TGIF- FEB 28,2014 INSPIRED BY FRIENDS.
Thank God its Friday! I just finished my finals,, 100% score on examinations and My team , had to do a final PowerPoint presentation.. We were the last ones to do it and we nailed it. Of course I was my usual expressive and funny self.. If we do get downgraded, We may have gone overboard,, Excessive graphs, excessive explanations and long winded detailed observations.. But that's what I loved about this group ,, we were a bunch of over achieving , over the top,, show offs,, and Get this we got along? Maybe because we were similar in age and experience.. Its funny, the older I get the more I realize real friendships and bonds are so hard to find.. Its really rare to really connect with people. I know now. that the friendships I develop , I will cherish, because its so rare to find friendships.. I 'm glad i found these friends.. I know they are mostly females and the guys who read my blogs may think,, guys and gals cant be only friends. but I so disagree.. I mean, if your happy with yourself and content with what you have.. friendships with opposite sex,, so to speak can work out.. I know all my life I have always had wonderful relationships with girls,, perhaps costing me true long term relationships with that special someone But . its me.. I love to be around women, I love how they talk, walk and think,,Sure they can be bitchy, but think about guys if you had the curse,, every month,, losing blood and feeling shitty for a week.. I think we would go nuts.. Hell most guys cant stand getting sick with being overly dramatic..
But back to my blog.. I'm thankful its Friday I plan to catch up on things , like paying bills doing home duties and resting up before i start this cycle of studying again. But one thing is clear , I learned alot from my friends, study habits, making a schedule foe studying and enjoying every minute of my life. Life is so fragile. durIng the last week, some of my team members lost family due to illness and another one is really sick and in could possibly die.. and even in my own family , I have a loved one suffering, It makes you rethink whats important in life and value every moment you have on this earth,, Because you really never know and that's why I live a happy go lucky life. I know it turns some people off, but being a Hater , a angry person,,, just really doesn't work inn life,, People are so turned off by people like that. They may not tell you upfront so to speak, but it does. Human nature is we like people who are happy, engaging and have no hang ups.. WE love people who are respectful and polite,. flirty, yes,, we like to be happy.. because so many people ,don't like to be that way..
Its a different age and time where people are suspicious of nice or polite people. In other words, people these days have forgotten the art of talking and keeping in touch with people. Its the information age , where people want results now and don't want to wait. for anything. But in life , the best things ,family , friends , lovers , it takes daily nourishment and true feelings for one another for relationships to work.. Its rare to have true friendships and I am very blessed with the family and great friends I have and continue to have in the future because , I'm a true person that really wants people to know me for what I am and what I stand for.. I want the best in people and I share my happiness and talents with those who are not Haters, ungrateful and rude.. Life is too short to deal with those kinds of people.. TGIF -- and thank God for the True family and friends that accept my happy go lucky attitude and desire to be the best I can and encourage others to do so !! Make it happen Friday and enjoy your loved ones.. !!!

THE NFL COMBINE .2014..INSPIRED BY NFL NETWORK..
THE NFL COMBINE . INSPIRED BY NFL NETWORK,..
Well the NFL season is over and for us.. withdrawal pains.. Well it gives us more time to search the Internet, or exercising , or in my case waste gas driving black beauty ( my muscle car) , but the others it surfing the cable stations,, perhaps watching more car racing , or shows we would not normally watch,.
Now the combine,, its a series of events and exercise, testing the skills, speed , power and agility of players,, some of them looking great and others not.. But to be honest.. I rather see how a player plays in game time situations under extreme noise and stress under pressure, not in a quiet arena , with stop watches and showing off.. For me. I'm looking for a guy that has desire and skill and has that extra attitude,, You know what I mean,, In the NFL,, you cant be a wimp or too sensitive, no names please , martin..?? Well anyways,, the NFL is not real life, per se, but then again it is,, it s competititon , cut throat business that wants their workers , to give it their best, despite the cuts or or firing or what . I mean one day your a star like LT was and the next the chargers ARE dropping you like a bad habit.. Heck it happened to Peyton Manning, Joe Montana, Joe Namath. etc.. If you stick around long enough they get rid of you,, Unless your Barry Sanders who left the game a season or more too soon. But hey.. He's still one of my favorites when it comes to highlight reels,, I mean he makes grown professional athletes look like kids.. Now that's spectacular,, ala. Michael Jordan, or Muhammad Ali in their hey days, In their primes, they made you look silly...But those are ICONS and for those that got to see them in their primes , not recorded events. what a site to behold..
Now these so called experts.. the scouts , the talent evaluators.. yeah whatever.. Recall Tom Brady was a late round pick Russell Wilson, was late round.. Jerry Rice too. Alot of players get overlooked because they went to small town schools or didn't make the social rounds and become the elite , social party goers.. Its .. To me.. I'm gonna go after those players that have the chip on their shoulder that get over looked or under looked , that don't fit the physical measurements so many scouts want to adhere by.. Anyone in San Diego recall Cryan Ryan Leaf.. at one time they compared him to Peyton Manning.. Child Please.. He was a one time hit and more of a hit and miss to say the least.. His rants and arguments and ass hole personality,, destroyed San Diego for years.. I call them the Cryan Ryan affect.. The Bolts were in shambles until the famous 2001 draft,, LT , Brees, Kaeding , undrafted Gates.. were the core of the new era in charger football.. ONLY to be destroyed by ASSWIPE AJ SMITH and Nervous Norv Turner.. It makes me cringe to think what happened in 2006, and the firing of a 14-2 coach.. who the fawk does that? The San Diego Super Chargers,,, and the rest is history.. so to speak.. but those days are gone and the San Diego Chargers made a historic run last year with a mediocre team and a rejuvenated quarterback and running back,, But the loss of Malcolm Floyd and denario Alexander , may be too much to overcome this season.. Keenan Allen is a true number one elite receiver. but he needs help.. I thought home town grown Vincent Brown would pan out.. Maybe he still can.. But we need another game breaker.. to help Allen and gates.. I like green with his speed and catching ability , but is too inconsistent ,, he needs more tutelage from Gates.. I love gates , but his best days are behind him.. and Eddie Royal.. was a nice fill in , but its too expensive for a true slot receiver.. I think wood head is a keeper , but Ronnie Brown,,, I hate to say it,, is just not durable , or consistent enough to challenge Mathews.. If anything the resurgence of Mathews can be due to the woodhead affect.. Competition can scare you into playing and performing better. I give credit to Mathews, but can he gives us more seasons like that,,? that's the big question, and for Charger fans they need to look into getting a late round running back or wide out and of course getting that physical corner and pass rusher / line backer to solidify that defense. As for the offense.. New offensive coordinator, will be tested this upcoming season.. The teams know what the bolts want to do. and strong consistent offensive linemen will need to be addressed to compete in the resurgent and surprisingly strong AFC west.. recall 3 teams made the payoffs from the AFC west.. Its gonna be another dog fight to win this division or make the playoffs , with this current roster.. Tough decisions have to be made.. Alexander , made be gone , Ronnie brown, Vincent brown,, and even ajrotutu ,, its a tough job to have , but we need to cut salary and get production from the players we have,,, I'm sorry Clip board Jesus. Charlie Whitehurst,, the gig is up,, I know rivers likes you calling plays and such, but your a over paid back that never plays.. If your so good at calling plays and such, then we can hire you as a quarterback coach or what,, But not as a back up to Rivers. TO be honest the future is riding on the 3rd string Brad Sorenson, Big , strong agile and can run well.. He's the new breed of qbs that are athletic and nimble.. But for now, The bolts need to get the best player in the combine for the positions they need.. If the chargers can get 3 starters from the draft like they did last year. Then this year could be another 9-7, 10-6 year and another wild card spot.. I see the Broncos and Chiefs fighting for the top spot and the Bolts fighting for that last wild card spot.. As for the raiders.. They have talent , but that culture of bad ass , kick in you in the face football,, is not working. well not in today's football. I still think they are a quarterback away from being a playoff team,, and a threat to the AFC west,, But this could be the make ot break year for them.. according to NFL stats they have the lowest pay roll of any team in the league and could possibly make the biggest jump with a quality draft class or free agent signings.,, But time will tell. The combine does give us a look at potential stars of the NFL.. but finding that hidden gem,,, that the Chargers did last year with Rookie sensation Keenan Allen,, could be the next task for the scouts of all NFL teams this year.. Just because your the number one pick or 1st round pick doesn't always equate to a successful NFL career. In today's day in age.. The lower round picks end up playing better and performing better because its not whats expected of them.. Too much pressure being a number one pick or 1st rounder.. Too many kids get full of themselves or just cant handle the pressure,,, But one things is for sure,, come draft day .. many of the fans around the league will be looking for to see what their teams do or don't do,, and we are all looking forward to summer camps and preseason football and of course the fall opening kick off to begin another fast and furious season that concludes in ARIZONA.. the SUPER BOWL.. THE LOMBARDI TROPHY.. but for now,, its the off season, and a time to relax and get caught up with chores and stuff. Because when the football bug hits.. we are all infected and loving every minute of it,,NFL COMBINE .. its something to think about while we wait for the real football season to start. Are you ready for some football.. I know I can't wait until the season starts and we all become kids again rooting for teams and players , for us Fantasy football maniacs.. Its the greatest game ever invented.. !! hands down.. !!

Tuesday in Mission Hotel Riverside Hotel- Feb ,2014.. Inspired by wifey's classmate..
A Tuesday to remember - Feb 24.2014.. Inspired by wifeys classmate..
