MEN WHO SUFFER . THE BOND WE SHARE..
  Men are prideful beings. We often wear our emotions on our faces and our actions. We never admit fear or never want our enemies to know they we are hurting. We vent , we curse , we laugh and privately we cry , but in the end we all want the same thing in life. We want to be respected and loved. When that happens , whether its divorce , death or what it freaks us out. Men are like young boys at heart , we know we have rules , regulations and goals to aspire for , but we also like to play and joke and make fun one another. Often times women, don't understand our moods, sure we don't have that Monthly curse , and we know Men exaggerate pain , I mean women have freaking babies , sometimes weighing 10 + lbs for months. I know most men , cant stand pain for a few minutes , forget about months that would kill us.. 
 But the worst suffering you can go through is going through a cycle in life that is long and arduous and sometimes frustrating ., What am I talking about? , Inspections, examinations, under ways,, deployments. Military life? 
 Men who serve in the  military have  a brutal , stressful and sometimes unforgiving life, Alot of us, wanted to be singers , dancers , actors, lawyers , etc.. But because of money , or trouble with the law or home life, those aspirations were dashed.
 Thus , Military service, Choosing a life where you are away from family and friends is a stressful event , you never get used to being way from family , or you never like deployments no matter what exotic ports you hit. It doesn't matter Thailand , Japan, Hong Kong, as much fun those places are and always be, theirs nothing like being home with loved ones. Theirs nothing like friends to drink and laugh with, or going to fast foods and gorging out all night watching your favorite movies , shows , sports.,., orDriving your dream machine at night blasting your favorite tunes... or whatever hobby you love to do..
 The more men suffer at sea or under stressful situations , the more closer we get, I know the jokes or the mannerisms we display alot of people especially women that don't like the testerone ego maniac men that the military produces. But guess what? If not for these hard charging , ego manics that are not afraid of hard work or stress, than we wouldn't have the best fighting forces in the world. I know , we get tired of the drills , exercises , repetitive training , but its all good.. We need these challenges , because we embrace those tough situations. The more we overcome these obstacles the more refreshed and stronger our minds get. The Military is not for the weak, it either makes you or breaks you, and the longer you stay in, the harder it is for them to tear you down. I know I have been a veteran of many conflicts , and intense inspections and stress. But you know , every time I pass a exam , or inspection I feel strong , appreciated , I feel good. Men if anything want that recognition that pride that I'm worthy of praise and honor. In the heat of battle or stress men say mean things, but bottom line , Men want each other to succeed to be proficient , to be strong. I want all my shipmates to get those qualifications and training and go along to get along. It took me a while to learn that philosophy and alot of times i still need reminders. Men build bonds because they suffered and tolerated stressful scenarios and achieve success! Men who suffer together , often time Party together the best. Why? Because of the common bond of sharing those intense stressful moments. If your not a military member , you don't understand , and probably don't care, But you should be thankful than thousands if not millions of young men choose this harsh and lonely life that often is misunderstood and given bad perceptions. Bottom line , Our comrades in war and conflict are our brothers and like brothers and sisters of real families , in the Military world we love one another, and we get hurt when one of own is hurt or dies , or hurt themselves. The life we chose is not for everyone , and for those that stay military for careers its even a stronger bond we share when we finally hang up the uniform and boots. The pain and suffering is a bond no other experience can be measured unless you lived that life. You walked and talked the talk.. You had to live our lives and feel our pains to know the bonds we created. Its one of the most special connections anyone can have in life, is that of a military member   under duress and under long deployments to foreign lands and seeking out danger that many of us rather not face. Because of that danger and the stress we have endured during our careers , that has manifested a tremendous bond among men in the military. I'm honored and thankful for the many Men that have shared my happiness , fears , anger and frustration over my long military career. I have suffered , and I have survived and soon I will become a civilian who will support and encourage this military machine and its complicated mission. Until my next blog.. Stay Strong!! CHARGERS VS. CHIEFS KEYS TO THE GAME WEEK 8 OCT 31,2011

CHARGERS VS. CHIEFS KEYS TO THE GAME..

 This is a big game for both teams , they are trying to take control of the wild wild AFC WEST. The Chargers have issues at CB- Antoine Cason got burned so many times last week he finally got benched for the rookie Marcus Gilchrist. The same may be true this Monday night. The Chiefs have a young stud in Dwayne Bowe and if Cason is not ready you may see another TD show like last week. 

 The Chiefs started this season having trouble scoring , but now they have their mojo back and after embarrassing the Raiders in the Black Hole. This Chief team is ready to roll. They played the Chargers very tough in San Diego, at Arrow head is going to be loud and proud. Recall , last year the Bolts got mistreated and loss that game and that's what cost them a spot in the playoffs. 

 The Chargers need to get their star running back Mathews going often and early especially in the passing game. The last time Mathew's faced the Chiefs he had 2 TDS.. I expect a heavy work load for the up and coming star. Antonio gates needs to be used in the red zone , and Vincent Jackson needs to get more involved , with gates in there expect Jackson to get more single coverage , and more opportunities for catches,. We also need to use short slants and screens to Crayton and Brown. Rivers needs to play well for this team, with out him the Chargers are in trouble. I expect Rivers to make those long passes and get his passing game back on track. The Chargers need to score first and often and keep that crowd quiet , a close game could be disastrous for the Bolts.. The chargers are 1-2 on the road and a long trip east on Prime time TV, lets hope they play up to their potential. I see a more confident Rivers , in the passing game, now that he has his security blanket Gates. Defensively , the Bolts need more of a pass rush and need to stop the run. The weakness is at CB- IS CASON ALRIGHT? IF not expect him to be pulled right away for the Rookie Gilchrist. 

 The Chiefs want this to be a low scoring hard hitting game, they don't have the weapons to be in a shoot out with the Bolts. I see them having long drives consuming time and keeping the ball away from Rivers and company. On defense , I see the Chiefs not giving up anything deep and play zone defense, Rivers will pick apart the style until the Chiefs feel the need to play man to man, with Jackson , Gates , Floyd, Crayton , Mathews , Tolbert catching passes , it might be a long night for the Chiefs. 

The Chiefs are going after Rivers , hit him , and hit him often, if Rivers is hurt they want him to feel it. 

 Bottom line: I see a tight close game early , until late in the game when the Mathew's and Tolbert wear down the Chiefs that will lead to big passing plays late in the game. BOLTS VS, CHIEFS TRICK OR TREAT NIGHT? 

 Under Norv Turners Reign the Bolts are 9-3 after a loss. The Bolts usually don't lose two games in a row , and they are looking better on offense , despite their awful 2nd half collapse against the Jets last week. 

 The reason ANTONIO GATES-- is the best tight end and the security blanket for Rivers , Rivers looked like the Rivers of old in the first half. What happened in the 2nd half is beyond comprehension. The team relaxing , having no killer instinct , or both. The talk after the game , the blame game , the throwing people under the bus, Enough already , its one game , But things need to change this Monday on Prime TIME TV,, HALLOWEEN NIGHT,, Can be trick or treat for the Charger fans, Will we see the real chargers? For six games now we have seen only glimpses of greatness last week's first half, the Chiefs game in SAN DIEGO , moments in New England. But we haven't seen that signature Charger wins,, recall the Marty's days. it seems we had alot of blow outs back in the day. Well , this week the NORV Bashing, the Rivers is hurt , the new offensive coordinator play calling , etc has surfaced. Ok,, I also hear RIVERS having his 6 kids , have affected his sleep patterns and routine. Perhaps.. But whatever it is, its time for the Bolts to make that run they usually do. It;'s time to use your players .. We have gates., lets use him in the red zone he is practically unstoppable in the Red zone.. The Rookie sensation Vincent Brown , he needs to step up ,, I like Floyd , but he get hurt so much, I also like using Tight ends in the back field for blocking, Tolbert is a good runner and he needs to be used for that. Jacob Hester is a better running back than blocker , despite the added weight, he needs to used more for that purpose. Mathews needs to stay consistent , because he has proven to be a effective pass catcher out of the back field. The defense needs to get more pressure on opposing quarterbacks,, The rookie Gamble - replacing English will make that difference. His presence on special teams will help us get better field position for our offense and keep opposing offense's having great field position. This is a make or break game for both teams.. A win by the Chargers , and they hold any tie breaking procedures with the Chiefs., A loss and the division is wide open, especially the Chargers still have two tough games with the dreaded raiders. 

 This Halloween night is a coming out of sorts for the Jekyll and Hyde team of the NFL. If the Chargers are for real , then this game will expose or dispose of the Bolts under national TV. My feeling is that the Chargers play their best game offensively and defensively in a tight close game , with Rivers making those clutch throws and Mathews and Tolbert if he plays dominating the Chiefs late. The Chargers will jump to a lead and use the running game late to finish the game strong. I see Rivers making a few big plays to gates , Jackson , and Crayton, and we frustrated Charger fans see the real Rivers and Chargers play. The time is now to showcase your true identity , because the following week on NFL NETWORK,, THE RAIDERS COME TO TOWN,, AND GET SET FOR A HARD HITTING , SHOW CASE GAME FOR RIVERS AND HIS CREW as they will look spectacular at the " Q" as they make their late season run for the Division title and play off run.. trick or treat , ? THE SOURCE WEEK 8 PICKS..MY SELECTIONS IN BOLD 
 Well last week was my worst week, my first losing week. But that's how the NFL= NO FIGURE LEAGUE has been. I still have a overall winning percentage. But last week hurt. Do I change my style of selecting , No , I consider last week a aberration, This week I will get back on track..


