont be a easy season, but I see alot of excitement and great football play this year..It marks the 51 year of Charger football.. The bolts are ready to explode and the city is wanting for another playoff run and fever for the fans.. With the vote on the new stadium.. a great season and playoff run,,, could very well make or break the idea of a new stadium for the bolts. If anything ,, I predict excitement and many memories , Just like the many years the chargers have entertained this city.. But I feel this team has the right team players to make a great move.. I know we heard it before,, But the way Rivers , gates , mathews and that defense played last year.. I saw alot of potentially amazing plays this year and the fans will be treated to another season to remember , and who knows..like the 94 Chargers,, that made their first super bowl and only super bowl appearance of this franchise.. 20 years later ,may be the lucky number for this team.. For charger fans break out those flags and banners and all the bolts stuff you can find,, because this year feels right.. The broncos have so much pressure to return to the big game, but that blow out exposed them as a very unbalanced team.. A scoring machine , but a terrible defense.. If the Afc teams take care of their needs , which i think they have,, THE AFC west , will be the wild wild west.and The Division winner could make another run to the SUPERBOWL.. but don't count the bolts out.. Because they are a young and talented crew that is ready to step up.. and be noticed.. The broncos,, had their chance and they will be great as long as Manning can stand up and throw, but that defense ,, needs help and is gonna be fun to watch the wild wild west... Last year provided 2 wild card teams.. Which may happen again.. but don't be surprised if two other teams are the wild card entries from the AFC WEST.. I'm excited , and cant wait for football..the true America's game.. But for now,, enjoy the picnics, the parties, the movie watching, but when NFL football returns,,,, the religious fervor will return and we all are going to be hooked , like every year/.. FINANCIAL FRIDAY - MUST HAVE TRUST , JUNE 13,2014
Well another week down and time to unwind and have fun, but don't forget to pay yourself first, if today is your pay day , make sure you save even if its $$20 , 50 , 100 dollars or more, Make it happen. Because time goes by so fast. If you don't save now. Its going to take alot to save later to catch up.. and if anyone noticed time doesn't come back.. sure we can listen to the old music or watch the old movies or even wear the old clothes,, But prices, inflation..etc .. don't stand still. So , the best advice for today is save and always look to get the best rate of return for your money. If an account is garnering a low interest rate , you need to look elsewhere,, Ask your financial associate or family and friends what investments they use.. and take note.. and I'm sure every family has someone they know about finances or savings plans. Today's life , we are often caught up in making money and paying bills and neglect the fact we need to save now , tomorrow and beyond,, Nothing is going to get easier as we age. Medicare , health care , life insurance, etc are issues we all need to take a look at , if not now sooner than later. Why? Simple , we just don't know when we might get hurt , sick or die.and not having some kind of insurance for your loved ones is not only foolish , but sad. Life has no emotions regarding your health or even death, alot of the times the unexpected things happen and we have to decide under pressure. I know , when my mama passed away, the fact she established a plan for her final expenses was a great stress relief, but they are other expenses , she could not of foreseen, that's why every family needs to have some kind of plan, or seek out professionals that can guide them to the right path. I know I get great satisfaction when I educate and train people about finances. Its almost enthralling and thrilling to see the faces and expressions of those people I help. If anything , I hope my blogs and advices , at least makes you open up your minds and start thinking about savings , retirement plans or life or health insurance.. Its called protection and peace of mind for yourself and family.. I know I bought long term insurance to protect myself and protect my family from being burden in caring for my needs. If anything I want my kids to enjoy life and not worry about a aging and sickly old man , if that happens.. I know I'm trying my best to stay in shape and be the best that i can be.. Be we all know mother nature and father time may have other ideas or plans.. and no matter what we do.. We are subject to the ravages of time.. If anything I want all of you to think about the future and are you ready for it.. If not what can you do now,, to prepare for the unexpected expenses or issues you may have.. I know one thing I made the commitment to pay now and hope for the future,, then pay later and use all of your retirement savings , that you should use for retirement , instead of high cost medical or health expenses, if anythings , the biggest reason for poverty in the world,, is that people didn't prepare for the future and let things happen. But then again life is unpredictable and who really knows what may happen to anyone. But being a conservative and somewhat realistic person, I'm taking my chances paying for insurance and saving money for the future so that my retirement years is truly happy and golden.. I wish you all well in life and all your pursuits, and may you make the right choices in your life decisions and monetary ones as well. Nothing in life just happens,, If you want things to happen , it takes thought , effort and discipline and desire to succeed. Have a great day and weekend and just think about whats important in your life.. If you do that then you will make the right choices for your family and its future well being!!