What a day , cruising to Riverside Ca,, in my muscle car and spending a wonderful day with wifey and friend.. It was quiet ,calm and enjoyable.. But the story from Angela , not her real name was shocking and even disheartening.. I mean.. Just imagine , you are living the perfect life with that special someone , only to have it cut short by cancer,, and boom the love of your life is gone, Your hubby, you best friend , lover,, your everything with a wink of eyes is gone, and then.. only too almost see your life almost end.By speeding.. now,,,I'm not sure if this meeting was meeting the wifey wanted me to hear and see. But to see the pain and tears in her eyes,, for losing her husband and almost losing her life.. speeding.. Just made me think? I mean.. My wife,, is very special to me.. I mean.. I don't want her to live life without,,me. That's why she texts and calls me to to be careful.. She knows I speed and i take risks,, Now.. I must admit I drove tame,, I didn't take as many chances and I drove beauty . like a luxury car.. But spending time with wifey and her close friend was really something I probably needed. I know and I have seen too many of my friends , classmates and shipmates die from drunk driving , or killed by others that were drunk and reckless. Its really depressing to think of those special people in my life to suffer such short lives. But I know life is unpredictable and regardless if I;m safe ,, you cant control what others do,, I mean. If others choose to speed and cut you off or make unsafe lane changes.. What can you do ? Curse. flick them off. tail gate the,,, chase them,, wave your fist.. It makes no use, if anything you are adding to the dangerous situations on the crowded so cal roads,, But we do it,, because our egos get in the way.. We feel at times we own the roads.. But its human emotions and for anyone to say why did they do that? Because we are humans and we are prone to desires, and feelings.. We cant go through life , thinking your going to do the right thing all of the time or some of the time.. The only thing we can count on.. is we are born.. we live and we all will die. now when and how is always the million dollar question,, and i think its better we don't know,, because what anxiety,, if we knew.. Its human nature,,, if we knew, we would be more sad , than happy.. So ,, its better to enjoy each day and live life to its fullest and do your best each day,, Because it may be your last day on earth.. so with that.. My Tuesday tip of the day is,, enjoy you life, and never take anything for granted and take care of friends.. Because I know when you lose a close or best friend.. it changes your thoughts and ideas, and even takes away a piece of you.. I know I tried to think losing a best friend.. would not bother me. But these last few months , not having that bestie , laugh, giggle and encourage me,, has left me empty and wondering where is Mel? I know life throws curves and I'm no different. I 'm a positive thinker and I like to be happy, but when things go bad , or people you care about suddenly are gone,, Its not as easy as saying oh well.. In life. as we get older,, Your going to meet people that just make a connection , its undeniable and its special.. and others may not understand or care about that connection,, and because of that,,, causes pains for those Friends and others involved... I'm not going to apologize for my connections with some people., because some people just have it , and for others its too much for them to handle. But its ok.. Because ,, No one knows the true destinies in life.. Some day , some where.. We are all going to face the truth or reality in life and when that happens,, all we can do is be ourselves and be true to those that are true to you.. and when its said and done, you lived the life you wanted and did what you wanted to do with out any regrets or concerns,, because life is fleeting. The old saying " of its too good to be true.. it probably is,,, and that's why.. those friendships those connections that seem so evident in our eyes or pictures .. there were just that. just... smoke and mirrors and just a moment in time that wasn't really real,, but just foolish hearts running wild,,, and not thinking about anything but oneself.. Oh well. We live and learn and as time goes by. it seems what should of or could of.. was that.. just an illusion.. or reflections of what we thought was real.. Today , was one of the most real days I had with wifey and I'm thankful for her being so loyal and loving and caring and above all , just being there . no matter how insensitive I can be, or how angry I can get or how selfish I can be.. if anything she showed that No mater what.. I accept you for what you are and I'm thankful for that and I'm glad , today is wonderful memory I will keep forever.. and I cant wait to spend more days like this .. Be true to those that are true to you.. because there are not many out there I can say that about!!!

Black Beauty- Opps she did it again.. Feb 23,2014...
Well another beautiful day In SOCAL.. the sun is shining, cool breeze in the air and I'm off on my traditional , routine scenic drive through Ortega highway into Orange county.. One of the things I enjoy about this ride,, Its just beauty(muscle car) and me.. Depending on my mood, I listen to my loud ass radio,, or just listen to my mopar hemi engine, It all depends.. Today was just listen to car day.. But before I went there ,, there was this truck with a girl ,,who basically stopped the truck ,, and was doing the rubber necking.. she was trying so hard to look at my car, she forgot where she was going./. I know it might sound exaggerated but if you ever get a chance to ride with me.. It gets the looks and compliments,, My best friend knows,, or former best friend,, she saw and heard all the compliments.. even the wifey,, trips out on all the attention.. Its funny she liked the car before I did.. I wanted a pure black car with a black stripe and chrome old school wheels,, but she was insisted on the beauty, and after a while, the whole day at the dealership.. I finally realized ,,, this is a sexy ass car, its funny ,,how my wife likes or knows what I like..
Well anyways, I'm cruising with beauty , all shiny and waxed out.. This Sunday there was no cops and my radar was silent,, so you all know what i did ..yes,, I was driving as fast as possible, dangerous, reckless speeds,, maybe , but the roads are clear,,, and alot of the time, cars get out of my way,, I mean.. That's my take,, when it comes to muscle cars,,, stay away and let me rule the road,, Maybe that's why we muscle car owners are hated,, envied,, or just shitted on .I mean we waste gas, we are noisy , and we big enough to take over the road.. heaven for bid if you have a loud ass stereo , to go along with it,, But so be it.. To own a muscle car is more than just having a cool ride, But a statement, we are different.. We are the lost generation that once lived in a time when driving a car meant having fun, feeling and hearing the car and just being a bad ass.. We love the attention and yes,, we are always looking to show off. But , times have changed and so have the cars. Prius, volts, little Honda's and Toyota's are not my thing.. I just hate how they all look the same , sound the same and just bore me to death.. I know I used to own those economy crap cars.. and now that I have the HORSE POWER MONSTER , I'm happy,, until I have to fill up this monster.But hey I'm a middle age Man.. GOING through a mid life crisis.. I work out, and I drive a muscle car and still listening to music like a teenager,, But hey , I'm enjoying this part of my life.. Because old age is coming , but to be honest if you see a fit 70 yr old man with a bad ass muscle car and still having attitude.. I mean.. I still look and think young.. Why? I stay in shape and still like today's music.. I feel to stay young you cant be sold on the old days,, Today is a gift , that's why they call it the " present" so enjoy and if its religion, or happy thoughts , please post and share on face book.. because to be honest,, I really hate reading about pity party posts or how life is so unfair,, It gets old, and I bet alot of your true friends probably hate you for that. Because life is so short, and the more time you enjoy what you have and don't worry about things you cant control.The better your life will be Be like me.. Be happy and strive to be your best and do what makes you happy,, and share happiness and preach love not hate,,Sure, they are bad people out there and we have to deal with them. But for the most part you get to choose who to hang with and who to be with.. Enjoy them and don't let petty stuff affect your relationship. I know , nothing brings me more joy than to See my wife and kids happy,, A happy home makes for a peaceful.. and taking care of their business, it allows me to enjoy my many hours with Black beauty. Like today.. cruising around smiling and just relaxing with my pride and joy , makes every day an enjoyable one.. Go out and do what makes you happy. Well another beautiful day In SOCAL.. the sun is shining, cool breeze in the air and I'm off on my traditional , routine scenic drive through Ortega highway into Orange county.. One of the things I enjoy about this ride,, Its just beauty(muscle car) and me.. Depending on my mood, I listen to my loud ass radio,, or just listen to my mopar hemi engine, It all depends.. Today was just listen to car day.. But before I went there ,, there was this truck with a girl ,,who basically stopped the truck ,, and was doing the rubber necking.. she was trying so hard to look at my car, she forgot where she was going./. I know it might sound exaggerated but if you ever get a chance to ride with me.. It gets the looks and compliments,, My best friend knows,, or former best friend,, she saw and heard all the compliments.. even the wifey,, trips out on all the attention.. Its funny she liked the car before I did.. Sensational Saturday - Feb 22,2014,in Socal..
Well everyone , we just got through another tough week of work, school, family matters, etc.. NOW ITS TIME to enjoy , well for those that have the weekends off.. But most of all its another great looking day in Socal.. San Diego, Temecula, Orange County , Los Angeles ,,etc.. We didn't get alot of rain this winter , in fact we didn't realize it was winter , except for the constant news stating the excessive snow and rain around the United States of America.. I recall my 6 years in Japan, Northern Japan and I had to deal with over 200+ inches of snow yearly. Yes.. it was crazy.. Thank goodness I drove a 4x4 truck.. But the chapped lips , and dry skin ,, and always having wet clothing during the winter months.. The Japan years was still one of the best times of my life.. Blogs to come later.. Now back to this blog..
Enjoy today.. for me. I do my traditional , addictive sessions at LA fitness gym.. I work out the whole body,, including the heart.. I like to do aerobics , because it keeps my weight down and helps my heart pounding.. In addition I like working the weight room on arms , shoulder and back.. I rarely do leg work. I don't want bulky , tight legs. Need those to be loose and nimble for the upcoming dance videos ..
But anyways.. I also clean my car.. Wifey says I spend too much time with the " Mistress" Black beauty I call her...hehe. But anyways.. I do the car wash, vacuum, detailing , waxing . deal,,, She looks good after I'm done.. and of course I show off running around town.. doing my errands... Grocery , shopping for house items.. and just enjoying the sights and sounds of SOCAL..
I KNOW.. it sounds like a busy day. and for me. Yes. But its how I roll..I like to do things and See things . Because life should be that way.. but your right it seems once I start completing these errands and such.. the sunset is upon me, and its sleep time? Well Saturday night it more like staying up all hours of the night.. and sleep in in Sunday.. Anyways, No football to watch..
Whatever your hobby or what,, go out and enjoy it.. and Be happy that you have another day to enjoy life and be happy. And also if you happen to see " Black Beauty" and me around the SO CAL area,, smile and wave.. and if I see you I will blink my lights or roll down my tinted windows and wave.. if not just watching my muscle car zoom by at 80+ ,, I never drive the speed limit.. I mean who does??? hehe. But anyways.. I have to get to my takings so to speak..Go out and do what makes you happy.. Why? Because we can. I know the life of cold snowy winters.. and though I enjoyed it for a time,, Now I enjoy the great weather and great scenes of beaches, mountains, parks and malls of SOCAL.. that all of us...Use and abuse .. !!! Don't Worry Be happy my friends and remember today is a gift.. that's why we call the " Present!"

Like Father , Like Son ..Inspired by My Papa.. Feb 21,2014,,
Well , My father is a retired veteran from World War II, Korean War.. His parents were eliminated in the Philippines by the Japanese invaders.. Maybe that's why he is so anti-Japanese.. Do I blame him? No I mean if you your family killed..I think I would hate them..forever.. He never owned a Japanese car and or electronics.. He still has the old TV , and stereo I grew up with. But one thing he is, He's a born and raised Pilipino and a Proud American Citizen..