COLTS(0-7) VS. TITANS(3-3)- The Titans are 3-3 and 2-1 at home , The Colts are 0-7 , and looked horrible last week giving up 62 Pt's. They wont give up that much , but the key word gave up ! I see the Titans win this easy because the Colts are in deep trouble and it looks like They don't have faith on their quarterback or head Coach, this once proud team could possibly lose every game this year. 
SAINTS(5-2) VS. RAMS(0-6)-The Saints are 2-2 away , but The Rams are horrible without their star QB Bradford. I see the saints scoring early and often and the Rams are in contention with the Colts , Dolphins , for the Andrew Luck - Star quarterback from Stanford.. The Phrase " SUCK FOR LUCK!"
I see a blow out and the Saints piling up points and yards and Drew Brees make strides in setting a new season  passing yard record. 
DOLPHINS (0-6)VS. GIANTS (4-2)The Giants are 2-1 at home and I expect them to win this easy. The Dolphins have more problems than a Math book. I see another blow out at home. Manning has a big day and the Dolphins , chant " SUCK FOR LUCK !" 0-16 - I think the 72 Dolphins will have not like this Dolphin record.. 
VIKINGS (0-6)VS. PANTHERS (2-5) The Panthers are 2-2 at home and the Vikings are win less on the road, as good as Christian Ponder played last week, now he has to go on the road against a hot QUARTERBACK, it might be a shoot out , But I see the Panthers winning a close one at home.
CARDINALS (1-5) VS. RAVENS (4-2)The Ravens are 3-0 at home and that streak continues , last weeks struggles was disheartening for raven fans , but I see Flacco and ray rice get untracked and win this easy. The cardinals have issues they also are in contention for the Andrew Luck sweepstakes. Another blowout ! 
JAGUARS (2-5) VS. TEXANS ( 4-3) The Jags played a wonderful game on Monday night , probably one of their best defensive efforts in years. The Jags are 0-3 on the road and that streaks continues. I see the Texans , winning this hard hitting game.. The Texans will dominate and make that statement that they are the best team in THE AFC south and a true contender for the AFC. 
REDSKINS(3-2)VS. BILLS(4-2)- The Bills are the surprise team of the AFC, They are 3-0 at home and I see that streak continue. Shawne Merriman is hurt again and maybe lights out on a short and spectacular career. Nevertheless. The Bills continue their outstanding play at home and beat up on a mediocre team with QB issues. 
LIONS(5-2) VS. BRONCOS (2-4) The lions , " THE ROAR IS BACK !" this team has brought pride and excitement back to MOTOWN- Barry Sanders was the most remembered thing about the Lions for years. This team has a great defense and a stud quarterback, the word is he's hurt. If so , I like the Broncos winning with Tim Tebow. The lions are 3-0 on the road and the Broncos are 1-2 at home. The trendy pick is the Lions , but the Tebow effect at Mile high against a young team with a not so healthy QB, I SEE THE BRONCOS pulling off the upset of the week. 
PATRIOTS(5-1) VS. STEELERS(5-2) These are the two elite teams in the AFC, you have 9 Superbowl wins between these two great and proud teams. The Patriots are 2-1 on the road and the Steelers 3-0 at home. This will be a rough and tumble game , but the Steelers defense will make some plays and their running game and passing game will give Patriots all day long. A great game and perhaps the game of the week. This should of been the Sunday night game !! 
BROWNS(3-3) VS. 49ERS (5-1)The Browns are 1-1 on the road and the 49ers are 2-1 at home. The Browns won last week 6-3 , that was a ugly game. This week , the niners light up the browns and make a statement they are true contenders in the NFC. Alex Smith and company have big games and that niner defense gets turnovers  and more scoring opportunities for their offense. I see another NFL BLOW OUT GAME. Count it 5 games I see as blowouts, so much for parity , not this year.. Too many NFL teams suck.. this year..
BENGALS(4-2) VS. SEAHAWKS(2-4) The Bengals are a solid defensive team that can stop the run and run the ball, they have solid players all the way around. The seahawks have a new starting QB CHARLIE WHITEHURST- sorry Charlie , your not a upgrade , in fact I see the Bengals winning this easy , maybe not a blow out but I see the Bengal's winning this game and keeping that loud crowd in seattle.. Quiet...
SUNDAY NIGHT GAME - COWBOYS(3-3) VS. EAGLES (2-4) The boys are (1-2) on the road and the eagles are winless AT HOME..The teams  that get a late turnover  will use it to take a  lead  and the winning score.. I see the eagles winning a close one for their frustrated fans that haven't tasted victory at home this week. Romo has another Big blunder , under playoff and big game pressure!!
MONDAY NIGHT GAME - HAPPY HALLOWEEN ! 
CHARGERS(4-2) VS. CHIEFS (3-3) These are two old AFC rivals , I see this as the statement game of the year. You have the young talented upstarts the CHIEFS, and you have the old , reloading Chargers and mystery team of the NFL..The Chargers two losses have been against two AFC elites , and both on the road, the Chiefs are 1-1 at home. This is a make or break game, Last year the chargers lost this road game and it hurt their chances to make playoffs by one game. This could have the similar effect. I see a close game , considering the Chiefs played very well against the Bolts at SD, it will be noisy and the Bolts better be ready, I say they will be and Rivers gets untracked and Mathews and gates have big days,.,this could be one of the TOP THREE GAMES OF THE WEEK. PATRIOTS VS. STEELERS , COWBOYS VS. EAGLES , AND THIS GAME..

