THE SOURCES THOUGHTS ON HOMELAND SECURITY.

   First off , Good Morning Everyone, another wonderful day in Life. If you live in SOCAL,.. know as southern California,,, its a great sunny day.. If you live in Seattle.. you know the routine,,, Yes, I miss my Seattle days ,, It was one of the greatest things to ride that ferry,,, with coffee and just enjoying the scenic boat ride into Seattle each day...
  Ok, enough of that.. Its Homeland security,, time, We need that more than ever.. With threats from ISIS and other terrorist groups,, threatening malls around America. and other public places.. But the Govt plans or lack of ., plans for funding these important measures.. People lets get real..if I was a terrorist , I'm salivating over the fact,, America is even debating this,, Security more than ever is on the minds of people, because it effects our lives, whether its Internet security, identity theft , home invasions or car thefts.. Its a serious issue and America needs to take notice.. By even announcing these things make me sick and as Americans it should anger you too.. I really feel too much info can hurt ones safety and security issue's,, That's why I warn folks about posting when they're not home , or when  they are home.. because the Internet is trolling society, with low life's and crooks looking to invade ones space.. I know its for my friends,, but trolls know how to infiltrate and join groups to get hold of you,, I know ,, I don't care,, but just a word of caution.!We hear about many news tragedies, of people hurt by face book postings, stalkings and the such.. But as humans with a almost juvenile ad naive look at life, we continue to post for recognition, for acceptance, for our own self centered thoughts,, I mean,, its cool,, we all want to be loved and accepted, even from people we have lost touch with.. How many times have you lost connections and just reunite,, through face book. Its a moody thing, At times we are happy among ourselves, happy for others,, and then other times, we hate whats going on with our lives or the circumstances.. But we like addicts continue to post , blog and make ourselves available for scrutiny , comments bad and good.. Because we are longing to be loved..?!
   Now back to homeland security,, the government and the media, need to work together to protect  ourselves,, Reports about no security funding is not good info to put out,, I'm sure the haters are planning as we speak..?? I miss the old days when the public wasn't exposed to so much info.. It made protecting the nation and our military easier..!! Now,, everything is on line,, like when ships are returning from deployments , and such.. But its the sign of the times,, but its important to protect our citizens,, and America's government needs that chance so all this talk of no funding is ridiculous and dangerous... Lets get this done and work on other issues that are pending.. 
  BOTTOMLINE- HOMELAND SECURITY IS A NEEDED MEASURE AND THESE FOLKS PROTECTING THE BORDERS, AIRPORTS, MALLS, GOVT OFFICIALS,, and the public need these trained professionals to keep us safe,, get a plan.. implement adapt and overcome it and lets take care of the terrorist and all enemy's of the state.. Its imperative and its needed now,, !!
  The VEGAS ROAD RAGE MURDER,,
   First off, its commendable the  mother who was killed by her so called neighbor hood friend, tried to help him straigten up,, he was or is a troubled kid. but the fact she and her son went looking for him,, In my humble opinion , was reckless, dangerous and stupid,, and it cost her life.! I know she claims or the son claims,, the guy threatened her,, but dont we all make threats or say things,, we don't actually mean.. out of anger. !!This was a troubled young man who said things,, I'm sure when when we were young would have said or have said.. Its the emotional stage of our lives, being a teenager,. as much fun I had, I also hated the mood swings, the growing pains, the emotional roller coaster rides of relationships and finding out who I was.. For alot of us, it was a troubling time, and though I blog about the great memories of my youth.. to be honest, it would be cool to relive those days,, mine the emotional instability,, because that in itself made it a difficult time in our lives,, 