Like most Americans, He loves fast food, fast women and fast cars.. He's a fast talking, no bullshit taking dad,. Even now. at his advanced age,, He still talks shit and still proud to be a American,, And why not? They took this skinny kid out of the beaches of PI and make a great life for his family in the United States of America.. I had a rough time with my dad, perhaps too much alike.. But the constant moving from Virginia. Texas. California.. Oakland , Long Beach to finally residing in South San Diego.. Was tough,, Its tough to be the new kid in school.. You are bullied or picked on..Especially if your dark , short and skinny and didn't talk much.. But as I grew older and learned how to fight and learn the American ways,. I excelled at sports, street fighting and academics. I was like a academic , street smart bad ass.. At times it was good, other times.. I would get harassed by the COP" CROOKS ON PATROL" I once called one, as he patted me down for drugs and weapons.. Those were tough times back in 80's - the height of gang life.. Just because we looked like thugs , doesn't mean we were. But stereotypes,, even today.. are hard to shake,, and I'm thankful that my kids are not even close to what i was when growing up.. I was a short tempered, ruffian that was affected by racial slurs and bigotry. But I realized education is the equalizer , as well as the left hook I developed learning karate and boxing.. Its funny , the lack of patience and fighters attitude,, was ingrained in me by my father. I always said to my friends I would not be like my dad.. But when I joined he navy,, I was bad ass , heavy drinking loud mouth sailor.. In those days it was ok. at times. But as the Navy ,, new navy,, evolved, I became more of an eye sore or a replica of the old navy.. It was tough my last years in the navy,, because I was schooled in the old ways,, the fan room counseling beat downs and hazing was part of the navy way of life. Though many officially will not admit to it,, But back in the day. we had issues we went to a storeroom , beat the hell out of each other than go out and that night ..liberty call and drink the night away.. Man.Those were the days,, No liberty buddies,, no terrorist threats. We came , we conquer , we ruled back in the day. Now its so image , perception driven.. Today's navy is so different than the days gone by.. Perhaps its good, because the scars I have mentally and physically will never go away and perhaps jaded my views about today's youth and life experiences,I have no sympathy for today's youth,,Why? Because i went through hell ,, wog day, beat downs,, hazing,, to the point your bleeding and bruised , that I had to g to medical.. But was I a snitch,,, Nope,,I said I fell.. Its amazing .. the life I lived,,But I loved it and embrace it,, would I do it again.. Hell Yeah.. because those were the best times of my life.. But now.. I'm like my dad., a retired , loud mouth , Proud American - Filipino.. !! We love American Muscle Cars,, American Music.. We love America.. because with out him joining the US Navy and adopting navy values and such.. Gave him and myself the life.. Yea, I know Americans are rude, crude and lewd, we talk shit , we fight for our rights , we are arrogant sons of bitches,, But that's what America is.. Our Ancestors,, came to this country,, saw what they liked and said,, I want this,, and you cant stop us.. Its the American Way.. We don't listen to you, you listen to us, You fear US. or you better.. ala ,, The Ronald Reagan years.. My favorite American and true patriot in today's modern presidency.. I know John F. Kennedy, Roosevelt, Lincoln, Washington are great Presidents.. But Reagan,, fit the bill. Military , Actor, Announcer, Governor and finally President of the United States,, He lived the charmed and perfect life.. and he defended this country like no other president ever and he wasn't afraid to show his emotions, Because he was true American , that fought for his country and served it well as Governor of California and finally President of the United States of America.. Like father , like son.. I agree with my dad's praise of Ronald Reagan , he was one of the last true Americans from the greatest generation. I pray and hope ,,Someone with those qualities , save America,, because this country is meant to be feared and respected , not jeered and disrespected like it is now.. We need a true leader of men and that will keep his promises and not just talk well but follow through with his intentions,, Like father , like son..I miss the old Navy and the Reagan Era,, those were the best of times.. hands down!!! Until MY next blog.. Like father like son, We both admired one the greatest Americans who ever lived.. I'm proud to be American and not afraid to say so!!

THROWBACK THURSDAY - PARTY TIME INSPIRED BY FABZ,,
Back in the day , My bro in law fabz,, and others were show offs , show men or women.. One thing if you attend any of our parties.. We have performers,, We have singers and guitarist.. Fabz is one o the most amazing players around I never grow tired f his guitar playing, along with Jeff, and Ken.. They are so smooth in the way they play and we do goof around,, They play and I show off, dance or sing blues style or hard rock.. What they love is my improv rock songs.. I sample from Van Halen, Journey , Metallica to Def Leppard. and dance like the jabbawockeez>?? Go figure how that goes.. But we have fun.. Whether its in Chula Vista , South San Diego or Temecula.. We do it up good.. Its fun and it special times.. I know they loved it when I would sing duets with my our fun loving , always smiling family friend... no names please.. Its seems some or alot of family don't like it when I use their names or such.. I understand.. We all have images or perceptions to adhere too. I'm good with that. But its funny how others perceived us.. ? I mean.. It was only singing and dancing,, but to each is own.. It seems at times .. some family ,, don't like seeing others happy.. If you ever hear the saying " Mind your business" For reals , if it doesn't affect you why get concerned.. But like anything in life. You have to deal with family pride, ego's , feelings, etc.. That's why.. maybe.. slightly.. I'm not into family parties anymore.. Its a shame because i did and maybe in the future enjoy those moments.. But anyways, back to the parties..
We have tons of fun.. and we all post them on out own you tube accounts.. singing, dancing , rapping, comedy skits,. you name it . we do it.. and We all enjoy those times. because we know time is marching on.. We all know when its time to party and enjoy ,, take the chance.. Because real life is always there and always testing our wills and ways..
In essence,, I really enjoyed the parties of the past.singing journey songs with my bestie, twin,, show offs,, we have that vibe that is like other and perhaps some day,, when cooler heads prevail.. we can sing again,, and bring the families together.. because we are getting too old to hold grudges or be upset over little things.. But its ok.. I know as long as I live the parties will continue and when its time I will do my thang. whether its dancing pop locking moves to Taylor swift music or sing journey songs with Fabz and the band.. or retelling my many stories in the navy.. Once a performer , always the performer and for my Mentor and side kick.. Fabz.. I will be there.. hey sounds like the next song to sing..hehe.. Throwback Thursday.. I miss the duets with my side kicks,, and my improv dancing that Jenny, and others seem to enjoy.. Our parties are more than get together , but expressions of our talents and skills and sharing moments that stay in our legacy or in our cases,, You tube accounts and blogger accounts.. THOUGHTFUL THURSDAY FEB 19,2014..
Every once in while we all need to just sit back and think about things. In this fast paced, stress filled life we live.. We at times,, Don't take the time to smell the roses.. Today I had a wonderful time with my wife, doing things together in beautiful San Diego,,, Driving my Muscle car and also seeing alot of CHIPPERS AND COPS.. MY radar detector was shouting all day long.. hmm. I wonder they are out to get me.. But once it goes off.I slow down.. I cant or want t imagine how many tickets I would of had already.. Probably enough to sell the car.. But so far so good. But The most special part of the day was seeing a shipmate from years ago.. In fact almost 10 years... Yes.. He looked older and heavier and I'm sure I did too. But he said " i looked younger , than years back.. Bad eyes.. haha. I have longer hair on my head and face.. But it was nice recall the japan years.. To this day,, My favorite place is Japan.. why? Because I met so many great people , and we shared a wonderful time in my life. I had great experiences with my son growing up studying karate , and playing youth sports, the friendships I made with the Japanese people were second to none, I mean where can you go in the states and they direct or stop traffic so you can pull out of the gas station safely... In addition those gas stations were the cleanest and best I have ever seen. I was saddened when I had to leave japan.. not because I had to return to sea duty, but the fact I was going to miss the soup ramen places that were second to none.. the COLA.. not the drink.. but the cost of living allowance was wonderful and why I was able to buy a large home , and cars and things.. I recall the many picnics and parties we shared with one another , and of course the drifting of Japanese cars ,, and the wrecks i saw many times.. mostly American service men and women.. But those were fun and memorable times.. I can write a book about all the events I went through. But just look over my many blog stories.. Many are too funny to believe.. Yes,, real life can seem like fantasy and I have had a blessed life living over seas and seeing a land and culture , I would not have ever seen or been a part of.. Its funny , when I was younger i wanted to see the world and having done so.. I realized it wasn't so much seeing the lands and sights,, and such,, But just seeing how people live and interact.. In japan.. they are classy people an I was treated with so much respect an love...and the memories , tears and moments I shared with many of my shipmates and co workers,, is awesome and truly a treasure I will never forget. I know I may never visit japan again,, or maybe I will, But the many moments I shared will always be on of the highlights I will cherish in my long and cherished Navy Career, Its funny 20 years goes by so fast.. well not when you were standing long watches in cold snowy weather , or those long cold foggy nights in the middle of now where.. At times.. just being outside of San Diego harbor, seemed like you were in the middle of now where.. Come to think of it. How I endured those sleepless , lonely nights and days,,, away from family.. Only makes me cherish the times I have with them now.. I know the time most at sea, Is just that lost time..But right now , right here is the best time of my life and I'm glad.. I have the family , friends and fans to share the journey we are all going through.. Because its not the destination that's so important , but the journey the process, the living and learning and experiencing things you never thought possible.. Life is meant to be lived and for those that are doing that I salute you,, Because the older we get , it seems there is never enough time to do anything.. But we all need to take a deep breath , once in a while and smell the roses, or say hi to a good friend..and just he happy. Because we all know based on life experiences,, nothing last forever and the fun moments we have , we need to cherish.. Because life is lot like sports teams.. so unpredictable and stressful to watch.. In other words.. Enjoy the moments in your life and share your happiness, because today is the best time of your life. Live the moment and don't take things for granted.. The grass is not always greener in other places.. Sometimes.. Happiness is right where to sit or stand.. Be comfortable with oneself and what you want to do.. Life , liberty and the pursuit of happiness,, those are not only great words,, but what all of us should strive for.. Just thoughts to live by and take care until my next blog.. Every once in while we all need to just sit back and think about things. In this fast paced, stress filled life we live.. We at times,, Don't take the time to smell the roses.. Today I had a wonderful time with my wife, doing things together in beautiful San Diego,,, Driving my Muscle car and also seeing alot of CHIPPERS AND COPS.. MY radar detector was shouting all day long.. hmm. I wonder they are out to get me.. But once it goes off.I slow down.. I cant or want t imagine how many tickets I would of had already.. Probably enough to sell the car.. But so far so good. But The most special part of the day was seeing a shipmate from years ago.. In fact almost 10 years... Yes.. He looked older and heavier and I'm sure I did too. But he said " i looked younger , than years back.. Bad eyes.. haha. I have longer hair on my head and face.. But it was nice recall the japan years.. To this day,, My favorite place is Japan.. why? Because I met so many great people , and we shared a wonderful time in my life. Make it safe Monday.. Feb 17,2014..
Make it safe Monday? Well first of all always wear seat belts and always pay attention to driving. I see and hear too many stories on the news on people getting run over or car crashes etc.. Why? I say texting , talking , twittering, face booking,, distractions.. People please driving is no joke.. A accident can happen in a second.. People will cut in front of you or speed by you in a flash of second and if your dealing with your mobile devices.. boo. crash. dead.. or injuries.. If anything think about others safety if not your own.. Because when someone dies , or gets injured , you are affecting not only the victim or yourself. but your own family , the other peoples families , your job, your school , your insurance rates, medical bills,, etc.. Its involves alot of issues and people..Please be safe..
Now to home safety.. always lock doors , windows,, I use window locks and wooden dowels to keep windows shut. I also have tinted windows and blinds to keep house cool during the hot months we have in SO CAL .. LIKE all year long right? Well anyways.. I also if possible leave the front yard lived in or that your working in the yard. I at times leave gardening tools out and or hose laid out , making it look I'm at home doing gardening work.. I know it looks untidy,, but if the crooks , go passing by your neighborhood,, if they see that, at least they will think twice before scoping your place. Crooks these days want to enter homes with least resistance.. so make your house a hard target.. Never take anything for granted.. Always lock up house and always keep valuables locked and stored..