CHARGERS VS. JETS WEEK 7 - KEYS TO GAME ..OCT 2011

CHARGERS VS. JETS WEEK 7 - KEYS TO GAME..
 This is a must win for the play off talking Jets, They need to get the run game going and establish a early lead and have that defense take over. According to stats and trends the Jets can stop the pass , but having trouble against the run.. Example Raiders had a run away win against them. The Jets have trouble on offense , theirs no chemistry and connections on the passing game, the offensive is not opening up the wholes for the run game. I see the jets using short , slants passes and LT in the passing game.. I also see them once they establish a lead use that pound and ground running game. 
 The Chargers are use their tight ends and slot receivers Crayton , Brown , Walters to test those safeties, the Corners Revis and Cromartie will be tested , because they can be beat , but you need to have the right plays called. Use the tall receivers to out jump revis , and with Cromatie , count on him having a lack of concentration on a few plays.. I also see Mathews , tolbert having big days catching and running the ball. The Jets are going to hold down the pass game early , that s when the run game will be effective and when the Jets start putting more guys in the box and play closer to the line. That's when Rivers and crew will start making big plays on the pass game.. 
 Both Teams need to avoid turnovers , and both QB's need to manage the game and take what the defense gives them . patience is going to be the key point. I expect a few big plays and that will be the difference. Special teams also can be the deciding factor.
 Final analysis-  I see the both teams coming on fast and trying to establish their wills, and whoever does that which I expect the Chargers to do, I see the bolts jumping to a lead and suing their run game late to maintain the lead and wear out the questionable run defense. Afterwards , we see a very cold and unemotional hand shake by Rex Ryan , and a quiet and season changing win for the Bolts. The Jets will have media attention statements and the Chargers start the rest of their season with their true identity as a offensive machine and a true contender for this years Super Bowl... THE SOURCE OVERALL - 57-33, WEEK 6 , 11-2,,WEEK 7 PICKS.
 Well , the best week I ever had , Does that mean I know whats going on or my formula for selecting games is getting better? So, What is my formula , simple How teams are playing? The Quarterback Play and point differential on games won, plus the overall feel of the team. Mentally , physically , in other words what team is playing the best balanced football. Do I take defense into account , sure I do , but this year is definitely the year of the Pass offense.. 
 SEAHAWKS VS. BROWNS- I like how Pete Carrol has the sea hawks playing and A minor upset win for the upstart seahawks..
FALCONS VS. LIONS- Two interesting teams could be the game of the week, but the Lions were exposed last week, inability to close out game against a average offense,. The falcons are not average and need this win to stay in the playoff hunt. The Lions taste another loss at home.. Another handshake debacle ? 
TEXANS VS. TITANS- The Texans were the favorites until Andre Johnson went down, I see the hard hitting Titans winning a ugly win at home.. 
BRONCOS VS. DOLPHINS- THE TEBOW SHOW arrives in Florida State, a good homecoming? The Fins need a win to save their coach, if not I see a coaching change for the Fins. Tebow will have his moments but not enough to win this close game..
CHARGERS VS., JETS - The game of the week, the most competitive game on this weeks schedule.. The LT affect? I see the Bolts getting their passing game going because the Jets can stop the run, Mathews has a big day running and catching the ball. The return of gates , also open up opportunities for Jackson, Floyd, and cray ton.. I see the Chargers winning this easy and the Jets bickering , Just win ,, babies,, start to come out .via media , news .. Trouble in New york.. 
BEARS VS. BUCCANEERS- The bears are the mystery team of the NFL, one week they look like a Champion , the next the stink up the joint.. This week on the road,, I see a stinker and the Bucs run wild on this aging and proud Bears defense... 
REDSKINS VS. PANTHERS- What a difference a week makes, the redskins are now trusting a unproven and young QB , sorry Can Newton lights up the redskins defense .. My upset pick of the week.. 
CHIEFS VS. RAIDERS - Wow, this could be the game of the week, both teams play physical defense and love to run the ball. The Raiders will pound and ground their way to a low scoring , hard hitting game with the raiders pulling out a late score and holding off the Chiefs.. The Raiders will not have their money place kicker Janikowski , and Palmer will not start. Boller will manage a mistake free game and let MCFADDEN AND BUSH RUN WILD on the Chiefs.. 
STEELERS VS. CARDINALS- The Steelers are back playing tough defense and smash mouth football, which has opened up their passing game.. The Cardinals don't have enough weapons to hold off the Mighty Steelers, win easy.. 
RAMS VS. COWBOYS- THE COWBOYS should win this easy and The rams must be wondering about what happened this year.. 
 PACKERS VS. VIKINGS- THE BEST TEAM IN THE NFL , plays one of the worst,, I see a blow out and talk about the undefeated season.. This could be over by halftime.. 
SUNDAY NIGHT GAME - COLTS VS. SAINTS- The beginning of the Year with Peyton manning.. This was a game of the year candidate -  I see Drew Brees light up the Colts , and painter gets more lessons about THE NFL.. THE NO FIGURE LEAGUE.. ANOTHER BLOW OUT?? What has happened to the great match ups.. Not this week.. 
MONDAY NIGHT GAME - JAGUARS VS. RAVENS- The Ravens are too strong and too good,. I see another blow out win on national tv.. Ravens show the world why they are true contenders for the SUPER BOWL!! 
 Bottom line - this is a terrible week for great match ups.. I see the chargers vs. Jets as the best game , but it wont be that close.. Texans vs Titans will be a close game.. Chiefs vs. Raiders a running game game with hard hits and a record penalties.. Emotions run high for both teams.. The Broncos vs. Dolphins will be interesting game because of tebow... But the fins will play tough for their weary Coach and frustrated fan base.. If fins don't win this game , they could go win less , what a embarrassment for a franchise that owns the Perfect season of 17-0 , THE 72 DOLPHINS.. .. well they could be the proud owner of a 0-16 season.. joining the Detroit Lions as the only two teams in NFL history to go win less the entire season.. Or get this The Mighty Colts might challenge for that 0-16 , as they continue to lose games and make bone head plays.. Two teams going win less, I don't think the NFL wants that to happen..

Carson Palmer to Oakland Raiders, Good or Bad Deal? 
 The Raiders traded 2 first round draft picks for a old , but still good quarterback. He has health issues  bad back and has taken alot of hits during his career. He is a classic drop back passer and can still throw the long ball, he doesn't have the accuracy or quick release , but he has that strong arm , the Raider nation likes. He is experienced and can win games for you. The Raiders will ground and pound and use Palmer as a drop back vertical long ball threat. The Raiders have talented pass catchers Ford, Heyward Bey , Schillens, and Mcfadden and Bush are very good running tandem perhaps the best one two punch in the league. Did the Raiders over pay for a veteran QB, Perhaps , but they needed a QB now, they are in the hut for the division title and playoff run. Remember they swept the AFC West last year , and are very capable of doing it again. I see the raiders being a true contender , now that they have a legitimate NFL QB, sorry KYLE BOLLER OR TERRELE PRYOR, you guys are unproven and not NFL ready QBS .. THE raiders NEEDED A QB, and sure they over paid , but like anything in life sometimes you have to take a risk. The raiders needed something , and the Bengals demanded and got a more than fair deal. Over paid, perhaps.. But we all know getting first round picks don't always pan out, for the Raiders.. Jamarcus Russell, Robert Gallery, It's a good move for a desperate franchise that has lost it's owner , GM , and starting QB, in a span of weeks. 
 For now, the raiders will be the pound and ground team with a strong defense, and now with a veteran QB with long pass ability. I see a contending and motivated Team , make a strong run for the AFC WEST division title and perhaps a strong run the layoffs. Wow.. What a difference a year makes? 
Bottom line- Yes, they over paid , but they needed a quality QB, yes, its gonna cost them ,, but if they can get in the playoffs and do things, it will be worth the risks. The Raiders are built for cold weather and success in playoffs, they have a solid running game and a aggressive defense. They also have speed and play makers. They are confident and motivated and a scary team to think about , when the playoffs roll around. The raiders play that old school , bully style football , and proved their mettle with the thrashing of the NEW YORK JETS.. In honor of AL Davis , the Raiders erected a lit flame in the coliseum.. With that flame , the Raiders may make this year a fitting tribute to MR RAIDER , AL DAVIS.. Barring anymore injuries to their star players , I see the raiders doing very well this year, Maybe not a division title , but a wild card berth , and if they play raider like football could very well win it all, they did before as a wild card team , and they would like to do it , as the final tribute to their owner and mentor AL DAVIS.. KEEP JIM IN SCHOOL.
 Boys will be boys , and egos will be egos.. Both Jim's are loud , passionate , and larger than life figures. The Niners came into Motown and beat the Undefeated Lions.. No big drama there they are both up and coming teams , coached by passionate and young and new coaches of the NFL. 
The problem is one of the Coaches , didn't like the celebratory gyrations and the the firm hand shake , and a shove? The curse words exchanged , really? Boys, these was or is a emotional game , and when you win , in my opinion , you have the bragging rights , if you win, you can do what you want , I mean Jim Harbaugh didn't slug him or push him down., and dance all around him, and even if curse words are exchanged , so what? It's part of the bragging rights deal.
 Furthermore Jim Schwartz has been am hyperactive , in your face celebrate in his previous wins , even taunting some Dallas Cowboy players , My take , if you want to talk shit , then take it or dish it out if it comes back to you. Now , perhaps Harbaugh was too much and perhaps his hand shake and shove in the back was too harsh for the flimsy , skinny , pencil neck loud mouth, Well if you cant handle it , dont act like a buffoon also. What gets me is that he not only yelled and screamed at another Coach , but acting like he wanted more than a verbal confrontation. Jimmy boy, the other coach is bigger , tougher and a former football player . I would bet my pay check he whips your jerk off skinny ass. Now about the NFL,. NO FUN LEAGUE, NO FIGURE LEAGUE.. THE repercussions are no fine.. Really? If a player wears something not acceptable , you are fined,. excessive celebrations , you get fined , Excessive hits , you get fined,, But if your leader is a jack off in front of millions, and yells obscenities and by perception looks like he looking for a physical confrontation.. It's ok.. ! Why? No rules or regulations about that. of course not.. But don't get upset if you see more this happening among the young coaches , and players that are going to take this ,, as the League has a double standard. In my opinion , what bothers me is the double standard,, Lets get rid of all this politically correct crap , and lets play football. If coaches don't want to shake hands.. so be it ,, If players don't so be it.. To be honest , all that hand shaking is phony stuff anyways.. when you beat someone you don't care about wishing him luck, in fact your happy you beat him and he's sad. The NFL is tough league and we don't need wimps or phony's running the league.. I wish my team had a Coach with such passion.. But instead I have a boring , unemotional , politically correct Coach who has managed to take a potential SUPER BOWL CONTENDING TEAM SAN DIEGO CHARGERS and made them a  champion of the mediocre teams and a consistent loser to the contenders.. Perhaps this will be a different year, but I sure wish we had a Coach the defends his territory and team by not letting anyone disrespect him.. 
 Bottom line. These are two emotional driven and proud Coaches and good for them to show their players , their Coach cares about winning and losing, whether or not this was set up act or not , but what advertisement for the Biggest Sports ticket in town.. THE NFL is king and with all the story lines and drama this year.. THE NFL will have another big year at the gate and in the ratings,.. As for the JIM'S . KEEP JIM IN SCHOOL.. Teach players today that theirs enthusiasm for a victory and theirs outrageous reactions by coaches when things go well or not.. Lessons learned.. " IF you cant take the heat , stay out of the kitchen, if you talk shit , then be a man and dish it out.. The winner , ever since the beginning of time , has the unwritten rule.. I win,.,. I can celebrate , gloat.. dance , whatever because I just beat your ass.. The Winner gets all the splendors of victory.. the loser just goes AWAY... LIFE AS A SUPERVISOR ( BOSS)Inspired by all my shipmates ..