  bottomline advice: If you get into a conflict on the road. Just let it go! I mean,, who knows what the other person has , guns, knives,, etc, or what has he or she gone through, break up , firing, or death in the family,, I mean, why chance it? Its a crazy world..I know I have had road rage issues with people and i choose to let it go,, and so far it has just went away or driven away.. Why? because with tinted windows and such,, you don't know if theres more than one person in the car, or they have weapons,, in the car.. I mean if someone is bold enough to tail gate you or side swipe you or follow you, to me that shows that have something for you,, so to speak.. Don't risk it.. !
 THE OSCARS AWARDS.. To me , its a boring show anyways, and for the actors or liberals or whta may making comments , hey, its your fundamental right to freedom of speech,, but for goodness sake,, investigate and understand what your saying,, I'm just saying just because you can imitate others, and read lines and understand writers ideas, doesn't make you an authority on politics or such..In the Navy we call it stick to your own pay grade, in other words, stick to what you know.. We all have our expertise and knowledge on things,, explore that and embellish that, But if you do venture into political or religious views, make sure you really understand what your saying or stating, Because anything said or posted will be investigated , will be explored,, etc until forever,, that's why be careful what you post.. perception is reality in today's world,, once your image or perception is destroyed,, its hard to get it back. People are fickle and often times easily swayed by what they read or hear,, But I implore everyone to investigate to think critically about anything or everything you read.. Its your duty to read and understand peoples thoughts and ideas,, and its important to develop your own.. I know I lay out alot of thoughts to my blog readers, some Conservative, others controversial,, and some disturbing,, but that's the life I have lived and I'm sure you have too.. Its life, everyone has to go through it,, but its not a race to the finish line,, instead it should be a journey where we live, discover and experience the ups and downs, the trial and tribulation's, of life.. It whats makes living wonderful.. to see how others are doing and of course how you are doing..?!
  Bottmline.. Actors,, are potful influence's to society,, often times we think the character they portray is them in someways, and because we spend money to watch them, and we see their work,, and even understand their work.. we feel we know them? But we really have no true idea how they are,, I mean the media feeds us on  they are,, we see glimpses of how they are,, ?But unless we really see them on a daily basis and interact with them we really don't know  them.. Heck ,we barely know our family and friends,, to some extent and we expect we know our rock stars or movie stars? Its a silly conclusion we allude to??But as emotional and almost juveniles thinking we have  as we think, it happens and that's why we are humans,, our logic,, despite our education, our skills and critical thinking abilities,, we still have the inner working of a animal. the ego, the Hunter mentality,, we often resort to those thoughts when we feel threatened or embarrassed.. or what? Its our nature , our human nature and because of that,, that's why we have debates on religion, on politics and yes even sports,, we will continue to argue , debate and have our own opinions, that really don't matter? In other words,, "opinions and excuses are like ass holes , we all have them and they all Stink!!"