Another suggestion.. is... Don't answer doors for salesman or what.. these are guys or gals scoping your house to see if who's at home . and such.. Its better you don't, answer so they cant size you up.. I also have a home alarm system.. ADT is my service,, its a peace of mind that eases my mind,, But like I said,, Prevention is the best protection.. I also have my teenage son,, with a shot gun ,, near his bed on the top bedroom , has great view of front yard.. and he has great skills at using weapon,. I know that's crazy,, but the world is not the same .. too many weirdo's druggies and crazies out there.. I also have a hand gun I keep locked and loaded near me.. I'm not saying I will shoot to kill , but I'm not going to die without a fight,especially when it comes to my family. !!
camera's . its a good thing to have.. You can buy them at Costco.. Tools stores, electronics shops.. it can go from less than 100.00 dollars into the thousands.. its a great deterrent . something you all should think about.. If anything putting doubts in a criminals mind is what you want.. In my neighborhood a near break in led to my neighbor shooting the intruders.. I applaud her , because being alone and female , has to be a uncomfortable if not scary. I;m just saying, crime happens anywhere and every where.. You have to be ready and prepared to respond.. Too many people think, That's other people,, But you see incidents happen at the malls, parking lots,, ATM machines,, Crime is not getting better as the economy gets worse..People are desperate and these are desperate times.. We all have worked had for our belongings. I don't think you want some lazy , scum bag crook get your stuff. I'm not trying to scare you , buy just make you aware.. Life is not all well.. I know face book is fun,, But reality is,, Life and intruders are on face book too.. Just be safe and do what makes you happy, but just remember ,, there are hackers , slackers , and opportunists looking for victims,, Just don't be one , Be a hard target and defend your property , life and family.. Happy Presidents day 2014. In honor of two of the greatest Presidents in US History George Washington(22) , and Abraham Lincoln(12), This was created in the mid 1980's to incorporate it as a Federal holiday. But many if not all schools also honor this day,, which happens around the third week of the Month.. and always ensure a three day weekend.
But I would like to honor Presidents I admire because they served in the Greatest Navy on earth and I proudly served for 20 years.
The Presidents are or were not in any particular preference. George Bush, Jimmy Carter, Richard Nixon , I received a Environmental award from him when I was in grade school,,,, Lyndon B Johnson and John F. Kennedy, I salute them and I'm grateful for their service and their efforts at Presidency, We all know as Americans , we expect our Presidents to be perfect , but at times because of issues, wars and the state of affairs.. of the country.. These Presidents and others in history had to make questionable decisions under extreme stress and with that I want to pay my respects for their dedication to duty and being a true Public Servant. America is great because we have great men who are willing to accept those roles and duties.. Happy Presidents day and just reflect on all the Presidents that have made this country great . God Bless America!!!

Black Beauty -Sunday Drive- Feb 16,2014..
Black Beauty - Sunday Drive - Feb 16,2014...
Another great Sunday morning in SO cal.. I went on my traditional Sunday morning drive , cruising by Ortega Highway , and on the Nas Car 15,, Then out of no where , This CHP cruiser swings by. Its good thing I wasn't cruising at my 100 + speeds.. Yes. cruising. I know how can you go that fast and not feel it.. Well first off its fast and powerful and big car.. It can handle the speed better than a prius or ford focus.. It meant for long trips and going fast for extended period of times..
Well back to my story,, well my radar detector was going off and in my rear view mirror is a CHP cruiser.. he's actually following me,, has his radar on me.. But I hold steady at 75 mph.. So then he tries to overtake me but I speed up to thwart him.. He then gets behind me and follows me until my next exit,, I decide to exit another road and he goes right ahead of me but makes the same left turn.. Now,,I 'm thinking what is he thinking? He See's my radar detector , he See's my high beam light on the dash and He also must see my Riverside Police sticker and LAPD police car model on the dash. ? Now what is he thinking? Who knows , I have seen him many times around here, catching people for speeding, But not me yet? I mean the law of averages say he will get me? But as long as I do it effectively and my radar detector doesn't fail me,, I believe I'm good. Well anyways, The drive was fun and relaxing and that's why I make it the Sunday morning ritual.. I mean.. winding through the roads , listening to the motor or stereo, it depends on my moods,, today was listening to Motley Crue and the motor .. It was cool relaxing morning.. The sun breaking through , and not to hot or cool , just a nice Sunday drive, until the CHP guy roll up.. I mean,, I should be upset , he's making a living, he has to write tickets and keep the roads safe.. As long as your a responsible driver and not driving reckless I have no issue with you,,Its the ones that tail gate you , cut you off and entice you to speed,, that's the drivers I hate.. but then again I'm that way too, if I'm in a hurry. Aren't we all. But on those Sunday mornings when I do take that scenic , relaxing drive. Well even for a few minutes I feel like a King , I feel like everything is perfect... But that CHP cop.. showed me very quickly.. Things can change in a second like today,, I went from cruising fast too,, a steady cruise. Did it scare me? Of course I don't want to spend money on a expensive ticket,, But the most part.. I don't want wifey to get upset with me and if anyone that has a wife, a girl , a whatever.. They can make you feel so dumb and stupid ,, So, today was fun.. but it also was hint that .. If your not careful.. too much fun ,, can be expensive..
Well.. take care driving and remember , we share the roads with one another and the COPS are always around,. Marked cruiser or undercover.Yes, I have seen those too and they too have followed me around like a criminal.. Which I'm not,, unless you count driving 100 + at times. My Sunday drive its a ritual , its a tradition and its what makes me get my week going. It may not be your cup of tea,, But I feel everyone should have their Sunday drive, or Sunday walk,, bike ride, run.. dance or what.. I found doing something you love to do and making it special that day.. Makes you feel good and makes the week start off on the right track. My Black Beauty blog for the week.. Michael Sam Story- I am who I am.. Inspired by his admission I'm Gay..
Michael Sam Story - I am who I am..Inspired by his admission,,I'm gay....
What a story, or better yet what courage to admit to something man of us think is wrong , or unlawful tasteless sexual behaviour. But it took guts, courage and tremendous insight or foresight on his part. I mean, His story will be replayed and talked about forever. Its not that there has never been gay players in the NFL. But they waited until they retired before coming out.. This one,, is setting a tone. I mean, Now players will have to deal with a openly gay player. Now, based on my experience in the military, there are alot more gays , lesbians than the military knows about.. Now , How did I feel when confronted by it.. At first , I was somewhat shocked , but as time went by, I realized these gays , lesbians are people. they are funny , they are sensitive and they are comfortable with themselves. Sure , alot of them even went along with the gay bashing jokes.. in fact some of the funniest people I knew in the Navy were gay or lesbians. Why? Maybe because they are used to left out or a misfit and used to being alienated.. in life. I know being alienated is not a cool thing, regardless of sexual or racial lines.. Its tough when you don't fit in. I know the feeling.. and to be honest nothing hurts more than being left out or casted out as misfit . To be honest people are mean, and they seem to care more about their dogs and cats than human beings or raising a family. Its tough just to be alive to live with one another , and I applaud Michael Sam, he wants to make a difference , he wants to be the pioneer, but he also must realize this could and very well limit his choices for an NFL career, Because I'm sure many teams have already decided to waste their time. Why, the media circus this will create , remember Tebow.. He created such a storm by being a Christian. Now we have a human being saying I'm something or do things that are TABOO in life or religious circles. He knows it will take a very understanding and PIONEERING team to take a chance.. But I"m guessing if there is a team that has the youth , the new way of thing and experience at media circus acts... Yes, the New managing team San Diego Chargers, they have a new management coaching team, they dealt with a pecuilar situation with Mante Teo.. I mean, he is a guy who had this imaginary girlfriend and was and still the center of the jokes. Lets be honest, he had to affect him and it showed , he did not play well early and throughout the year, The attention he brought to himself and the team I feel affected the whole team.. But as time went on the team grew and overcame the controversy,, I mean the chargers are gamblers, they took a chance with Teo, took a chance with a fluker , and of course another one with the slow40 yd dash time Allen,, But guess what all of them were starters and allen became rookie of the year on so many polls and other other magazine voters.. The chargers gambled on a rookie GM and HEAD COACH, AND ARE taking chances again on rookie Offensive coordinator Frank Reich and others. This team is a pioneer in the NFL, they are making statements and are going to consider Sam,, in my take, because he fits the charger mentality,, judge me for the way I play, not for the way i look, if he can play and is available , The chargers will or should take a chance. This team needs players , they shocked the world , especially the Steelers, that they can overcome the odds and turn things around quickly. In today's NFL the team that has strong leadership , ability to adapt and overcome great odds do well,,, Take the seahawks, they built a team based on playing ability and if they truly believe in each other. The hawks have alot of late round picks , and they became stars and champions in the NFL. NFL IS NO FIGURE LEAGUE. Not all the stats tell you the truth.. Barry Sanders was the greatest running back ever and he barely stood 5-8.. if that.. Doug Flutie or Drew Brees are some of the shortest quarterbacks in history and both had tremendous success. In other words, even a guy like Russel Wilson, not the tallest , or fasest or smartest qb in the league , but has the biggest desire and heart , which cant be measured. In THE NFL or in life, many times , their is traits and qualities that can be measured , until pressure, adversity , and issues arise,,, That's when you find out who can adapt overcome and prevail. Nothing in life is easy o comes easy. We all have to make sacrifices and make efforts to succeed in life. We have to take risks and chances and be fearless.. to succeed. As for Michale Sams , I wish him well, and I hope and pray he does his best and makes fools of those that think because he's gay,, He can't play. I'm impressed he a defensive guy that has to knock guys off their ass. That's what makes this story impressive, he's not a kicker or quarterback or what , He's a bad ass , in your face ,, Tackling machine that is making the biggest tackle in his life and could also be the biggest mistake in his life. But he's showing that in order to be great , you have to take a risk and make a statement ,, and if any team takes that risk and makes that move. That's will be a moment in time. What a story, or better yet what courage to admit to something man of us think is wrong , or unlawful tasteless sexual behaviour. But it took guts, courage and tremendous insight or foresight on his part. I mean, His story will be replayed and talked about forever. Its not that there has never been gay players in the NFL. But they waited until they retired before coming out.. This one,, is setting a tone. I mean, Now players will have to deal with a openly gay player. Now, based on my experience in the military, there are alot more gays , lesbians than the military knows about.. Now , How did I feel when confronted by it.. At first , I was somewhat shocked , but as time went by, I realized these gays , lesbians are people. they are funny , they are sensitive and they are comfortable with themselves. Sure , alot of them even went along with the gay bashing jokes.. in fact some of the funniest people I knew in the Navy were gay or lesbians. Why? Maybe because they are used to left out or a misfit and used to being alienated.. in life. I know being alienated is not a cool thing, regardless of sexual or racial lines.. Its tough when you don't fit in. I know the feeling.. and to be honest nothing hurts more than being left out or casted out as misfit . To be honest people are mean, and they seem to care more about their dogs and cats than human beings or raising a family. Its tough just to be alive to live with one another , and I applaud Michael Sam, he wants to make a difference , he wants to be the pioneer, but he also must realize this could and very well limit his choices for an NFL career, Because I'm sure many teams have already decided to waste their time. Why, the media circus this will create , remember Tebow.. He created such a storm by being a Christian. Now we have a human being saying I'm something or do things that are TABOO in life or religious circles. He knows it will take a very understanding and PIONEERING team to take a chance.. But I"m guessing if there is a team that has the youth , the new way of thing and experience at media circus acts... Yes, the New managing team San Diego Chargers, they have a new management coaching team, they dealt with a pecuilar situation with Mante Teo.. I mean, he is a guy who had this imaginary girlfriend and was and still the center of the jokes. Lets be honest, he had to affect him and it showed , he did not play well early and throughout the year, The attention he brought to himself and the team I feel affected the whole team.. But as time went on the team grew and overcame the controversy,, I mean the chargers are gamblers, they took a chance with Teo, took a chance with a fluker , and of course another one with the slow40 yd dash time Allen,, But guess what all of them were starters and allen became rookie of the year on so many polls and other other magazine voters.. The chargers gambled on a rookie GM and HEAD COACH, AND ARE taking chances again on rookie Offensive coordinator Frank Reich and others. This team is a pioneer in the NFL, they are making statements and are going to consider Sam,, in my take, because he fits the charger mentality,, judge me for the way I play, not for the way i look, if he can play and is available , The chargers will or should take a chance. This team needs players , they shocked the world , especially the Steelers, that they can overcome the odds and turn things around quickly. In today's NFL the team that has strong leadership , ability to adapt and overcome great odds do well,,, Take the seahawks, they built a team based on playing ability and if they truly believe in each other. The hawks have alot of late round picks , and they became stars and champions in the NFL. NFL IS NO FIGURE LEAGUE. Not all the stats tell you the truth.. Barry Sanders was the greatest running back ever and he barely stood 5-8.. if that.. Doug Flutie or Drew Brees are some of the shortest quarterbacks in history and both had tremendous success. In other words, even a guy like Russel Wilson, not the tallest , or fasest or smartest qb in the league , but has the biggest desire and heart , which cant be measured. In THE NFL or in life, many times , their is traits and qualities that can be measured , until pressure, adversity , and issues arise,,, That's when you find out who can adapt overcome and prevail. Nothing in life is easy o comes easy. We all have to make sacrifices and make efforts to succeed in life. We have to take risks and chances and be fearless.. to succeed. As for Michale Sams , I wish him well, and I hope and pray he does his best and makes fools of those that think because he's gay,, He can't play. I'm impressed he a defensive guy that has to knock guys off their ass. That's what makes this story impressive, he's not a kicker or quarterback or what , He's a bad ass , in your face ,, Tackling machine that is making the biggest tackle in his life and could also be the biggest mistake in his life. But he's showing that in order to be great , you have to take a risk and make a statement ,, and if any team takes that risk and makes that move. That's will be a moment in time. Loud Music trial- Michael Dunn - Florida Case Feb 13,2014...