Life as a Supervisor..
 One of the toughest things I have ever done in my life , Navy or civilian is to be a Supervisor/ Boss. We all hate the Boss . or the ones telling us what to do. But when its your turn or opportunity , we often think ok, I got this! I mean , I know how to get along and go along with my peers. But guess what? Once you become the Boss / Supervisor.. Everyone looks at you different. They look at you as the enemy or the upper chain of command - you the man now..
 Am I right? The first time I was promoted to LPO( Supervisor/ Boss)  position , I was a tyrant , I was over bearing , because when I told people to do things , they thought friendship , relationship , etc would play into the situation. Well, I found out the hard way , people don't always have your best interest at heart. Thus , I had to become something I talked about with my peers.. I was a jerk, a overly micro managing supervisor that didn't trust anyone. It was a tough time and I know I made alot of mistakes and said alot of hurtful things , that have probably hurt my career and personal relationships.
 But probably the hardest thing about being the Boss , is that the amount of issues and problems you have to deal with, marriage issues, divorce proceedings, emotional instability , depression, abuse of alcohol, stress, it all comes into play, and not only that you as the Boss , have to be SUPERMAN, I'm never late , I'm never sad, I'm always ready! Its a tough mentality to keep especially for 20 years plus. I admire those people I have worked with that are able to maintain that focus and determination. Its a tough road. But as a Boss you have to maintain that perception and deal with all the issues of many people. It was so much easier to be the worker bee , and just following directions. But to be thrusted in Supervisory positions and having the lives of young adults looking for guidance and advice is truly overwhelming. My life as a Supervisor is a difficult one and one that requires patience , understanding and true mental strength , Your advice , or counsel is truly relevant and effective to those junior personnel. Its not a easy task , and I don't run away from that responsibility , but I must say its something that cant be take for granted. Whats frustrating , is when they come to you , and you really have little to advise, Sure you tell them see Chaplain , or Counselors and Other bosses, but these kids really want help from those that they work with. I understand that and I'm thankful alot of my junior personnel come to me , But on the other side , I don't have all the answers and often times , I see the frustration and fear in these young sailors eyes. But I do my best to comfort them and guide them and hopefully get them to resolve their issues , but we all know Life is a difficult thing to do, especially when it deals with marriage , relationship concerns.. My advice to those in need of assistance , speak with someone you trust , seek professional help , make that plan, and pursue it. Its sounds simple , but having a direct plan of action helps you get started. But ultimately, the decision you make is really up to you, Don't let others dictate what's the right ting to do. Because we are all different in our back rounds , our morale's , religious beliefs etc. My life as a supervisor has been and will always be one of the most challenging positions to hold and maintain.. It's like the old saying " leaders .. lead ... Players .. Play .. Workers ..work.. " You are what you say and do.. Until my next blog. Happy Birthday UNITED STATES NAVY , OCT 13, 1775.
  I would like to wish the Navy and all its retirees , veterans , and active duty , reservist , a Happy Birthday US NAVY , a young 236 years old.. I also want to thank everyone for their service to this great nation and for those who have paid the ultimate price for freedom with their lives, wounds or life long disabilities. I heard A Marine  once say "  No body likes to fight , but someone has to know how!"
 A quick note regarding this day.. " IN 1972 ADMIRAL ELMO R. ZUMWALT, authorized recognition as Oct 13, as the UNITED STATES NAVY Birthday. Since 1972, every CNO has encouraged a Navy wide celebration of this occasion- " To enhance a greater appreciation of our Navy heritage , and to provide a positive influence toward pride and professionalism in the Naval Service."
 With that note , I wish all Navy personnel to reflect on what the Navy is and what you can do to help encourage that sentiment. The Navy is what the people make of it and with the new direction of right sizing, the ones remaining are the hard charging personnel that can handle the new added responsibilities and goals..

 I was stationed in Misawa , Japan , and news hit that USS COLE was under attack and burning, the brave shipmates that died and who fought the fires that day are the true heroes. As a proud member of the United States Navy, we often don't think about the dangers we encounter on a daily basis. We have sacrificed out lives and time defending what we all feel is the greatest nation on the world.Today  I want to salute and pay tribute to not only those service men and women  that perished that day , but the many thousands that have died collectively in all the wars , defending our land and our freedoms of speech, rights , laws and way of life. Freedom is not free , it cost lives, time, and of course money to protect what we feel is sacred and honorable. Today , I request all people of all walks of life and countries to take a brief moment to reflect on whats important in life and remember that many of us Military folks joined and stayed in the Military because we feel a strong sense of patriotism and pride for THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Americans are often misunderstood because of our strong convictions and opinions , but by far we are the most generous and forgiving country in the world. Because of our open borders and tremendous freedoms , we are often attacked and criticized , but we are still regarded as " THE LAND OF OPPORTUNITY" My heartfelt thanks to the family and Friends that have lost loved ones defending this great nation. How come the ones closest to you , hurt you the most?
 This is a question of the ages. Here's my take, The ones closest to you knows what buttons to push , they feel comfortable because they have opened up and of course you did too. But why do they take advantage of our kindness our openness our vulnerability. Simple , because they can, it has become so easy to tell whats up that many times they become too comfortable and with that blunt , truthful statements are more hurtful. Am I right? When a stranger or a nobody you don't like , says something blunt or truthful , we fight back and defend ourselves as ,. They don't know me,, screw them jerk offs. But when a loved one or close friend says the similar things we take it to heart! We all do , including myself,, human nature , ego , other emotional issues. My advice to everyone , including myself is... Take everything as a grain of salt.. We all know we often say hurtful things when we are in the heat of the moment. We all do things out of anger or lack of patience. We are just human, we all have issues , but when it comes to friends,, lets face it , true friends are really hard to find. I mean if you can count close Friends on one hand or even two , you are truly blessed.  Its a shame some of our Friends take advantage of our kindness or sweetness. Its a shame , alot of people are not true or just plain phony. We know some Friends just use us because its convenient , while others use us because they are manipulators and love using the nice people of this world. I know many times I would like to become like them.. But you know what? That's what those jerks want , so I refuse to be like them. I will be my laid back  person that respects people and treat people as equals.. I mean I wont be a push over , but I wont be a jerk off because alot of people treat me that way.
 My destiny is happiness , togetherness peacefulness , and I know the true friends , classmates, shipmates , co workers,, will appreciate what i have to give and share. I love to write and I hope and pray that my fb friends around the world enjoy my efforts , but it doesn't matter if you do, I'm enjoy sharing my thoughts ideas,opinions and experiences so that you can laugh, take notice , be entertained or simply be informed about things you have no time researching. I like to think I'm your quick info center , the one that breaks it down in simple terms so you can use it or not.. I hope my friends that are considering changes in your personality , are you sure? Because , changing because other jerk offs make you angry is not the way. Everyone changes , but change because its better suits you than a reaction to people who are rude , crude and lewd. The ones we love seem to hurt us the most , but as a true friend or lover , we take it and work with it, human emotions is a hard thing to understand. Because it happens so quick and unexpected , put upon further review, just chill out , soak you feet, read a book, listen to some Hawaiian music,, and think about good times and true friends,, That will calm you down,, and forget about those fools that treat you so unfair,, They don't know how precious you are until you leave them..  My picks for games of the week went to all the teams in the AFC WEST. CHARGERS VS. BRONCOS , a nail biter with Tim Tebow's appearance and now starter of the Broncos.. The Other game of the week was Oakland Raiders come back emotional win tribute to Mr. Raider Al Davis, The Raiders played inspired football and held off the now contending Texans. Great win for a team that has all the talent and like or or not , they are for real and ready for war.. The Chiefs come from behind win against the win less colts. The AFC west is now getting much needed respect and I love it. The more competitive thid division is , the more respect and the better play off ready AFC teams will be because of the higher level of play.. Hoo ray for the WILD WEST , that is the AFC WEST! 
 The niners had the blow out of the week, I picked them to win, but not a dominating ass kicking.. Great respects to new head coach Jim Harbaugh, he has Alex Smith and the rest of his players playing their best and believe it or not the Niners are for real and I expect them to win the NFC WEST,,, \
 The upset of the week, the Pete Carrol's sea hawks upsetting the tough and hard hitting Giants at New York, The Seahawks are a young team and don't have the talent to keep winning , but they will play hard and should be fun to watch this year. Great win for another young Coach.. 
The Biggest story is Tim Tebow,, he many not have all the skill sets or throws slow and weird, but he is a winner and a leader.. The Broncos are going to be fun to watch. maybe not alot of wins.. but fun to watch.. its TEBOW TIME!!