The SOURCE'S EMERGENCY KITS .. IN CASE OF DISASTER..

THE SOURCES EMERGENCY KITS ,IN CASE OF DISASTER ..

First of all we never know when a earthquake's , tornado's , or any other natural disaster can take place, for me,, I like to keep items in my car , like:

In My car:
1) First aid kit -- You can but a Justin in case one for under 10.00 at walmart.
Emergency kits - with flares - street markers , cones once again walmart has kits for sale,
2) I also have a battery car jumper - Schumacher - I bought it at Walmart for under 50.00 dollars
3) I also keep a back  pack with peanuts, or crackers , and some bottled water. 
4) I also keep a lighter and matches.. I also have a light Navy blanket , .. in case I get cold..
5) I carry flashlights.. and spare batteries..  whats the use of flashlight if you don't have batteries.
6) I carry pocket knives / leathermen, you never know when you 
7) one of things my dad taught me is always drive your car with a full tank, because in case of emergencies,, chances are,, whatever gas you have in your car.. is all you gonna have under a natural disaster or civil unrest. 

I know it seems like a lot of stuff to have in a car,, but its what I do.. Call me paranoid or just call me prepared.. 

In mu House;
1) Have storage of supplies- like water , can foods, survivor food. like sardines, vienna hot dogs, cup of soups.. etc
2) Have flash lights and batteries.. 
3) Know where you natural gas shut off valves..
4) Battery operated radios, in case of emergency,, that may the only ways of communication.

If or when a disaster hits,, your meats have to be eaten first , because of spoilage, that's why you need matches , or lighters,,, and it always a good to have a small barbecue set like a propane style one to help you cook that food.. If you have a fire place , that's good too,

Water sources, if need be
1) drink water from water heater, theres gallons of water in there ..
2) the toilet bowl,, if you haven't used cleaners,, i know it sounds gross, but if you have to,,you must ..
3) you can also place plastic bags around tree leaves around one;s house,, or yard,, water will collect from condensation.. its not much but its something.. 
4) last,, is drink your own urine, but more than a day of drinking that can cause kidney damage..