Here we go again, First Zimmerman, Stand you ground case to this one? Really, you shoot and kill an unarmed black kid , loud mouth youth because they are playing loud music.. And get this the white man is middle age man with bad hearing , claims the music was gangster rap , thug music.. Oh really ,, Well Mr. Half of time when kids and adults blast their music you cant even understand or determine if its Van Halen, Tupac or Justin Bieber,, In fact I can play Justin bieber turn up the bass and make it sound like thumping heavy bass music.. Just saying.. To me,, this is a case of a insecure , violent white guy that has no business in society if he doesn't like music , that's not affecting him.. I mean if you didn't like the music blaring from the truck.. simply move you car,, To attack or this case shoot into a truck based on your anger issues is unsat.. They had no gun, they made no threats,, they were trying to escape,, I mean.. their is gun shoots in the back of the truck, while they are trying to speed away,, and get this.. after the shooting,, he doesn't call the police,, and he doesn't tell his girlfriend what went down.. This is a common sense trial,,, A reasonable person doesn't pull out a gun , if you feel disrespected , or better yet you ego was hurt more than anything else.. He broke the law and was so arrogant that he didn't feel he needed t report the incident? I mean.. he doesn't even tell his girl , the whole deal.. He has the peace of mind to order pizza, and drink wine and sleep after such an incident.. and think about this if you feel or felt like your life was in danger , don't you think I would bring the gun inside with me to the hotel room? I mean.. common sense tells me.. that he was not fearful of his life, but more fearful of being caught or prosecuted, like he is about to, or should be prosecuted,, Because Florida has different laws and different attitudes,, I mean, I lived briefly In Florida for some of my Navy training days, and its a different feel in that part of Florida,, I mean it felt like I was an outsider, an alien.. Why? Maybe because I look and act Asian. I 'm an American born citizen, but I still look Asian, and as well as I speak and write , I know deep down inside I'm still a Asian a gook , a rice burner man. I know its the new age and we have evolved from that. Well the younger generation is being exposed to that. But there is still a minority of people that are racist and have images and stereotypes about people and races. In this case, Its clear cut , he was angered by these kids,, they were loud and proud, having fun.. Blasting their music like most of us did when we were 17 years old. and to be straight uo I still do.. But No matter what? Is that a case to kill over loud music.. I mean this is America.. Aren't we supposed to be the best nation to live? If anything this is another embarrassing , upsetting and tragic commentary on American Life,, and its kind of scares me that society, or small pockets of them think its ok to kill a person, yet , they cry foul or injustice when dogs or pets get mistreated or killed. Whats more important ? To me.. I'm not worried about how this case turns out, ts the aftermath, its the youth today , that I'm concerned about, I have boys that like blasting their music.. They play rock , gangster rap , Taylor swift.. all kinds of music.. and Now I have to wonder if some bigoted , small town , racist arrogant punk will gun down my kids or myself,, Maybe its good he lives in a back water town that allows street justice for insecure, people,, because in California. he would have to shoot everyone at the gas station, because of their loud music or such.. Whats gets me.. is that in cali.. Its not only the blacks , Asians or whites that blast their music loud,, But no matter what the race, in cali we play all kinds of music.. Maybe cali folks are more ,lenient or less loyal to certain types of music , or what// If anything.. That man Michael Dunn,, should of chilled out.. Instead ,, according to jail house letters written to his girl.. He is a racist pig that just wanted to unleash his deep - seated hatred and fear of young black youths.. I mean if anything that kid was scared, Michael Dunn is a 6-4 tall big white guy,, 47 years old.. I mean,, he had the weight , height , and age of wisdom on his side,, and a loaded 9mm , to add to his power issues.. Just because a young loud mouth yells obscenities ,or verbally talks shit.. if you could hear it under the thunderous heavy bass. is beyond me.. Back in the day.. as a youth and even today h kids say I will kill you and i will destroy you,, Its talk,, its youthful , insensitive macho bull shit.. That you figure a middle age professional man would understand . ?? Its a shame that he didn't show more wisdom and guidance for our youths today,, If anything the hatred , bigotry and senseless act will only bring more hatred and racism to a country that is already struggling with those issues. Who need the enemy.. like the Chinese , or the middle east beasts.. We Americans are killing ourselves,, much to the delight of the Al queda , or any other groups , just ready to take of this land.. The danger is not from the outside,, but within the framework, of racist America,, and this case whatever the ending . May be the beginning to the end of true harmony in this country? Its a scary thought and I pray for peace. Not only around the world. But In America , where I served over 20 years of my life defending this nation against enemies foreign and domestic, but I never knew that the biggest enemy maybe ourselves and our neighbors.. Loud Music trial.. It sounds as stupid as the defense as this arrogant son of bitch is trying to get away with.. I felt fearful of my life I had no other choice,, Yeah, really, how about rolling up your windows,, or parking in another spot.. or reporting the incident as soon as it happened.. writing down their license plate..and reporting to police that these youths have a gun or guns and threatened to kill me? Why he didn't ..because he was not threatened.. His ego was , is pride , his dignity,, but life threatened.. no way.. What gets me , he cried over a dog , and his fiance , but showed no empathy , sympathy , or remorse over killing a human being.. Why? Because in his twisted , racist , small minded back water town thinking, blacks , Asians , Mexicans, or not whites are just not Americans not worthy of his feelings or emotions,, if anything that's whats scary about him, and to top it off ,,there are many people in the twitter ,face book world that think.. He's had the right to defend himself.. Really , shooting them in the back, shooting while the truck was fleeing.. mode.. and waiting one day .. to come back with his story. The truth will prevail.. and inconsistencies in his demeanor , has to render a guilty verdict, But I thought the same with the Zimmerman case.. Its a common sense case, if you fire a gun,, at people,, you need to call 911, to report your threat or incident , if your a law abiding citizen.. he didn't exercise common sense, he lacked proper judgment and poor decision making.. He is a menace to society and acted more like a gangster thug , that he thought were threatening him than they portrayed..The sad fact is, a family loses a family member and hatred gains another notch and society doesn't learn anything productive from this case. The sad fact is, America is at war,, and the enemy can be your next door neighbor in Temecula ca, San Diego, North Dakota to Florida.. We have met the enemy and they are US!!!!

Thursday throwback Memory- I blew the engine - Toyota Supra 90's...
Thursday throw back Memory _ I blew the Engine - Toyota Supra 90's...
All these videos and memories being posted by my face book friends , classmates. I thought why not? A bad memory.. well an interesting one.. It was the 90's before I joined the Navy and I was looking for another car,, to go along with my Lifted , tricked out Toyota SR5 4x4 truck.. Its was my prise and joy,, But it wasn't fast, or fast enough.. so I looked for a SUPED up , Rice racer. and Toyota Supra ,, 86.. style. you guys recall. It looked like a miniature corvette . Well it was Jet Black.. of course and it had a real low stance and it looked and ran great.. Well ...
Until I took it for a spin on Silver Strand .. you guys know,, well anyways it was a beautiful hot day and I was driving to work with my girl.. Hotel Del,, I decided to punch it. I got it too 120 in no time flat. but I also saw smoke coming from the hood... In other words,,I blew the engine only after a week or two of ownership,, My girl was pissed and embarrassed , and I was horrified,, but fast talking and great selling skills.. I got the dealership to replace the engine.. But guess what? I did it again.. Man.. perhaps. I needed a real muscle car ,, like a Mustang.. I have lead foot syndrome.. In other words , I can make a dodge van go fast.. But anyways.. I finally drove that special car to the ground before I joined the Navy.. and though I kept in storage and tried to repair ,it ,,money pit.. I eventually sold it and said good bye to one the best looking cars I ever owned.. To be honest.. one of these days , if I can I would like to buy another one, trick it out and drive it on the Strand or palm Ave in the South Bay, and relive my youth,. Its funny , the older and grayer I get, It seems I look for every chance to relive those days gone by,Perhaps the reason I bought a muscle car and still listen to old school jams in my car.. Great old habits never die,, even after years of education , training and living life..
Well anyways,, that is my throwback memory.. Not the best one, but looking at the car engine burning up and people gawking at me and my girl, we were dressed to impress, with a broke down car on fire.. Needless to say. I tried to make light of that day,But my wife,, reminds me.. that was one her worst days and to this day,, hates Toyota.. and to be honest.. I hate them too. because well that car.. was a money pit I spent so much time and money to try to fix a car , that was cursed from that start.. Unlike my black beauty today.. I have no issues other than I need new tires, too many burnout's,, hehe,, This is memory from the 90's and it still makes me smile when I think of that cool ride,, the first black beauty.. and those early days in San Diego where you could drive 120 plus on the freeways,, Times have changed, roads and places have changed,, back in the day.. There was less traffic, people, and crime.. Today,,, I we all see and hear about senseless deaths, hit and runs,, robberies , gang violence,,, its maddening how people don't care.. about human life... But for those Mayans and Aztecs I grew up with. Its great to see that our human spirit and love for one another is strong and contagious..