49ERS VS. LIONS- My upset special, I like how niners play defense and they are a more balanced team, this will be tough , but The Lions don't run as well as the niners and Staford is not s accurate as he should be.. \
CARDINALS VS. PACKERS - The Packers are the best team in the NFL , and the cardinals are not , I expect a big blow out at home.. Aaron Rodgers is truly the best QB in the league..
PANTHERS VS. FALCONS - The Falcons are a better team and they need a win at home. Newton will have a good day , but the Ground and pound running game will slow down the Panthers and The Falcons will rediscover their identity.
COLTS VS. BENGALS - The Colts are playing better , but on the road against a hard hitting running team , will keep the ball out of Colts offense and Bengals are going to run and pound the unreal win less Colts.. 
BILLS VS. GIANTS - The Bills are playing well, but the Giants are angry and will give the Bills a beat down and bring the Bills back to earth.
JAGUARS VS. STEELERS- The Steelers have found their identity and they are going to have a solid game against the jaguars..
EAGLES VS. REDSKINS- The dream team is done, they cant tackle or cover people on defense and Vick continues his run for the most picks thrown by a QB,. The redskins are playing well and I see a rough and tumble game won by the real contender and a team that has become the great pretender of the year.. 
TEXANS VS. RAVENS - The Ravens are elite team and the Texans are aspiring to be, But without Mario Williams and Andre Johnson.. The Texans need Arian Foster need to step up , but the ravens are too good , especially at home. I see a dominating win for the Contender playing Ravens.Joe Flacco has a big day.
BROWNS VS. RAIDERS - Two running teams with good defense , but I'm giving the home field advantage and emotional strength for the motivated and inspired raiders, This will not be a easy game , but I see the raiders winning a a close game with alot of penalties and hard hits.. Mcfadden has a big day.. 
COWBOYS VS. PATRIOTS - A high scoring game , but Brady and welker will be too much and Romo will make enough mistakes to take away any chance the boys have to win this game.. I see the Patroits winning this game easy.. 
SAINTS VS. BUCCANEERS- Drew Brees is amazing and has tremendous weapons all over his team. The Bucs were embarrassed , and they will play better , but the saints are too far advanced on offense for the BUCS to keep pace.. 
SUNDAY NIGHT GAME - VIKINGS VS. BEARS - A tough game , but Cutler showed a exciting side , I see him making enough plays and Matt Forte will have a big day. The Bears defense plays better and will hold peterson under 100 yds.. 
MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL- DOLPHINS VS. JETS - The Dolphins are in trouble , lost their quarterback and have no identity, The Jets are really upset and destroy the FINS and regain their Mojo , as they prepare to meet the San Diego Chargers and a reunion of sorts. LT will see his replacement in Ryan Mathews and see what LT used to do. The Jets will score , but wont be able to keep pace with the Chargers..

CHARGERS VS. BRONCOS WEEK 5 - 29-24 WIN FOR BOLTS..

 Chargers vs. Broncos WEEK 5 , 2011. TIM TEBOW MAKES STRONG COMEBACK..
   The Chargers were playing fast and take away turn overs we win that game easy. But a win is a win, 4-1 record a bye week , what else can you ask for? I know they are against losing teams at this point of the season, but last year we were losing such games.. Maybe our offense was better , but I feel our offense is better this year and our defense is playing aggressive football. The fights and scuffles show how physical the Bolts are. When you knock people around and they feel dominated , they get frustrated and angry. Sure Tebow make some quick plays and scores , but keep in mind , its mile high ,, and the air is different,less oxygen, right people? That's why they have such a winning percentage there, right now their team is not that good,.but when division rivals play one another it's always a slug fest. I love the passion and emotion of that game..
 Telling stats , this is the best start by Norv Turner in his 5 years as head coach. 4--1 is pretty good, I know the Bolts haven't had that blow out win, but I like the physical side of this team. The run game is doing really well and I like how Norv is establishing that mental mind set , that is gonna come into play in the playoffs in cold weather .. like Baltimore , Pittsburgh or New England. Those places are going to be cold , rainy or even snowy in the playoffs. The Bolts need to keep that aspect going. The news gates will play against the Jets will make this offense much more impressive. I wish they develop Sperry the other TE for the team , but overall , the use of personnel is good. Todman is hurt , that's why we haven't seen him , but he's the New sproles when he's healthy,. and Walters will some around once he learns all the ins and outs.
 Bottom line this team is 4-1 , the defense has protected leads and comebacks from teams, we are playing good in all phases of the game. Nick Novak has been a big sup rise at place kicker,, and I hate to say it , but if he can keep that going in the playoffs , and Super bowl,..then Kaeding may have to be re-evaluated. The defense has played better than the offense so far this season. The other surprise is the interception issues with Rivers, My hunch is he's been forcing passes when he doesn't need to. If anything , he becoming a smarter manager of the offense , especially calling run plays at the right times.. Those are subtle things I have observed , but it's the little things I've very impressed with. Sure , we are not blowing teams away , but I feel the Mad scientist Norv is saving the best for the last.. Saving it for the big games.. To be honest I rather see the big plays in the payoffs than in regular season games. Have faith charger fans.. Remember last year we were 2-3 , last year and missed the playoffs by one game.. This year we can have A great record , and home field advantage and finally celebrate a great ending.. Be patient , The team will get better and will do better , and when the playoffs roll around , that is when I want to see the Bolts playing at their best. Enjoy this win and be happy that the team was able to secure the win on the road against a desperate team.. At times playing a team that is desperate and has nothing to lose , end up being tough games.. Lets face it fans. Chargers are always getting other teams best. We are no longer looked at as a surprise team ,.The Chargers are a Elite team with many play makers and a Quarterback with incredible desire and spirit and a under rated , no name defense playing alot better than any of us ever thought. Well , whatever the case , As a federal employee I enjoy the day off, because any day away from work is a great day and anytime you can stay home and do things like video games , exercising , sleeping is always a life enhancing event. THE SOURCE :CHARGERS VS. BRONCOS 2011 WEEK 5 PREDICTION .
 The 3-1 AFC WEST Division leading Chargers face the cellar dwellars Denver Broncos, the Broncos have the worst pass defense and one of the biggest controversies at QB. Orton is good but not great Tebow has unknown ability ,  but is likable and has leadership skills. If the Broncos keep losing , I see Tebow getting his chance. Well this week is another loss for the Broncos, their defense will have troubles with the charger pass catchers , Vince Brown is a elusive and sure handed secret for the Bolts. Jackson and Floyd will have big days and Mathews and Tolbert will run over the over matched Broncos. Von Miller their stud line backer is really good , but he's only one man. I see Rivers and company scoring often and bring home a lop sided and high scoring win. The Bolts will get attention before going into a much needed Bye week rest,, Before going on the road again to face the beleaguered Jets and the KC Chiefs.. two winnable games on the road.. Then comes the meat of the schedule home games against the Packers , and RAIDERS (Thursday night game) But Lets not look ahead. The Chargers know what to do and will showcase their identity in this game , pass to take a quick Early lead and then run late to protect and run out the clock and give much needed rest to thier defense. Because of that formula , the defense will cause turnovers and give Rivers added opportunities to score in which they will do. The Chargers will play their most complete game , before heading to New York and a reunion of sorts with LT and the Schottenheimers- Marty son calling offensive plays.. enjoy this Sundays game. We are going to see the coming out party of Mathews and Rivers will be pin point as he tears up one of the worst pass defenses in the league.. Sure Denver needs a win, but don't have the fire power to keep up with the Bolts..  TITANS (3-1) VS, STEELERS (2-2) Big ben is hurting, defense has suddenly got old and Running game is non existent. The Titans are the surprise team and playing Steeler like football. Chris Johnson is ready to explode and for the Steel curtain that spells trouble.. Titans upset the Steelers.. 
SEAHAWKS (1-3) VS. GIANTS (3-1) The Giants are a solid team , one of the elites of the NFC, Eli is playing well and the Giants defense is tough. The Seahawks are too young and not talented enough to go on the road and beat the Giants , Giants wins this one easy..
BENGALS (2-2) VS. JAGUARS(1-3) Bengals are coming off big win, but I see the Jags keeping this a low scoring defensive game at home. A low scoring close game won by the Jaguars..
SAINTS (3-1) VS. PANTHERS ( 1-3) This could possibly be the highest scoring game of the week. Drew Brees is in fire and the Panthers have a fighting chance to win games this year with Cam Newton. But The saints have too many weapons and a little bit better defense , and win this high scoring affair.. 
RAIDERS(2-2) VS. TEXANS (3-1) The Raiders have great talent , but poor leadership, They continue to make dumb decisions and commit too many penalties.. Why , NO real leaders and a no true formula for success. The Texans will win this low scoring , hard hitting game and continue their quest for 1st playoff appearance and Division Champion.. 
EAGLES (1-3) VS. BILLS( 3-1) The EAGLES were labeled the Dream Team,, well its still early but they have issues on both offensive and defensive lines.. Mike Vick is getting pummeled and the defense fails to show up late in all their games. The Bills may not have the talent on paper , but they are playing more like a team.. The Bills hold off the over rated and over paid play fakers than play makers. 
CHIEFS ( 1-3) VS. COLTS(0-4) The Chiefs are coming off win, but I still feel they are lacking true identity, The Colts with Painter , look like the Colts, At home , under pressure , and great pride , The Colts , fight crawl , scratch their way to their first win of the season. 
CARDINALS (1-3) VIKINGS( 0-4) The Vikings have had leads in all their losses this season, they need to use Peterson more and play better defense at the end of games. The Vikings will hold off the explosive Cardinals , and Mcnabb will start showing better decision making and managing the game.
BUCCANEERS(3-1) VS. 49ERS (3-1) A BATTLE of two division leaders and both have good running games. Alex Smith is playing better because they have him managing the game.. The Bucs have a aggressive defense a stud quarterback. These teams are so similar , but I like the niners at home and the coming out of Alex Smith. The niners win this close game.. 
JETS (2-2) VS. PATRIOTS (3-1) The Patriots are playing wide open football and so far have shown they can score on anyone. They might not score alot , but more than the Jets who are struggling passing and running the ball. Mark Sanchez is not Tom Brady and he needs help.. It doesn't happen this week, and Panic starts to fester among the Players, if not already. 
CHARGERS (3-1) VS. BRONCOS (1-3) Division rivals , The Chargers are hurting , but they have too much fire power and a Elite QB in Rivers, Mathews is on the verge on being a consistent play maker Liker LT. I see a coming out party for the Mathews and Rivers rips a part that suspect broncos defense that ranks near the bottom of the league. The chargers win this one in laugher.. 
PACKERS (4-0) VS. FALCONS(2-2)SUNDAY NIGHT GAME  This is possible the Game of the week, two very good teams with great passing and running attacks , both defenses are hard hitting , but The Packers are playing better than last year.. The falcons will make this exciting , but lose late in the game because of too much Aaron Rodgers and company.. 
BEARS (2-2) VS. LIONS (4-0) MONDAY NIGHT GAME. The Lions have brought the roar back in Detriot , the surprise team of the year, they have a stud quarterback Stafford and Johnson is a unreal pass catcher. The Bears still have issues on the line and their failure to sign stud running back Matt Forte to long term contract , is distracting. The Bears need this win and will make it a fight , but too much fire power and a stronger defense by the upstart lions will them undefeated..
These are my picks and why? 
Games of the week -Packers vs. Falcons , Jets vs. Patriots , Bears vs. Lions
I see the unbeaten teams stay that way and the winless teams finally win a game this week and a changing of the guard , Steelers and Bears , Eagles being exposed as talented but not a total team. 
The Rising of the Titans , Bills , Lions , Buccaneers and 49ers.. and new participant's in the playoffs.
The others playoff teams that fail this year are Bears, Steelers, Colts, Falcons and yes the Jets ,, because of offensive( INABILITY TO PROTECT QUARTERBACK) and defensive issues( INABILITY TO STOP THE RUN OR SACK THE QUARTERBACK)  and quarterbacks not playing as well as they did last year.