Food sources, 
1) eat meats first because they spoil fast if electricity is gone, 
2) eat can foods, like sardines, soups, breads, 
3) if need be, shoot the animals around you,, it might sound gross, but like I said, if your life depends on it,, so be it.. 
4) cheeses, can last a long time,, and if need be, dip them in wax,, or melted crayons , to keep them preserved,, like i said it sounds gross but if you want to survive,, you must do it.. 

Having isopropyl alcohol, sardines, lighters,matches, ant acids and toothpaste as well as lemons can be pivotal items to have,, as well as crayons.. 

Sardines can be used as candles,, 
how?
1) open can 
2) find a mop or string - dip it in the sardines oil.. 
3) Light string and , you have a candle that can last 5 hours.. and you can still eat the sardines,, after wards.

isopropyl acohol - use for heating .

1) Have a paint can empty of course 
2) take toilet paper ,,, 
3) Place toilet paper in another paint can.. preferably smaller than the big can..
4) Place the alcohol all over the the toilet paper,, make sure it soaks the whole paper.
5) Light it,, and ,boom you have heat ,, for you or heating food.. but be careful..

or you can take a soda can.. 
1) Cut it in half
2) Punch holes at the bottoms.. 
3) tape cans together, fill with isospropyl alcohol.. 
4) light it , and you have a instant heating source , like the ones you see at buffet tables.. warming foods.. 

9 volt batteries can be used for:
1) start a fire , by placing against flammable materials,, 
2) it can also charge a cell phone, by taking a cell phone charger for the car and place on point onto the terminals an using a quarter to activate the other terminal.. 

lastly if you attacked by tear gas,, 

the ant acids taken to fight off effects , or are used to wash your eyes clean,
the tooth paste can be used to eliminate the effects too, stick up nose , or ears , 
and lemons are used to alleviate the affects of tear gas.. I know it sounds silly , but by having these things could make a difference in living or dying. 

But most all be calm and be ready for everything and anything, By having supplies in your house and weapons,, it could help protect your life and the life of others that are important to you.. 

And remember the rules of 3's.. 
you can live about 3 days without water 
3 weeks with out food,
 3 minutes without air.. so prepare yourself.. 

I know it sounds like a lot to collect. but you can just start building your kit a payday at a time, but don't wait too long. because like I said.. a natural disaster can happen anytime.It would be terrible , you slowed building your kit because you were too cheap to start or complete one.. But to each is own.. But I',m from the school of hard knocks, where I want to be prepared for everything and anything.. 

Oh.. one more thing keep valuables , guns and etc in fire proof safes,, once again,, those things could protect your life, if and when shit happens,,, And always teach family about safety and how to shut off gas valves or the proper uses of fire extinguisher's,, Whats the use of that tool, if you don't know how to use it!!?/ 

On this Manic Monday ,just something to think about and plan.. or not? I mean,, If you figure, I 'm ok,, if shit happens,, I 'm ok.. with what I have,, and deal with whatever.. But I',m a fighter, and I want to live,, as long as I can.. even if its stressful and scary.. But to each is own, if anything I made you aware,, of things that can, will or might happen at anytime.. SAN DIEGO - PADRES OR CHARGER TOWN ? INSPIRED BY THEIR ACTIONS..
  Well first off , the Padres are making historic moves to be a contender this year. I mean , for years the padres have been the also rans of the national league west, the laughing stocks.. so to speak.. Sure  great baseball park, but a lousy team.. But now times have changed and for the better. The Padres want to be a San Diego entity.. The Chargers are bullying , teasing , threatening the city about leaving town .. To me, that doesn't sound like  team interested in staying in San Diego.. and do you blame them.. its been 13 years and counting,, with all the task forces, thousand of dollars wasted on consultants and studies on where to build and such..
 The real deal is this the people of San Diego have spoken.. they rather support the padres, that has a new state of the art venue and provide a more family oriented environment. Football as fun as it is.. at the Q - it can be dangerous , because of the thugs, drunks and bad asses that think starting fights or cursing at one another is cool.. Hey, I'm no saint when I watch football, I can curse with the best of them. But when the cops make more of their arrest at football games,, that's telling you something.. I know alot of people like the large parking lot,, but it also is a dangerous place to police and a dangerous place to park your car.. or truck or what.. Anyone who has attended games knows that and buyer beware?? The chargers don't have the favor the fans or the voters,, they need 2/3 majority vote to create the ballot measure to approve funding for the chargers.. come on people, anyone that has lived in San Diego,, knows,, any project in San Diego,, is always a fight,, Heck the chargers need a airport , more than stadium for the rich,, I mean do the math... very conservative estimates.. 
   60,000  fan x 100 a ticket  = 6,000,000 a game
6,000,000 x 8 games = 48,000,000 a season ( not counting the preseason games) 
48,000,000 x 20 seasons = 96,000,000 