For those of us that grew up in the South Bay , when suicide hill was one lane road connecting to ib.. or the Pits ,where housing is now located , and how proctor valley road is where i used to speed my supra down the road , or telegraph canyon road.. when it was a scenic drive.. Those memories seem so close to our hearts , and how time really flies.. back in the day there was so little traffic and issues on the road,, times were simpler back in the day.. Though I don't mind the changes,, it sure made growing up during those times,, truly a special times of our lives and I'm glad I have people that have photo's , videos and blog postings recalling those days we called " the good old days.." I know we can never go back in time, But for moments at a time we can recall , smile and relive those days. Thanks my face book, friends and Mayan and Aztec classmates.. We are forever linked by the paths we crossed and the people we loved and interacted with during the greatest times of our young lives.,, Thank you all and God Bless!! Until my next blog.. Not the best one, but looking at the car engine burning up and people gawking at me and my girl, we were dressed to impress, with a broke down car on fire.. Needless to say. I tried to make light of that day,But my wife,, reminds me.. that was one her worst days and to this day,, hates Toyota.. and to be honest.. I hate them too. because well that car.. was a money pit I spent so much time and money to try to fix a car , that was cursed from that start.. Unlike my black beauty today.. I have no issues other than I need new tires, too many burnout's,, hehe,, This is memory from the 90's and it still makes me smile when I think of that cool ride,, the first black beauty.. and those early days in San Diego where you could drive 120 plus on the freeways,, Times have changed, roads and places have changed,, back in the day.. There was less traffic, people, and crime.. Today,,, I we all see and hear about senseless deaths, hit and runs,, robberies , gang violence,,, its maddening how people don't care.. about human life... But for those Mayans and Aztecs I grew up with. Its great to see that our human spirit and love for one another is strong and contagious..
For those of us that grew up in the South Bay , when suicide hill was one lane road connecting to ib.. or the Pits ,where housing is now located , and how proctor valley road is where i used to speed my supra down the road , or telegraph canyon road.. when it was a scenic drive.. Those memories seem so close to our hearts , and how time really flies.. back in the day there was so little traffic and issues on the road,, times were simpler back in the day.. Though I don't mind the changes,, it sure made growing up during those times,, truly a special times of our lives and I'm glad I have people that have photo's , videos and blog postings recalling those days we called " the good old days.." I know we can never go back in time, But for moments at a time we can recall , smile and relive those days. Thanks my face book, friends and Mayan and Aztec classmates.. We are forever linked by the paths we crossed and the people we loved and interacted with during the greatest times of our young lives.,, Thank you all and God Bless!! Until my next blog.. What do I hate Wednesday . Feb 12,2014.. Inspired by life events..
Well today is hump day , the half way point of the week and Now MY blog will discuss what I hate about things I see in life...
First off. I hate texters or phone talkers with phones to their head and their minds and eyes focused else where. There is nothing more irritating than a hesitant , distracted driver. I mean people , its tough to drive,, with speeder, rude drivers and of course emergency vehicles running around,, But I see people so engulfed they forget they are a light or blocking lanes,, Its really a pet peeve and its dangerous,, People wake up.. especially when I see or read about accidents on the road that kills.
Driving is no joke, we have enough distractions in a car , radio , navigation, radar detectors,, kids, wife,, its can be maddening.. My advice,, pay attention to the road. especially if my big ass muscle car comes roaring down the road right beside you..
Next,, cashiers carrying on long ass conversations when the line is getting longer,, and they wonder why customers are pissed, Yes ,I know the job can be tiresome,, but you applied for the job,, Pay attention to it,, Am I a jerk, perhaps,, but its always the case, when you are in a hurry , I seem to find the line.. that has a chatty cashier,,, Or when they direct you to another line, and it doesn't do better , and I get upset when the line I left starts moving faster,,, haha,, its maddening and I'm sure it happens to many of us , if not all,
Gas line, you buy your gas , and the one in front of you cant figure out, or has a bad debit , credit card,, and they are trying to make it work.. and because the lanes are so tight or small, your stuck.. or the most annoying,, 32nd base naval station, we have these sellers , trying to sell you products while your buying gas.. at times Im ok,, but alot of times .. They are just an annoyance.. It reminds me when I used to drive into TJ.. AND those vendors trying to sell stuff , or wash your windows... Just saying.. Alot of us just want to get our stuff and go on.. even buying gas or paying for goods and services.. But its the reality of life,, But I would think a navy base would be less maddening..
Traffic, hate i.. and try to avoid it,, but it seems San Diego ,Riverside, Orange County,, its all the same, more and more people are moving to the true SUNSHINE STATE,. and the roads and freeway's are more crowded.. its maddening,, especially if you have a high power muscle car that wants to run fast.. Thank goodness for my Sirius radio , or DVD , police scanner to entertain me,, or better yet blue tooth and talk to friends over my car radio,, But it still maddening to be stuck in traffic.. I cant imagine if your in a crappy car with no air conditioning and all the electronic advances.That would be maddening..
Another hate is when people park too close and bang you car. it has happened to my muscle car a couple of times, and to be honest,, it hurts, But after a couple of dinks and dents , you begin to realize,,its my daily driver and not a collector car.. So I have to expect it,, but its maddening when I double park away from cars ,, i still get some jerk off that parks next to my car..
I also hate when my kids tell me they are going to do something and of course they forget too.. That's maddening ,, so I'm the one left to take out trash., mow the lawn.. clean the cars.. I understand. Kids are kids, and life is life. But it just gets maddening on a Wednesday , when things keep happening. Like tail gaters, or speeders that try to get you to drive fast.. Its the so cal way.. and if you want to stay here or come to live here, just get used to it,, Because this is not Germany or Japan, where it seems people including police. respect what you have and what you do,, within reason,, I'm mean in Japan, i would speed daily over 120 on some freeways,, no tickets,,, unlike here.. they got me at 85+ .. well actually i was going 120+ .. but slowed down with radar went off,, but not fast enough.. oh well. another hate, when cops set speed traps , or follow you on the freeway.. I get that alot, with my radar detector going off, that's why I turn off the sound and let the reader signal me.. Its maddening , to see these things happen daily , weekly , monthly, yearly.. Its funny how people are,, especially on face book, we have the HATERS, THE TROLLS, that think crashing someones party or scene cool. That's never cool. In fact your a jerk asshole , to do that for whatever reason. I mean.. its clear most people post things for their family and friends to share happiness and good will. Not to hear about how your team has won more Superbowl's,, or My car or house is bigger than yours or your ego is bigger.. Real friends tease one another and talk trash , but they know the breaking point or where not to cross the line.. Now I know we are humans and we slip up once in awhile,, But not all the time,, So that I had to vent about trollers and haters.. If you don't like,, move on.. ok.. if not don't be surprised if your comments are deleted or better yet unfriend
Next the attention whores, its funny how alot of people post how much they drink or smoke weed or what? Really you think your impressing anyone? If anything your exposing how insecure and lacking true character.. I mean your image and perception in today's society is all you got.. If you destroy that with useless postings.. that's idiotic///. Remember the US GOVT has records of everything spying , analyzing,. judging one another. yea. I know its illegal , its not morally right. But guess what just like the NFL - NO FAIR LEAGUE.. life is the same way. You can raise your voice and preach your rights , but reality is ,, you have to get along with the society types. You have to learn how to humble oneself and be aggressive when threatened.. Nothing in life comes easy.. I know that ,, growing up in tough places, I had to earn my respect ,,get the word ,, earn,, In the streets or life ,, you have to earn your respect than demand it.. Its a tough lesson for everyone , but its so true,, No one cares you were the best student at Montgomery High School , or you were the fastest guy in Boot Camp, or you were the Manager or supervisor in the Marines, In life , your actions , your skills and your ability to convince others your are worthy and capable of doing the job is what people care about.. but its a tough thing for alot of us veterans, Why? Because all throughout our careers we have been in charge an used to having things our way.. Its a lesson alot of veterans are struggling with , including myself,, Thank goodness for Music , dancing , working out and My muscle car ,, and of course family,, they keep me busy enough to not worry about the jerks out there.. sometimes called " horrible bosses.." Enough on that..
Lastly thoughts to live by,, Don't worry about others, I know some of us get concerned about what others think,but bottom line, its what you think and feel.. Besides pleasing your wife and kids is more important than someone you haven't seen in years or ever!! Face book is an out let its an instrument to share your thoughts , ideas , and other matters for family and true friends.. Like i said,, if someone teases you too much or insults you, delete them.. I have and I will continue too , and they font like it.. then fuck off. who needs you.. I know those are harsh words, But like life,, at times you have to stand your ground and be true to those that are true to you.. To my many family and Friends that sometimes wonder about me.. I'm ok.. Yes, I can be mysterious , I can be weird , agitating , funny, shocking, but most of all I'm Swell Mel,, The one and only and all of you need to be yourself no matter what? I mean, Life is too short to pretend , because when your exposed , it makes you look stupid.. As for me.. I have many moods and feelings that I share on a daily basis.. Its the curse of being so thoughtful and wanting to share my ideas. Its not the greatest skill to have , because at times it interferes with whats important in life.. Like family issues and such.. But like everyone in life, we are all learning and adjusting to survive in this world. or better yet strive in this world.. Because who just wants to survive. We want to have a nice home , with nice things and wear nice clothes .. Its what life is about.. Not begging , or stealing or what to make ends meet. For those of you that are doing well in life I respect you and and admire you,,For those struggling , keep the faith,never give up and always look for the good in people, Because there is alot of good people , you just need to seek them out.. Those are my Tuesday's thoughts to live by. I hope they help you go on with today and this week.. If anything . Just think about your family and what they mean to you, before doing any hasty unwanted acts that you will regret.. Reminders are useful in life and at times we need forums like face book, blogs, twitter, news, shows to keep our spirits going. Life is not easy,but together we shall overcome.. !! Life of the Party - Inspired by family..