  Recently , Head Coach of the Oakland Raiders Hue Jackson , predicted The Raiders are going to win the AFC WEST.. !! 
 Now , Norv Turner was asked about those comments and Norv gave his usual boring , non committal , politically correct answer! No passion , no confidence for his team.
 Now , enter me.. if asked about Hue Jackson's comment..
  Hello , media , It's 2011 , when was the last time the raiders won the division? Yes, 2002, the year Of Jon Grudens "chucky's revenge" Tampa bay Bucs embarrass the Mighty Raiders at the Q in San Diego.. Sice then the raiders have been the laughing stock and the cellar dwellars of the AFC WEST.. Sure the Faiders opps Raiders swept the division last year , but this is now and that's was then.. The only thing they are sweeping this year are the tears of disappointment at the end of the season , because of Bone headed decisions by Al Davis and his puppet Hue Jackson.. Let go of you Superstar Asoumougha , and gallery on the offensive line. Sign a average qb in Jason " bad decision's Campbell , that pick he threw last week against the Patriots in the end zone was idiotic.. He's not the answer , if anything he's the problem. 
 Ok, I know the Raiders have won three Superbowl's and have many hall of famers,, but we all know in the NFL.. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE FOR ME LATELY? I mean you sweep the division and still don't make the playoffs? That my friends is not only history making , but almost impossible to imagine, But the Choke land , Joke land ,opps Oak land Faiders , ,,ah Raiders the Silver and whacked , not only did that , but have the audacity to guarantee a division title.. First off, you need a good qb , you barely have one now.. You need a great defense, they the raiders are so bad they cant even stop themselves.,
from making dumb mistakes, They continually lead the league in penalties,, and guess what ? Those mental mistakes put them in losing positions, They lack leadership and direction and already on the down side. Now Hue " are you ? Jackson.. Your claim to fame is that you swept the Afc west last year, and still managed not to get in the playoffs.. ? My take before making predictions , lets try to win some games.. Blowing late tds,, after leading against the Bills was pathetic and predictable.. The patriots not only schooled you but made the old undisciplined , penalty champions return. If past behaviour predicts future behaviour , than the raiders are do for another heartbreaking teasing season for the fans of the Silver and Black.. The Commitment to Excellence is a joke. right now.. I see it more to a commitment to losing , Just lose baby...
 lastly , Mr hue are you ? Jackson.. next time you even dream about beating the Chargers you better wake up and apologize.. In fact , the next time we play you team is gonna be hit so hard and score on so often , your gonna feel like your surrounded. You have contenders like My chargers , than you have pretenders like your faiders, You have play makers like MY bolts , than you have the Play fakers like your Jokeland..faiders.. Sure you have history and those trophy's in your out dated dusty coliseum in Chokeland.. but that was back in the day.. Today is now and now it's time for the Frightening Lightening to explode this year.. As for you Croak land Faiders.. Get ready for some beat downs,, starting Sunday , and when you star fakers decide the season is done.. back to the raider way... Just lose ,, and get the No# 1 Pick.. yea ,, that was helpful,, Jamarcus Russell, Heyward bay-- so bad he cant even catch a cold.. and Robert Gallery - I look the part but cant play the game.. LIFE AT SEA.. 
  My life at sea, well imagine a cold ship , with alot of people and the same old food cycled throughout the months , the years. Advice . The best meal is breakfast ..Why. Made to order ,, no other time during your navy career will you have the choice of having you way.. So take advantage.. Also, drink milk early in the day , because they ,, leave that out the whole day,, so figure it out , bacteria, etc.. builds up.. If you like salads , that's cool, but after watching these fat sweaty dirt bags dripping and touching the salad with their hands.. yea, think another about another food choice.. Well the Pinoys.. the Filipino's have their illegal rice cookers and what they do with spam and eggs or corn beef ,, is amazing.. I've had master Chief's eat with us.. No names to protect their reputation's please , but they know who they are.. 
 More advice, don't leave anything in the shower stalls,, because it will be gone faster than you can go back and get it, i know I 've done it and went back only to find nothing.. great ship mates huh? more like ship wrecks.. Oh,, Your rack,, don't even try to hide things underneath your rack,, yup,, nothing is sacred ,, these dirt bags will even steal your freaking underwear,, skids mark and all,, lol.. 
 Another thing , dirt bags are a plenty.. and useless no common sense folks seem to thrive at sea,, They ask dun questions and do dumb things.. They demand things and wonder why we SUPPLY GUYS GET PISSED.. First off, SUPPLY DOESN'T DELIVER PARTS ! , NEXT YOU CANT FLY WITHOUT SUPPLY.. AND last. We work harder than most people think.. !! 
 Lastly, bring supplies , extra toilet paper  , snacks,clothing like underwear t shirts , socks, medicines especially cold remedies,, because ship med will only give you the bare necessities..Now if your going on a deployment-- that's a long time away from family friends and life.. You need to bring your lap top, camera's i pods, cd, dvd's whatever to entertain yourself on those long days and nights in the middle of now where, As much training and drills , and working parties, you have alot of time to get depressed , restless , angry , upset , etc. deployment and the the navy life will either make you or break you. For me, I've become more jerkish, more anal , even angry when dealing with shipmates, especially the new school or the young bloods, because you guys are clueless. The old timers , we are less patient and even down right mean to the new schools, because you guys have no idea what real navy life is.. Imagine the days I had to go through , no Internet, no ipods , or cd's , dvds. lap tops.. back in the day we had the ships site tv,,, or maybe a vcr recorder in the berthing and of course certain fellas , like myself that would entertain my ship pies with stories and jokes and of course pop lockin,  which is a African American street dancing i picked up during my days growing up in south San Diego.. The hood..
 Life at sea is not for everyone, it's lonely , boring , frustrating , repetitive , and down right hard times. I mean , just imagine you have to sleep eat and work along side people who stink , who curse alot and have no respect for your belongings or your self. I mean , their are some good  shipmates, but on a big boy like the one Im currently on.. It's a rat race, a working hell and a place of borken dreams and misguided youths, I do my share to strengthen  my shipmates, but I see too many dirt bags and losers here .. But I go on.. because we have too, and for you guys about to go to sea life.. Good luck and be prepared for things that you never imagined possible , like people throwing up , people not paying attention to their watch standing duties, long hours , alot of work , no common sense, no respect for one another and most of all a general feeling of why am I here? It's a good life if you can handle the stress , because this is the most stressful thing you will ever do in your life.. Be a sailor on a sea going ship on deployment. Its a dream for those that can take it.. And a scream for those who cant'.. Those are the ones on restriction , liberty risk , working parties, shits lists.. and ultimately kicked out.. Its sounds like a scary place .. ?? But it's real maybe too real for you shore duty folks.. In all my years in the Navy.. Sea duty is the ultimate test of your will and mental strength.. Be strong and be ready because the life you are about to encounter will decide your decision to stay or go away