Thoughtful Thursday , June 5,2014..
Well another day to happy.. Why because we are alive and enjoying life. I know life doesn't always give you the right breaks.. We all have frustrations, regrets, anger about past events. and its only human to store those feelings.. But just think about it.. Its done, its over,, we must overcome, we must forgive and move on. We are passionate , emotional beings.. we have ego's pride , we have feelings.. But we also have love for one another and we all want to be happy.. So, My advice is don't be afraid to say sorry when your wrong or not,, Its something to let things go and move on.. We all have family and friends and we all enjoy their company,,but chances are we all say and do stupid things,, but guess what ,, that's why we are human.. if your looking for that perfect person.. its never going to happen.. for goodness sake,, some of the people I can party and get along with,, are some of the people I could not live with day to day or on a daily basis.. I know..as we get older, we seem to get more inpatient and more sensitive,, and if we were that sensitive or inpatient when we were younger heaven forbid how the older years will go. But that's why we have hobbies and prayers to ease our minds and thought. Its funny how thoughts can change our attitudes. but whats important is that we recognize our faults and work on them and if you need to reach out to someone.. please do. because it seems in today's society , we are so concerned about being image conscious and perception minded. Its a stressful event to live in today's world. any thing you say or do can be posted on you tube, viber , face book,, etc.. so be careful about what you say and do. Its just the facts of life.. Your image can dictate so many things about your personality.. In regards to today's wisdom.. my thought is this.. Enjoy life and don't take family and friends for granted,,, if you feeling like calling, even for a few minutes.. sometimes a quick chat , can make your day or week.. Don't let impulsive thoughts or actions , dictate how you feel about some one especially if you have a lifetime of loves and enjoyments.. I know , I'm humbled .. by my family and their efforts because without them.. I'm just a lonely guy like everyone else.. Nothing in life matters more than family, and sometimes you need to feel the loneliness or emptiness of them not being there ,, to appreciate them.. I know I served over 20 years of military service and now that I'm home I enjoy every moment I can.. before they grow up and move on.. Have a great day and remember .. happiness is a state of mind and we all need to share that with those that mean so much .. Its harder than you think.. Everything that's worth anything in life,, takes daily work.. Until my next blog.. Have a great day!!

San Diego Chargers 2014 Season Outlook... The True Challengers!!
San Diego Chargers 2014 Season Outlook.. The True Challengers..