Life of the party, yes,, I have always been labeled that, and at times , I consider it a curse? Why because like so many others that can go to parties and just relax and mingle.. Me.. I get the attention or the aggravation to be asked to sing , or dance , or do comedy skits, or tell stories.. Well I must admit I enjoy it, but all the time? It can be cumbersome , bothersome and yes , irritating.. I mean.. I at times just want to chill , be quiet, But if I do that .People ,family wonder whats wrong with him? Really. Its a tough image or perception to keep up.. But I have done it most of the time . But as I get older, the voice gets fatigued, the memory gets cloudy and the bones get sore.. At times , I just want to chill, I mean they are other attention grabbers in the family..But everyone expects me and my co hort so to speak to perform.. Its a tough role or image to maintain,, Perhaps why I don't like family parties anymore,, I know how can the most attentive grabbing person in the world,, with his blogs, posting , and videos clips,, say.. I'm sick and tired of the attention .. Maybe not the attention , but the expectations the family has on me.. Its ok.. Perhaps it another phase or cycle in my life. Mid life crisis modes , or just finally getting pooped out.. Rest .. maybe.. I took a brief one from face book, But it seems I'm back in the mode.. Yes.. I get requests for more video's and Before this week is up I have a couple more dance routines to share ,, But for the most part.. I really want to chill this year.. If that's possible, I mean I;m older , grayer , heavier than years gone by.. It seems it so hard to stay in shape and be at you best ,,, But I do, and I will continue too, and my side kicks you know who you are . Just bear with me.. because I have a lifetime of parties and gatherings with the family.. Its just right now,, it would be nice , not to be expected to perform.. But chances are. I will and chances are I will perform like I usually do,,, Its my curse , I created when i decided to show the family , what I can do,, My fault.. I should of kept in the closet so to speak.. Oh well,,, Life of party.. it has been my deal my whole life.. and I know as long as I live and such.. I will be expected to be the life of the party ..My point . Is this. just once in awhile,, My sidekicks,, take over and be the show.. and just let me be the side kick,, once in awhile?? Just a thought... ? If not,, Its ok,,, because anyone or everyone that knows me.. well.. Swell Mel loves to entertain. even when he's not in the mood.. Its the actors curse.. We aim to please.. But for now,, I'm just saying.. Being the life of the party is what I am.. and whatever issues and such that come with it.. is my doing.. What a sensational Sunday.. Its a nice and peaceful day in SO CAL.. I see the Sun shining through and the neighbors ding yard yard or working in their garages. Its a traditional setting in my neighbor hood , I usually clean my garage or detail my truck or muscle car.. Its like a relaxing time for me.. a laid back Sunday after a nice ride though Ortega highway here in Riverside - orange county, its simply a scenic ride I recommend to all my family and friends to do,, and if they like I would make the drive with them. Its a spiritual Sunday, because I truly relax my mind of all the trials and tribulations of life and take a moment a day in the week to recharge my senses before the crazy week starts up again.. We all know Mondays are always manic and crazy, start of a new week fro work, school or whatever you do.. Its seems nothing goes right on Mondays.. traffic , work issues , school assignments,, it seems Mondays just wear everyone down..That's why on Sunday. well when we had NFL football.. that was alot of our relaxing times.. Watching football, morning noon and night and eating junk food and drinking beers, or soda's or what.. Its always my splurge day. where i eat more and drink more than any other day of the week.. Maybe that's why Mondays are such a drag.. its a recovery day when you have to work or school.. Its a tough day Monday is.. That's why Sundays are so important to get in that enjoyment day , relaxing day and just prepare yourself for the upcoming week ahead.. Sunday now.. Is sharing day, I really enjoy reading and watching all the posts from my friends about their accomplishments, or achievements or trips made.. or what a family or friend did.. Its what makes face book worthwhile,, Not the trolls or haters that have to say negative things about their status or postings, I know freedom of speech and such.. But we also have the freedom to delete your comments or better yet unfriend you.. To be honest, Its doesn't matter what people think about me or yourself,, because what matters is what you feel about yourself and your spiritual feelings.. Those that don't have that spirit , are usually unhappy, unsatisfied,, angry.. divorced , separated,, etc... In life,, you have to adjust to be flexible with loves ones , your not always going to agree , or like what love ones do,, But its called unconditional love. you accept , you adapt and you give and take in order to keep love alive.. Love just doesn't happen , it has to be cared for on a daily , weekly ,monthly and yearly basis.. If a give and take and love and hate relationship at times.Because they know what bothers you or makes you happy , they know how to push the buttons to make you angry and what to do to make you happy.. So .. its important to share your thoughts with them and keep your thoughts with them. Nothing in life just happens,, Things happen for a reason.. and we all must live and learn to deal with it.. I mean, we are always going to meet prettiest or sexier, or funnier people in our lives, but the true love is forever and lasts because both of you make it last.. Those distractions, those temptations are just that.tests of of hearts and souls and we must deal with forever! Its bull shit , if you think you will never feel these emotions. because we are humans,,we are always going to attract people to one another, but its your true character and belief in family love an faith in God that ultimately dictates how your life goes.. I don't want my divorced or separated friends to feel bad.. Its nothing to be ashamed of ,, Hell , I have seen marriages that are nothing more than a charade , just to pretend, and keep the kids happy .. But you know what? Kids are smarter than that.. If your happy,, truly happy,, they feel it . and if your not, they feel that too.. So my moral of the story today.. Is this..

I'm a loud , proud and arrogant guy that loves fast cars and living a fast life.. I'm a lover of life and I love being around positive people with a variety of likes.. I','m a liver of life. and don't stick to one type of activity to make me happy.. If it sounds good i will listen.. Rock, hip hop ,country ,rap ,, salsa, reggae.. The same with people , if your a good person that doesn't have hatred towards man kind or what , then we can hang out. Its what I believe and try to portray that for my family.. Sure , we see idiots from all races, But I call the idiot , a idiot ,,, and don't label that with their race.. Am I right? Well, I cant change how you feel, its all on you, but I'm glad I lived in a multicultural atmosphere growing up in Oakland, Frisco, Long Beach , San Diego. because those early years , gave me a chance to enjoy all types of life styles.. low riders, surfers, the muscle car guys, the martial artists, the popping crews.. etc.. I don't apologize about how I grew or who I grew up with.. It gave me a perspective that alot of my other face book friends in isolated places cant imagine or want to . But that's ok.. I'm comfortable in my own skin. I suggest you be comfortable with your past and present associations, because its what made you who you are now.. Which is, special and important,, and please continue sharing your thoughts with beloved family and friends and together we can deal with life issues as long as God gives us,, on this precious earth!!

What a sensational Sunday.. Its a nice and peaceful day in SO CAL.. I see the Sun shining through and the neighbors ding yard yard or working in their garages. Its a traditional setting in my neighbor hood , I usually clean my garage or detail my truck or muscle car.. Its like a relaxing time for me.. a laid back Sunday after a nice ride though Ortega highway here in Riverside - orange county, its simply a scenic ride I recommend to all my family and friends to do,, and if they like I would make the drive with them. Its a spiritual Sunday, because I truly relax my mind of all the trials and tribulations of life and take a moment a day in the week to recharge my senses before the crazy week starts up again.. We all know Mondays are always manic and crazy, start of a new week fro work, school or whatever you do.. Its seems nothing goes right on Mondays.. traffic , work issues , school assignments,, it seems Mondays just wear everyone down..That's why on Sunday. well when we had NFL football.. that was alot of our relaxing times.. Watching football, morning noon and night and eating junk food and drinking beers, or soda's or what.. Its always my splurge day. where i eat more and drink more than any other day of the week.. Maybe that's why Mondays are such a drag.. its a recovery day when you have to work or school.. Its a tough day Monday is.. That's why Sundays are so important to get in that enjoyment day , relaxing day and just prepare yourself for the upcoming week ahead.. Sunday now.. Is sharing day, I really enjoy reading and watching all the posts from my friends about their accomplishments, or achievements or trips made.. or what a family or friend did.. Its what makes face book worthwhile,, Not the trolls or haters that have to say negative things about their status or postings, I know freedom of speech and such.. But we also have the freedom to delete your comments or better yet unfriend you.. To be honest, Its doesn't matter what people think about me or yourself,, because what matters is what you feel about yourself and your spiritual feelings.. Those that don't have that spirit , are usually unhappy, unsatisfied,, angry.. divorced , separated,, etc... In life,, you have to adjust to be flexible with loves ones , your not always going to agree , or like what love ones do,, But its called unconditional love. you accept , you adapt and you give and take in order to keep love alive.. The San Diego Chargers..2014.. season preview..
First , great season, when most of the the fans thought just having a winning season,,,, an play consistent football ,, was going to be the biggest obstacle,, Sure they got into the play offs, thank goodness for suck up.. I know that the correct spelling.. but what the heck,hehe
The awards and accolades Rivers earning comeback player of the year? Now I'm not knocking Rivers.. but he wasn't injured and recovering from a injury... I always though that that award was reserved fro players coming back from major surgery.. ala Adrian Peterson.. not from being a average or mediocre player? Just my take.. No bashing. If I were giving the award I feel Ryan Mathews.. broke his collar bone last year and having the best running back season since the LT days.. he didn't even get one vote ? I'm puzzled by that..
Next.. Keenan Allen.. Rookie of the Year. for sure.. But whats amazing he saved our season, not rivers , Mathews or gates. We needed him as a threat and the reason... Mathews had bigger lanes to run through or gates getting more catching opportunities... He was a life saver and great find.. Thank goodness for his slow 4.7 4o yd run in the NFL COMBINE. You see stats can lie,, I know he's faster than that and he's stronger and smarter than those ridiculous tests they do at those events..
Lastly, the defense played better than expected,, but they need help.. !!!
Now next season we will play the NFC WEST BEST division.. World Champion Seahawks,49ers, Cardinals , Rams.. all very talented on offense and all play smash mouth defense,, If the chargers go 2-2 ,THAT would be an accomplishment.. then of course we play Denver twice, Chiefs, and raiders, 6 games.. if they can go 3-3 or better will take some work,, Because the raiders did beat the bolts handily and the chiefs games were high scoring last second wins and the broncos games were dog fights splitting two games.. It wont be easy next year,
Why?
The defense is not very good,, or consistent.. the bolts need a pass rush or rusher. freeney was brought in to do that , but got hurt , and to be honest is up there in age,, Teo's struggled early and late in the season. He's never out of place , but doesn't have the physical speed or power to make stops,, I know we expect alot,, well he was a high round draft choice.. he needs to step up.. The fact he had off season surgery,, makes me wonder about him? He has a off season to rehab and get stronger.. Lets hope he does..
Next our corners are inconsistent,, Marshall and Wright, play great at times, but during cruch time, they are beat often.. and the free agent cox.. he's a bust.. and expensive.. give him a shot to compete this preseason.. and hope wright gets better and marshall is a nice back up plan. But the bolts need to get a physical corner like seattle's richard sherman.. and if that corner can double as kick returner that's even better. The kicking game is missing a good returner..
Rivers and company were good until the red zone, why? Offensive line getting shved around. Gates not being the guy anymore,, We need Green to be more involved and we need to use Mathew's more in those situations.. Hence , find another blocker or use two tight end blockers to help Mathew's score tds.. I like brown but he's old, and not that threat.. We need for red zone scores.. We need to draft a late round back to be a true backup for Mathew's and keep Mathew's on his toes. Nothing scares another player , like another hungry guy wanting to play.. Fear is good and the chargers need that threat on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball..
Take into account we will have new offensive coordinator.. not just new , but first time as a coordinator at any level.. We also have young management and head coach. They will be tested..
Mistakes I saw.. Coach Mccoy was too conservative and gutsy on some of the games they lost last year.. 9-7 could have been 11-5 or better if better play calling , or decision making.. McCoy needs to impose his style and I 'm wondering what that may be.. He no longer has the running guru and short passing coordinator in Whisenhunt..What are the chargers going to do? The bolts were a time consuming team , but they also lacked the long ball that Nervous Norv made famous. I'm not saying throw bombs all the time. But you need that threat to help the passing and running games.. Those are issues and concerns that most Charger fans are concerned about..