 It's amazing how different people can be ? explain myself, ok,.On face book so many people can be clever behind a screen monitor , with the knowledge your posting are pretty much safe. I mean whats the worse someone is going to do to you.. un Friend you , answer back a angry post , call u gay!! I mean , people the know me , are not surprised with my candid , and often times not politically correct comments. I know many times I don't filter what i say or do , but It's just me.. But what trips me out is when the face Booker's make such witty remarks on the Internet.... But when in person you don't hear anything like that. Me.. if you think I'm funny or outrageous on face book, well peeps in person I'm over the top , attention seeking one of a kind personality. I often get into arguments or predicaments because of my words and actions. I'm not afraid , even though i should be I'm this day and age and where I work. I mean , its so easy for a group of people to gang up on one person and throw them off the ship , if they really wanted to.. Not saying things like that happen, but it can.. Today's society is so fragile , i mean you hear about drive by shootings , stabbings , home invasion killings , rapes in parks , car jacking. Its a trouble time we live in, to be honest I feel sometimes we put too much info on the net. We make too easy for predators o find us and rob us , for example , we all post where we are and what we are doing , while the predator if clever , can figure out where u live and rob you while your out. I mean , its a scary thought. Remember not everyone on the net has your best interest. Ok , enough of that. Back to how I get ripped out when people are so different in person than on face book.. My theory, if your so outrageous on face book and in person your the opposite , I'm thinking the person on the face book , is a phony!! I mean , if you cant say clever things in person what's the use doing on the face book. I mean, How much fun is that to only hear clever things on the little screen , while the up in face person is quiet and boring. Yes, boring, I like the people like myself that walk the walk and talk the talk.. In fact , My love ones wish I wasn't so blunt or truthful.. But hey its what I am.. If it gets me killed or what so be it. I am what I am and I Popeye the sailor man.. as the songs goes.. 
 Lastly , for those of us that display the loud and proud personality and can be witty and funny in person as well on the face book world, I salute you.. For the wanna Be's I'm somewhat flustered and confused by the difference in personality. But I'm not saying it's wrong , its just I really trip out on how different people can be in person.. And for those who get offended by my observations.. So what? Go ahead make my day and un friend me..   HATERS- according to my dear friend Josh Inzer.= Having  Anger Towards Everyone Reaching Success! For crying out loud! People,.. It's only a game , and a game played by millionaires who care diddly squat about season ticket holders , or whether you have all the Jersey ever made or what.. But to be brutally honest! The reason the Chargers fans hate the raiders so much because ... ready,.. Because they have something 3 times over the Bolts have been dreaming , fantasizing , about their whole lifetime. drum roll.. please... yes.. a championship .. a SUPER BOWL.. Not a 1963 AFL with a handful of teams , with truck drivers as players , I'm talking the real league THE NFL,, = NOTHING FOR LOSERS!! THE NO FUN LEAGUE!.. Raiders may not be good , or may never be good , but guess what? They have 3 rings.. that can never be taken away , erased or what.. That ends any silly argument True Charger fans can come up with.. Oh well We beat you guy 13 times .. ah oh that streaks done.. Oh,. we won the division ,, ah.. that done too.. Oh we swept the division.. oh wait you guys did that.. You see, theirs no argument anymore.. Now it a new year and a new cheer.. I'm not saying Hue Jackson is right proclaiming the raiders as division champs,. But its not over fans,.,. We still have 12 games to go and the Chargers haven't played really well and haven't faced the up and coming Raiders.. Those wins in the past it over,.,. Its a dog fight folks..
 I've been to many Raider v.s Chargers games in SD and in Oakland.. and the reason fights break out is when the raiders flaunt the 3  rings. !! The Bolts have nothing to fight that, Who cares how many division titles you win, or whether you Sept the Raiders during LT's rein of terror. Bottom and painful line. How many rings you got? No answer, except I'm gonna kick your ass.. Really ? People, grow up or better yet shut up. I know this may piss off alot of Charger fans.. but its the truth, Many fans talk so much smack , and the moment they lose , they reverse or about face and say horrible things about their team , players,, but if their winning ,, It's Lord Norv,, San Diego Super Chargers.. Come on man.. Lets face reality .. The Chargers have had many opportunities in just the last 6 years dating back 2006 - the greatest year ever 14-2 , LT MVP of the year,, and home field advantage.. Everything right there, just win at home.. no rain , snow issues.. But guess what? We lose the game , we lose our cool, the pats dance and celebrate on the helmet , LT and Rivers get into shouting matches,, but guess what? We lost, my take when ever I played sports, you win, you can dance , talk smack , do whatever,, Why because I won.. you lost,., go cry some where else.. That my fans was the most pathetic time in Charger History.. and guess what? We haven't never recovered or will ever live that down, until we win that SUPER BOWL.. But alot of Charger fans , like to make excuses , or say its the coaches fault, guess what That was Marty coaching.. Norv actually took this team to the AFC Championship in 07, only to see LT , sit and pout on the sideline.. Yes,, I'm a big LT fan but that was a image that will haunt LT and the chargers forever.. Why the hate, its simple,..people hate when they are envious or when they don't have something someone else has.. The Raiders have the bad ass looking uniforms,, and a history of 3 rings.. and a loyal following around the World.. The Chargers have powder blue jerseys and a history of choking in the big games.. I know it hurts , but until if ever , the Chargers win that big game.. The hatred will stay or grow , because the Charger fans , many of us have been waiting for years.. True Charger fans know the history of the team and still love them.. Fair weather fans , are the ones that talk alot of smack when they win, and jump off after a loss.. Its no wonder ,, other fans hate the Chargers and their fans.. Its one thing to be proud of winning championships, its another to be proud of winning division titles... They play to win the big game.. anything else, most tds by a running back in NFL history is cool, But its team game and the only way to shut people up is win the big game..   Charger Fans , your team is 3-1 , the best start under Norv Turner's reign. Last year the team was 2-2 playing similar teams. The bolts are not blowing teams away, but I must admit I love the style of play.. It's smash mouth , aka 2006 THE LT years,, If Mathew's keeps up the pace , he's on his way to surpassing LT'S total yards, maybe not the TD totals,, But I feel if they use him like they did LT that year , he could possibly make a run for that total.. The Bolts are having issues in the Red Zone.. Use Mathews,, theres a reason the bolts moved up to Get Mathews.. Mathews has power and speed , ala Adrian Peterson , but I feel he's a better pass catcher and he's mentally tougher than you think. I like what he's doing and if he can stay healthy , he will surpass LT's PLAYOFF STATS.. AS good as LT was in the regular games.. IT was Sproles that had the big games in the playoffs. Just a thought alot of the fans need to think about. 
 The Chargers are doing better stopping the run and they are alot more physical at the line of scrimmage. Ive seen more hard hits and sacks than the past few years. I see a new attitude , and a different formula for winning. The Bolts are passing to take a lead and running late to protect and add to a lead. When you run, you control the clock and you wear down opposing defense mentally and physically. The Bolts need to correct their red zones issues , and my answer is Run Ryan Mathews more , like a LT style.. and see what happens.. LT , during his record breaking year , scored a majority of his TD 's n the Red zone.. I feel  Mathews can do the same.. Because he's younger stronger and yes faster than LT. Charger fans stop the whining and complaining about the team is not exciting.. Hello?, we have seen this team provide ESPN highlights in the past and we lose in the playoffs. I like this physical smash mouth football.. The weather is changing and we all know the passing game under windy , cold , rainy , snowy conditions.. You need a strong running game.. The Mathews , Tolbert and whenever they feel comfortable , Get the rookie Todman in the mix.. I like what Norv is doing , this team needs to playing its best football in Jan and Feb. Not Oct or Nov. or even Dec.. This team needs to peak in the playoffs. The Super bowl Winner Packers last year , they were wild card team that got hot and healthy at the right time.. Fans of the lightening Bolt. Chill out , enjoy the wins and the weekly improvement , because I see a deep playoff run , Rivers is a awesome QB, and our running game is beginning to come around. The identity of this team is to pass to take the lead and run late to protect lead , and wear down defense late in the game. I like this formula, over the high flying scoring 40 + and still lose.. Exciting football , but not championship football. Lets save those highlights for the playoffs and the Superbowl against the high scoring offenses of the NFC.. THE PACKERS AND SAINTS have the best offenses.. The Lions and the Buccaneer's have the best defenses and offenses that are coming around.. The Chargers are one of the elite teams of the AFC,, THE PATRIOTS , RAVENS,, are the other high scoring offenses.. Bolts fans.. just enjoy this new style of play and lets hope healthy and confident chargers with Home field advantage will be the recipe for success. But those complaining , unsatisfied party pooping fans need to step up and cheer , or shut up and root for another team?? The frightening Lightening is ready to roll and the NFL is gonna see some great shows by the Power Company. Chargers fans chill out , relax and enjoy these wins and watch as this team gets better and healthier. If gates is healthy and our Running Stars Mathews and Tolbert , Todman are healthy in the playoffs , than we have a Formula and recipe for success. I love what I see and the potential is there, so BOLT UP and shut up, you doubters, because the Bolts are ready to roll. I see and feel a new age for the Bolts and it starts this year , with the new attitude and leadership in the defense.. The Mixture of young and old on all three teams is fantastic.. The Offense , defense and special teams are looking focused and the team is winning the old fashion way , pound and ground.. But when our passing games works out all the kinks , especially the red zone issues ,,Look out , we have a team that can do some damage. Chargers fans , you have to believe to achieve!! Lets spread that good vibe this year and root for your team.. Beginning this Sunday in Denver.. No blackout!! I see a blow out by the Bolts , and a statement game against the NY trash talking Jets , and their Fat sexy rexy Ryan , and our favorite blast form the past Runner LT, it's Gonna be a changing of the guard and a passing of two stars . The future Hall of Famer LT, watching the New stud in the League Ryan Mathews.. Its gonna be a fun year , so get ready for the ride,, The formula for success in there , now its up to players to play to their potential and create some noise in the Playoffs..  The " M" word. It's the most misunderstood, taken for granted and precious thing you can ever say or do in life. I always advise family and friends that Marriage is no joke. Marriage is more than I do,, its more like I will!! I will be faithful , I will be your lover , your friend. I will stay with you for better or for worse. I mean its a heavy deal. Folks , paying for a house or car , or vacation, or being in the military or what is still no comparison to the Marriage deal.