The San Diego Chargers have been the true challengers , since they began back in the 60's in the AFL league , no one paid notice to them in LA or in San Diego, even winning a AFL Championship , gave them no respect so to speak. But one thing is clear, the true fans , the ones that saw them in powder blues and watch Air Coryell , days to the power t shirts.. you guys recall. those mellow yellow power charger shirts.. man those were something else to say the least and of course that disco playing San Diego super chargers song was catchy but not tough ..haha.but its what San Diego is.. a mellow laid back place where surfers, skate boarders, bladers, bikers.. mountain and road types.. would chill out.. But guess what true to form the chargers would always entertain and excite us and most times disappoint us, but we would wipe the tears and root them on again and again.. OH .. the heartbreaks, the holy roller against the raiders, the missed field goal kicks , the fumbles , the injuries , of the stars , it seemed for years the team of excitement was also the team of misery and heartache. As fans we would curse out the players , the officials the weather,, oh gosh the ice bowl against cincy back in the air coryell days was heartbreaking, the high flying chargers could not deal with sub freezing temps.. But we would root on.. The Bobby Ross days,, Boss Ross with Natrone Means and Stan Diego Humphries brought this team to its only Superbowl appearance.. and though they were massacred by the mighty niners of the day.. It was the only time San Diego got to feel the rush of a championship run.. They had their chances,. 2006.. the greatest year by any charger team and one of the greatest years by a running back in NFL history.. but ,, fumbles, missed kicks and blowing a big lead to the Mighty Patriots.. was disheartening.. and yes. the Patriots doing the Lights out dance was humbling.. but to see LT , rise up and challenge those guys to knock it off. showed what pride LT has.. that texas pride was awesome.. he tried to share it with the San Diego fans.. some or alot supported it , but too many of the players and fans,,, didn't have that fighting spirit.. kind of a shame.. because LT is a Hall of Famer some day and great player who by himself.. Brought back pride to the ligtening bolts.. he is no doubt the greatest charger ever and deserves all the accolades that come with it..
But to this season. My outlook is this.. Rivers has a chance to redeem himself one more time and with Allen , Royal, Brown , and Ajirotutu.. and a resurgent Floyd and some rookies sensations. I see the offense being even better .. Mathews, Wood head and Brown. will be a triple threat that the NFL will see in full force.. remember Woodhead was great at catching passes out of the back field,, the same with brown.. and Mathews is a strong runner that can gain tough yards and keep time of possession on the chargers side.. The defense is the question mark.. We a hoping Ingraham and freeney will be healthy and the new bloods atochou and verret will add some attitude to a defense in desperate need.. Teo' needs to step up and be the player we all expected him to be and the vets need to lead the way.. I like Mccoys demeanor and Telescos's style of selecting players that will fit the system.. It feels so much better not having nervous norv or ego aj smith to decieve and lie to us.. Its a new attitude and feeling in Charger land.. and it feels great.. Last years winning season and play off run was really unexpected and fun.. But expect a better team with better depth and play makers to give the Broncos a run for their money.. My prediction is Broncos will win the division.. but the chargers will finish 10-6- ,, or better and get that wild card slot and make some noise again. The chargers are underdogs and forgotten by many NFL experts, because Peyton place is in town,, and as long as Peyton is healthy ,,,, The broncos will be contenders,, but don't be surprised if the chargers makes strides and challenge the broncos,, and if the broncos slip up.. it could be the bolts winning the division this year.. As for the Chiefs and Raiders.. Sorry guys.. both teams don't have a quality leader or quarterback and play tough schedules.. I see the Chiefs having a 8-8 record and the raiders having their traditional 4-12 record.. Matt Shaub is a done deal.. he just there to mentor Carr and take hits while the raiders rebuild their offensive line.. same with the chiefs. only the chiefs have a better QB and more play makers on their side.. Its gonna be fun.. I cant wait until preseason ,, starts and we can see the future stars of each team.. and when kick off starts.. The true challengers .the chargers will go under the radar and make some noise .. But I know.. its the same old chargers , tease , tease and then displease. but I say,, this year will be different in so many ways.. We have a great leadership at GM and head coach and a player with great passion and desire in Philip Rivers and Company.. Only true blue San Diego fans can understand why we love this team.. Its a weird feeling seeing the bolt flags fly or hearing all the charger songs.. Its the San Diego pride thing , only die hards that have lived through the joys and pains of many seasons.. that make us Charger fans.. I know we haven't won a Superbowl, and we have attitudes , their time is coming and if I were you,,. Come join the ride this year.. It might be one heck of year to watch.. This could be the year!! or at least we are going to cheer like it .. Until the next sports blog.. Cheer on .. and Go Bolts..!!