jerseys , t shirts , souvenirs sales -= $$$
NFL TV  money = in the millions.. $$$ 

So just think about it? Do we fans want to fund a team that makes this kind of money? For me,, I like watching football, but paying more taxes ,, Just a reminder California pays the highest taxes for everything.. And you want to pay more for a team that had won nothing!! Yes that mean , but its the truth. Sure LT provided a nice spark,,, But the chargers for the past 50 years have failed when it mattered most,, case in point expansion teams Seattle. Tampa bay , St Louis, Baltimore , and the aints, have all won Superbowl's before the 50 year history of the chargers,, Hey the truth hurts, but that's what alot of people fans or non fans which are many,, feel about this team. Lets not forget the chargers were ripping off the city for the ticket guarantee for years.. Not cool, in my honest opinion , especially their are roads and bridges that need care in San Diego. and Like i said the city needs a airport , more than a state of the art stadium that will only be used by the chargers and Aztec's, and maybe a few high school championship games,, ok, add some soccer games or rock concerts, but its still not enough usage for the amount of money being spent.. 
 Bottom line. The San Diego Chargers and the city council are egotistical , arrogant, self centered people who wont budge off their desires and because of that. i don't expect in less than one year find a plan,, to build , fund and finally get this done.. Case in point the la deal looks very tempting because ,who wouldn't want to play in a state of the art stadium.. ? Of course the players want to,, and to think they care about San Diego,, most of them live elsewhere and they secretly hate the place they play in.. I mean , common sense, you go to these state of the art venues, Dallas, new york, San Francisco,, etc.. of course they feel the need,, but the city council continues to drag their feet, I mean 13 years is long enough,, and now to start up another task force.,, for what> What are the plans?, where the funding come form? The taxpayers,, good luck on that one? The people of San Diego deserve better respect than the chargers are giving them. Threatening making demands, etc.. has only turned off fans and tax payers alike.. If the chargers really want to make this happen.. They should have a plan and funding structure in place.. How much will the chargers pay? I say the pay at least 50 % or more, why? because they will benefit from it ,, Look at the numbers I stated earlier.. 
  The thing is with a new stadium,, they will have luxury box revenue which is in the millions of dollars added to the 60,000 - 70,000 tickets sold. add the TV revenue and if and when Superbowl's are played they will make many millions more from the NFL experiences,,,, Its hard for me to fathom,, the chargers don't have money to shell out.. for a stadium.. Sure , the Spanos family are rich , and maybe not as rich as the Jerry Jone's, and such, but they are making money nevertheless, and to stick the fans , the taxpayers and such for a financial burden,, that is already tough on the average citizen.. does not wash well with me.. ??
  The San Diego chargers will do what they always done, which is, stick it to the fans and tax payers and they could care less about the community and what the fans want.. Bottom line,, The NFL is a business , that wants to make money ad they will support any desires of owners that want to do that.. The Chargers are set to leave,, why? Because they laying down the framework, for fan disheveling, you think the fans are going to buy tickets for a team that is considering moving .. ? The charger fans are the lame ducks.. caught in the middle from supporting or hating this team.. If and when they leave so with alot of the loyal fans. But if LA is the place,, they had their chances with NFL TEAMS.. THE CHARGERS, THE RAMS , THE RAIDERS ,, all have come and gone,,, LA is a college town that supports a winner,, and even when the LA RAIDERS winning a Superbowl,, they still coudnt sell out games,, If anything history will repeat itself.. if you don't win in LA,, the fans will spend their money elsewhere,, its the LA market,, they want to support winners,, and if the chargers move, they are competing with the LA LAKERS, DODGERS, ANGELS, BRUINS AND TROJANS who have a history of winning... Do the chargers really want that pressure? To me, good luck because if they don't win early ,, like a Superbowl. they are doomed to fail.. and that maybe a more dangerous idea to fathom.
San Diego Fans .. Are you a Padres or Charger Town, Based on reactions...on face book, and other social medias.. It seems The Padres are making better efforts to win and build a legacy with the city.. The Chargers have been teasing , threatening the fans for years.. Its getting old.. Make up your mind? The Adventures of Black Beauty- An American Muscle car - Inspired by daily events..