 Marriage is a union , a binding of thoughts , ideas, ideals, dreams. fears, it's that bond you develop when you found someone that clicks with you. You know the deal. when they finish sentences before you do, or when you say the same things at the same time. Or better yet you think the same thing at the same time. It's one of the key signs that their is a connection. For me, Marriage was always a fearful thing, I mean I love women , and I love to party , and for me to settle down was a shock to family and friends, but I knew even before I met my future wife , she was the one. I know it sounds corny or even hollywoodish, but I just knew, When it is said and done I realized my hunches were correct. But don't get me wrong Marriage is hard work.
 For example Like a garden, you need to tend to the weeds or make sure the fertilizers and watering is being done, in other words you don't neglect things. Marriage is a daily tasking.. If you argue , settle it fast , this silent treatment or yelling treatment doesn't work, it just creates resentment , anger. People are fragile , we get hurt so easily or offended. We let our egos interfere with what made us fall for one another. Don't let this happen, be the better man or woman.. We all know human emotions when lit are the most volatile feelings on this earth,. its called the heat of passion, whether it's arguing or feeling a closeness to someone who is listening , when people fight , and do the silent treatment or take off , that's when vulnerability , temptation takes over. My advice , to resist temptation you avoid the situation. That's pure and simple.. Guys , when drunk , are suckers , and women who do the same can do the same.. equality? No, more like equal opportunity destroyers.
 My greatest advice about marriage is do the simple things , take care of the little things, like making sure you make your bed, you lowering the lid after using it, Keep the toothpaste covered or wiping feet , or leaving shoes and stuff around. Those things if left unchecked can lead to resentment , anger and even arguments. remember we all have our cycles.. even men,, We need to know when they are occurring and adjust. If anything Marriage is constant adjustments , compromises and patience with out it , your doomed to failure..
In other words marriage is I will adjust , I will submit , I will deal with , I will overcome , I will be strong. I will be there! I will work things out. Marriage is and always be the hardest thing to do in life. Now throw kids in there and heaven forbid if the kids have health issues, marriage can be burden , a head ache , a heart breaker.. a Life changing event. My advice don't do it! Until you do what you need to do , like finish your college , or training , save alot of money , get that career , job deal going and most of all , find that special someone that can deal with you. The Marriage license is like no other license , it last forever and getting out of it can be costly , painful and life changing. Marriage is more than I do! its I will.... Until the next story.. What the Navy has done for me ? Inspired from my shipmates. USS PELELIU ,,
 What the Navy has done for me? Honestly it saved me from myself. Before I joined the Navy I was doing what every Young person was doing going to college, working part time, studying partying playing around. The problem was I spent too much time chasing skirts than studying. I mean I managed to get my degree , but I was so into partying and having a good time, My personality was very in mature. I applied for so many law enforcement jobs, it was ridiculous.. Finally i decided to enlist in the Navy. But get this I finally received a job offer from the US Marshall's , two weeks into boot camp.. Wow.. But I'm committed and I did my time. I saw many ports around the world and seen many sights and scenes.. The women around the world are beautiful and fun! I had a blast because I'm always the center of attention , whether I want it or not. Its just my karma , my center,, but after time I accepted my role and just went with it. It was expected of me at every port visit and I never disappointed my shipmates or liberty buddies.
 But the Navy gave me direction , it gave me purpose and soon after I got married and began raising kids , it was a shck at first , but through time I guided my kids into what they are. They were able to see Japan, Italy , Philippines and experience alot of things kids their age never can imagine or dream about. I did the coaching thing , the proud parents at school events , the football games , the guitar performances. I'm so lucky to have energetic and talented kids. I thank the navy for giving me the support to do all those things. 
 In addition the Navy has given me security , I have a beautiful home , with paid off cars and money in the bank and benefits for myself and kids, I mean I get to go to school when I retire and i don't pay a thing, in fact I will be able to save money. I also will receive a retirement pay and disability pension. What else can I ask for after a brief 20 year stint. Yes, believe it or not 20 years go by so very fast. Sure i made mistakes and I said many things I should not have said, but hey don't we all? We live and learn, it what we call life. But the navy has given me advice , training when I messed up and also has rewarded me with recognition , training skills , and of course money and financial security. The Navy is not for everyone is takes alot of commitment and sacrifice to be away fro months at sea , and do dangerous jobs in dangerous lands. But now that its finally winding down, I had a blast, DESPITE all the heart aches , the long watches , the constant training and retraining and at times boredom and depression. I usually don't have long episodes , but it comes and goes, I always try to be positive like my blood type B POSITIVE...HEHEHE, I look a life and situations as just passing ships at night , everything comes and goes, nothing .last forever , whether its happiness or sadness, its just a rite of passage in life, Its the cycle of life , it took a while to understand that , but I feel and believe that very much. You need to look forward and enjoy each day , life is so unpredictable.. I enjoy each day as its my last , because God only knows if it is.. We should dwell on the past or day dream about the future , the best times of your life is now.. !! Yes, indeed the navy has given me a sense of direction and soon a retirement income and opportunities for higher learning and a new career with the knowledge and experience I received while standing watch over the United States of America.. DOLPHINS VS. CHARGERS..WEEK 4 PICK.. THE SOURCE SAYS..
 The Dolphins are 0-3 , and they have been in fast paced games and lost and low scoring games and lost , which team is for reals.. The chargers have won 2 games , one leading all the way and the other , coming from behind ,, their lone loss a high scoring game where if they had better ball control could of won that affair.
 Now which team will show up? The Fins have a pretty good passing attack and their run game can do some damage , Reggie Bush is being used more and he's showing skills we haven't seen in him for awhile.. The fins defense is bad , and I see the chargers m despite no Gates and some hurt offensive players , I see a alot of points put up perhaps 40 + , Mathews and Tolbert are going to have big days and when the fins try to stop the run, Rivers will find Jackson and Mcmichael making big gains..
 The Chargers are on the brink on getting that offense going , a win and thoughts of another slow start will vanish.. The last few years we The Bolts found ways to lose game like the Vikings and Chiefs, This year , they gutted their way to wins.. Every win is important especially early in the season. The Bolts have a tough schedule and getting these early season wins is important!
 My concerns.. Rivers has thrown too many picks, the defense is giving up to many long drives for tds.. The special teams still giving up to many yards on returns.. Plus our new kicker is untested under playoff or big game scenarios,, I know alot of us hated kaedings failures in the playoffs, but during the regular season he was money. Lets hope Novak doesn't have to kick a game winning field goal in too many games this year.
 The gates issue, Its kind of troubling all the rest he had off season, no off season workouts and a brief pre season , that he has issues.. I like gates , but its beginning to look like the end of the road.? I hope not , but remember he's a converted basketball player football player. Let's hope time heals the wounds , and if possible save him for the playoffs,. mcmichael is not gates , but i think he's a better run blocker , and a smart player, he has good hands and pretty good speed, he doesn't have gates leaping ability , but he;s reliable and he may the secret weapon this week, while the dolphins are concerned with Jackson , Floyd , Mathews , Tolbert , Crayton.. and Walter's,,, Walters needs to step up his game.. especially on special teams. He needs to break some returns and get this team moving. I'm glad they selected him , but as of now hasn't shown that break away ability yet..
 Final prediction Chargers Will run and pass at will score 45 pts and win easily 45- 21. Mathews has a big day and Rivers has a big day. Until my next prediction.. THE SOURCE PRODUCTIONS @ 2011