Last thoughts.. I wasn't please with the defensive calls , but if you don't have that fast or hard hitting line backer or corners , its hard to be aggressive. The Chargers need to address their defensive issues, before drafting any offensive players, and take a look at free agents.. The Bolts will be better next year, but they will play a harder schedule and have to play more consistent on both sides of the ball.
The red zone.. offense needs score more ,, and the defense needs to get more pressure on qb and get turnovers.. Mccoy needs to impose his coaching style and get rid of the players that are not.. producing..
Whitehurst... has thrown how many passes ? Sorenson is the future and will scare Rivers more than clip board Jesus? If Whitehurst is so good at coordinating or play calling.. Hire him a quarterback coach..not as a over paid back up.. Just the bottom line..
Ronnie Brown.. - He shows flashes f greatness, but he is not consistent enough to scare other defenses or challenge Mathew's. We need to draft a young stud.. late round.. please.
Gates and Green in more formations..
Woodhead is a stud and needs to use more often in the run game,, I rather see him run than Ronnie Brown.. He always makes yards and is very smart..
If the chargers can get production from the new draft picks , like they did last year with Allen, Fluker and Teo, then this team will be better. But it wont be easy , we will hope Rivers plays another consistent year and doenst return to old turnover Rivers, and Mathews will be a tough runner and play another season at full strength.. The defense needs to get a pass rusher and hope freeney has a year or two left to teach a newcomer.. and if all the coaching changes get in the same page and produce another fun season.. As the charger fans have realized.. this team has been very unpredictable. They play like Superbowl contenders one week and bums the next..

But if he can gain another playoff entry and makes some noise.. Then Coach of the year is possible..? But I rather see a team that correct its weaknesses and play consistent football.. and who knows?? It took 4 years to make Seattle a SUPER BOWL POWER HOUSE,,, and I feel it will take just as long or longer if ever with Coach McCoy.. Pete Carrol is a risk taker and river boat gambler.. He takes chances with late round draft picks and Free agents and motivates them into believing.. That's the key to coaching,, Getting guys to buy into what your thinking and getting it done.. Seattle set the format..Now the Chargers and the rest of copy cat league to follow or least try to..

Feel Good Friday.. Inspired by SO CAL LIFESTYLE..
FEEL GOOD FRIDAY.. INSPIRED BY THE SO CAL LIFESTYLE...
LIFE in So cal.. its a a wonderful feeling, for many of us that work live and enjoy the life.. Its really is,, Sure its one of the most expensive places to live.. Mortgage ,rent, food ,gas, entertainment is one of the highest in the USA nation,, But the sunny weather and the sights of the beaches, mountains and valleys , rivers and lakes are like no other.. In the Valley where I live I get to see parachuters, balloonists,off road racers , bikes and trucks,, are fun to watch,, and of course driving my muscle car through the many empty roads here in Temecula valley makes it a fun place to drive. My favorite routine Sunday drive is Ortega highway en route to Orange County or laguna beach.. is my favorite relaxing drive Sure, I drive faster than my wife likes.. that's why I get up early sunday morning and do the drive.. and boy do I enjoy it.. Mostly ,, listening to my motor or exhaust growling as I rev my engine through the winding and scenic drive that is Ortega highway.. If you are ever in the Lake Elsinore area,, take the route .. its really a site to behold,, at the half way point, theres a hang out point were you can see the whole lake, great picture taking op and rest point before finishing off your drive.. But anyways.. like I said , Living and working in SOCAL is so much fun.. I recall my navy days,, just over looking the San Diego harbor day or night is one of the most beautiful and inspiring things to see and experience.. So cal life is it.. I know Because I have lived in miserable weather Washington state, and in Lonely Pensacola Florida. not the Florida people thin about. Its no Miami beach in so many ways.. and I have lived in gang land Oakland and San Francisco.. and overseas in Japan.. Though Japan was one of the most enjoyable places I have ever lived.. But living in America in Socal , with a great big house and all my toys. including my dream muscle car ,, is like o other. I know .. what a arrogant , and proud person.. but you know what,, thats so cal, we are arrogant and proud,, we all think the weather and areas we visit is the best in the world, and I know at times, We get frustrated with the traffic , rude drivers and scary cops,,, we get upset and pissed., But after getting home and enjoying our big screen TVs and or sitting in out nicely cared for front or back yards.. we see the fruits of our hard work.. Its wonderful and its peaceful.. Nothing beats the life we live and we are proud to post on face book,, while our other family and friends suffer through one of the worst winters ever recorded,, We fret over a few hours of rain.. ah.. what a life? But its our life and we love it, Because we can.. If anything the most comfortable thing about living in great weather, is we can do things,, wash cars, detail them. do gardening, take walks.bike rides. cruising to the beaches or mountains.. I know we all take it for granted, because we are blessed.. But that's ok. because we are.. We are the ones that decided to live here or blessed our parents decided to move here or stay here.. Its funny. when I was alot younger I always wanted to get out of SO CAL and see the world.. hence I joined the Navy,, and I have done it, Now,, I realize, there is no place like home,, SO CAL -- is the place to be , especially when you have the greatest wife and kids around.. They support and love what i d and I Love them dearly.. Which makes loving life so much more meaningful when family loves you and protects you.. Feel good friday.. it should be feel good every day in SO CAL.. its a life style and a way of life ,many of our family and friends that live in Colorado, Washington state, Texas , even Florida. and around the world envy what we have,, but wont admit it.. Hey.. everyone is proud of where they live .. But those that live , and love SO CAL. realizes that this is it.. We have Professional Sports teams, we have the Entertainment capital .Hollywood... We have amusement parks,, the best beaches, bars, restaurants.. and of course laid back people that enhance the scene.. I know, their are the haters, the road ragers, and bad apples, But don't let a few idiots ruin your life.. or feelings about SO CAL. this is the place to work and live and don't you forget that!! I know .. what a arrogant , and proud person.. but you know what,, thats so cal, we are arrogant and proud,, we all think the weather and areas we visit is the best in the world, and I know at times, We get frustrated with the traffic , rude drivers and scary cops,,, we get upset and pissed., But after getting home and enjoying our big screen TVs and or sitting in out nicely cared for front or back yards.. we see the fruits of our hard work.. Its wonderful and its peaceful.. Nothing beats the life we live and we are proud to post on face book,, while our other family and friends suffer through one of the worst winters ever recorded,, We fret over a few hours of rain.. ah.. what a life? But its our life and we love it, Because we can.. If anything the most comfortable thing about living in great weather, is we can do things,, wash cars, detail them. do gardening, take walks.bike rides. cruising to the beaches or mountains.. I know we all take it for granted, because we are blessed.. But that's ok. because we are.. We are the ones that decided to live here or blessed our parents decided to move here or stay here.. Its funny. when I was alot younger I always wanted to get out of SO CAL and see the world.. hence I joined the Navy,, and I have done it, Now,, I realize, there is no place like home,, SO CAL -- is the place to be , especially when you have the greatest wife and kids around.. They support and love what i d and I Love them dearly.. Which makes loving life so much more meaningful when family loves you and protects you.. Feel good friday.. it should be feel good every day in SO CAL.. its a life style and a way of life ,many of our family and friends that live in Colorado, Washington state, Texas , even Florida. and around the world envy what we have,, but wont admit it.. Hey.. everyone is proud of where they live .. But those that live , and love SO CAL. realizes that this is it.. We have Professional Sports teams, we have the Entertainment capital .Hollywood... We have amusement parks,, the best beaches, bars, restaurants.. and of course laid back people that enhance the scene.. I know, their are the haters, the road ragers, and bad apples, But don't let a few idiots ruin your life.. or feelings about SO CAL. this is the place to work and live and don't you forget that!! For my many blog fans and family and friends,, when you feel down and out and need something to smile about.. Take a moment and read the over 500 blogs listed since 2010.. " the source..." AND enjoy the many sights and sounds I have noted for myself and others to enjoy.. if anything I help myself and others enjoy the lifestyle ,, that many can't imagine or want to ... Throwback thursday. one of my best days as a teenager. Mustang Boss drive.. Inspired by memories..
The Mustang Boss drive.. Inspired by memories...
As a youth , I was honored to see the classic cars of the day. Chevys , Fords, Mopar, etc.. My elder brother owned some classics , But my friend , good friend ,, party dude.. Had this Mustang Boss King of the road Car.. It was cool light Blue and it had the simple Muscle Car lines.. No fancy rims.. or excessive junk. It was clean basic muscle.. and How I wanted to drive that car.. I finally got a chance on this nice beautiful day in South San Diego, its was after school , the guys and girls were all out ,, enjoying the best weather in the world.. Then my buddy said drive my girl home,, Of course I said yea and it didn't hurt the girl was one the prettiest girls in school.. Why ? Because she would tell you and anyone else that listened.. I know kind of a turn off. But they way she looked , she turned on more guys than any car or video game that was around.. hehe.. well back to my memory.. Well We got in and I was so pumped up.. She said you know how to drive this beast? I said hell yeah. and Boy did I push it down.. that is the pedal.. And off we went down Palm Ave by Montgomery High School, I think I did a burn out. even though I didn't intend to do it. But of course I took credit. She was laughing , giggling , like a gorgeous well built teenage girl can.. Lets just say that joy ride , so to speak ride home was fun and furious,, She smiled and jumped out with her tight jeans and tight blouse , while flashing her pearly whites and blond long hair and said see ya.. Oh yea I said,, I burned out one more time and hurried back down the 5. opps I mean Palm Ave,, ok,, so I took liberties and went another 5 minutes driving around at the time My dream Car.. I so wanted that car, and said many times,, before I die I will get one.. Its funny, how times, taste and thoughts changed,, I never did get a muscle car or a Mustang... until I was done with my Military Career.. Now I have a MOPAR.. instead of that Mustang. but Never say never. I mean maybe one day.. when I'm older and no more kids to feed , and just wifey and me. Maybe I will sell my van and get that classic American Muscle to park alongside my modern day American Muscle Car.. But for now,, I'm ok with memories and pictures of those days gone by. Those were the day. Young and Dumb and full of fun. and on that particukar sunny day in South San Diego with my Aztec classmates, I was honored to drive one of the fastest and most thrilling muscle cars I have driven.. I mean the speed and how that car seem like i was floating on air was amazing and still brings goose bumps just thinking about it. I mean that's how you find out early in life , if you love going fast or not, Or realize Muscle cars are the bomb.. I always thought Muscle Cars would last forever,, But we all know it died out.. Mustang continue on, but they made some ugly Muscle Cars during that age, Because of the gas prices and the changing of the times.. Now its kind of a revival.. But soon it will fade and only a few Muscle Cars will survive,, I understand that , that's why I'm enjoying my ride . because one day it will become a classic. and someone else will write about today's Muscle cars and how those cars inspired them.. its the cycle of life.. Everything , must come to an end.. But the memories are in my mind forever,. and I'm glad to share then with you on throw back Thursday.. take care and drive safe..