THE ADVENTURES OF BLACK BEAUTY -AN AMERICAN MUSCLE CAR- 
  Well its been awhile since I  have posted my adventures with the American Muscle Car,, The other day I spent a day with wifey roaming the streets of North San Diego.. One thing I noticed people when they arrive home.. don't look around, they blindly park their cars, check their mail boxes and newspaper's on their lawns and go into their homes, I mean why not,, ? But then again you should be more  aware of your surrounding's,, One of things I do is take photos of cars that are new to the block and write down their license plates,, makes and models of cars and any descriptions I may have of the driver// Why? Because you never know if that tip , the lead or info could lead to a arrest , or what.. I know it may be a little speck the window of crime, but that's how I Am.. And one of the reasons I own a radar detector, police scanner and dash cam camera's,, I see alot of idiots that tail gate me or cut in front of me.. If something goes dwon,, I want visual proof.. Well anyways.. back to my adventures.. One of them was cruising at 120 mph on the nascar 15 ,, my detector,, or fuzz buster.. went off , the lidar radar,, that CHP officers use to issue speeding tickets,, well anyways , it went off and I proceeded to slow down to 80,, still over the limit,. but tipsters say,, cops ,, usually like to write tickets at 85 and above,, higher rate of return,, for their citation,, but believe me they can issue you ne for 71 mph on  a70 mph zones,,, but usually the 10-15 ovet the limit is a what they do.. well,, as the radar went off,, I slowed down in the fast lane.. the copper ,, did point it at me,,, for a long time,, and it looked for a second he was going to go after me.. but he re adjusted his radar and pointed down,, and in due time,, caught someone,, In the past two days,,, I have seen two chps officer's pull over people for speeding,, both cars were SUV's.. so go figure.. I know,, I shouldn't speed, but I do,, and people drink , even though its not good either. People will do things that make them happy,, for some,, drinking and spending $$ for alcohol,, is more important than saving money in accounts or buying  things for themselves or cars..For me, buying things for my muscle car has a higher priority than spending it on liquior,, but that's me.. to each is own,, .. My logic is this,, I rather see my money spent on something I can see every day,, Like a radar detector, scanners , tinted Windows or classy wheels ,, than,, something you drink away.. and it only gives you head aches , and destroys one's liver,,, not saying I don't drink... because,, when prompted i can drink with the  best of them but I also know,, I will have paid for my drinking, dry skin, broken down liver,, etc,, But hey,, I do what makes me happy,, and I know alot of fiends I know,, do what makes them happy,, its smoking , drinking, driving fast , gambling etc They have their ills and issues, but I found,, you have to do what makes you happy,, and fuck the rest.. am I right? I mean.. The argument is, Its my life, its my money and its my body or in others words,, Its my business, as long as I don't bother you,, than you have no right to mess with me.. But bear in mind,, what you do to yourself does affect the ones that love you,, I mean.. If I crash and become a cripple..do I really want to do that to my family.. nope. for me.. if or when I get into a serious accident,, I pray its a quick and fast exit,,, fuck that cripple life.. I have lived my whole  as a healthy adult.. I don't have the mind set to be cripple,, that would be depressing,, that's why in my opinion,, when people get hurt or what?, I think its better to leave this world without burdening others,, that's why,, if I go,,, I want to go fast and furious,, and poof gone,, Screw that cripple life,, it just me.. I know myself,, and at least I'm honest about it.. Most folks,, are scared of the truth.. The truth is,, we all have our destiny's to live..fro some, its providing care for our families. others to help others and for others,, its living a life only others only dare to live.. I hope that my driving adventures adds excitement or insight into the speedsters life,, without taking the risks... let some other idiot do it!! But hey,, who said life is simple, life is the most incredibly unrealistic and far faithed thing to do,, We are faced with hypocrisy's, with idiots, we deal with unlawful people and evil ones,,, its a hell for bet life.. You read about it or see on the news.. we have hideous crimes on the elderly and young...but we all seem to shrug it off, because we all want to do what makes us happy,, For me.. When I get into  my car,, its a thrilling experience, its almost an extension of one self.. I aways feel like,, I want to be that attention seeking  , in your face driver that believes I rule the road.. Its a great high,, an emotional high that is addciting,, to me,, going fast or faster than others is something so thrilling its hard to explain,, other than,, you have to experience life in the fast lane,, there is nothing as thrilling as going fast on a nice sunny and cool day in SO cal.. overlooking the mountain sides ,, and just zooming past other cars... its exhilarating experience, breath taking and just makes you feel empowered... Its something I enjoy everytime i drive my muscle car.. Its an addicting experience.. and to be honest I love this  feeling.. Call it mid life crisis , call it juvenile thoughts, but whatever you want to call it,,, Its adventure I have enjoying for almost 3 years.. come March  St Patricks day,,, It has changed my life and how I feel about muscle cars and I enjoy sharing my events with everyone,,, 
  Final thoughts.. I really had a blast these two days driving wifey to work.. It has been fun, and dangerous, like I said I saw two chps officer's pull over people,, and I saw it coming,, because of my radar detector and police scanners I get a warning while the other fools,, I hate  to say,, just speed reckless.. I know,. I'm a speeder,, but I do it in a safe and controlled way,, Believe me when the scanner or  radar goes off,, I shut down.. Because.. any ticket,, is too expensive and my driving records,, doesn't need it. or my insurance company rates,, So drive safe and be careful,, Because the cops are patrolling the streets and if you do get caught.. its your fault , because you didn't use radar detection or police scanners to observe the streets.. These are tools that are out  there,, but many of you don't invest in those toys,, or gadgets ,, that's ok,, but don't get upset,,,if I pass you by on the Nascar 15, or freeway 5 , 805.. in So cal,, because,, I drive with awareness and safety in mind.. And that's the American Muscle warriors code,. drive safe,, drive defensively  , and also,, be accountable for your actions,, which I am...I know I have a muscle car and I speed.. with caution,, but when caught,, once since I retired  few years ago from the military.. I have learned my lessons well..
 Which is.
  1) Dont weave in traffic,' or race other cars.. 
2) Don;t make un safe lane changes 
3) Dont speed over 85 .. !! 120 + is considered reckless driving and they can impound ones car!!
4) Dont speed without a speed detector 
5) Dont speed without police scanner 
6) Dont speed without a dash cam camera.. it will record daily events on the road.. 

By following these tios. I can see a safe and fun experience on SOCALS freeways , highways and streets.. Its better to be safe than sorry,, and alwasy rememeber,, 
!) Drive with a valid drivers license
2) Drive with car registratation 
3) ID insurance cards 
4) and drive safe .. because the life  you save, maybe yours//

Memory Monday - I miss the Military life..

Memory Monday - I miss the Military life..Inspired by my military days... 

  I know, I served over 20 years in a very dangerous occupation, I mean, there were times , I wondered if I would make it home. I mean.. despite all the troops or sailors with you on deployments. I saw death, either by the heat of the Persian gulf, the stress of the life we lived or by casualties of war,, whats weird is that when your going through it,, You never realize how tough of life we lived.. I mean as sailors we lived in cramped , quarters and had to sleep next to people you liked or hated , but you learned to tolerate the jerks, and believe me, there is tons of those in the military,, but at the time I didn't realize what a stress it was to be under those conditions for Long period's of time does play havoc on your nerves, your emotions,your Psyche,,, In the military we taught to be macho , to be superman and despite the horror's that surrounded us.. I still recall .. no names. for respect to my shipmate,, but watching a shipmate die in front of you,, and feeling helpless to help.. I mean Im no doctor ,, and it was frustrating to see someone just fall to the ground,, and knowing its was over.. I try to erase those thoughts,, but no matter how hard ,, it cant go away.. How can it? I mean its somethimg you saw and witnessed,, that's why,, its better not to see things like that. because if does bother me, it does make me wonder about my own destiny,, But like the military does.we mourn our shipmates loss, and back to work.. yup.. its really strange how it works, but at the time,,  didn't understand the insensitivity or lack of feeling.. but now... i realize,, we have to think that way,, we are taking care of expensive equipment and looking our for one another,, for all of us to be focused,, we cant cry,, well not too much. But it seems years later,, it does have a affect when you see people die, or get hurt or sent to emergency rooms. Its sad when people commit or try to commit suicide. It bothers me,, because I always thought I can make a difference,, I mean, during my days , I tried to make people smile and be happy.. even though I was hurting and more depressed than them. It was a responsibility and role I took on... because I did it well.. But it does take sit toll.. that for so many years I hid those fears and tears from others to give the impression I'm ok.. It was a tough time of my life,, but it was also a great one too.. The many laughs we had in port or doing working parties,, the many hazing events,, like getting promoted or getting your warfare pin.. blood pinning ceremonies,, what is that? 

  Blood pinning is taking your ware fare , removing the covers and sticking the pin against your chest.. and you let your closest buddies punch that pin into your chest,, what a a bunch of goons,,, we were,, I still recall the tacking of the crow. where once you get promoted , your shipmates get to punch your arm.. I recall.. I was hurt in the arm so hard and by so many people..I had a bruised and hurt arm.. that required medical attention.. I had a headaches for days and the bruising lasted just as long.. But it was a rite of passage we went through,,. I laugh now.. but at the time I had all those jerks that punched my arm or or chest during those days,, But pay back came when it was my turn,, and to be honest I punched my shipmates very hard and showed no mercy, what a jerk I became.. But if anything, it gave us a camaraderie a brotherhood,, that we did and performed the same duties as everyone else.. it was a true rite of passage,,, it was coming of age so to speak..But I know alot you could not , would not or allow oneself to do that and nothing wrong with that, Not everyone is built for the military life ,, and for just cause,, We are all wired different,, I was brought up under a military life style,, and no matter how I try to shake it it was already set and formed in my demeanor and attitude,, I have no qualms about that because I had a great time serving this great nation and I surely miss alot of my shipmates from the Camden , the Princeton , the Nimitz, the Peleliu, overseas japan and San Diego shore commands,, I made a impression ,, that will be forever entrenched in those minds that saw me,, perform my martial arts, my dancing , my impressions and of course my work ethic.. I know now,,, that there is nothing in my life that can match that life i lived and I'm thankful for all the memories and friendships I made during those times., It will always be the best time of my life and I'm thankful on this memory Monday to look back and relive those days I lived with you.. I have posted quite a few blogs regarding my military life and I encourage you to look into my blog site , because I have hundreds of stories, on my life experiences, and I'm happy when people read and give me feed back on alot of my stories,, Because , if anything they are real ,and heartfelt and a part of my life.. even though some of you may think why live that life? Well why do anything in life. we all go through this world doing what we feel is our destiny,, My was to serve and protect this country and I did it with honor,, and to that I salute all of my fellow sailor that have served with me.. If anything I try to make the ordeal,, the deployments, the working parties , the long watches, the exercises , the cleaning stations, the boredom, the fear , the training , the life we lived,, as fun as possible,, I know.. It wasn't the easiest life to live , but it was worthwhile and patriotic to serve this nation and be granted the benefits that I;m enjoying now.. So on this memory Monday I pray for the shipmates that have passed and I wish all peace , because ,, war is never like the movies, and being witness to death , is not what you think. It plays havoc on ones mind and always lingers in your thoughts..that's why... we tend to have a different perspective on war, on life, on sports,,, because we know.. life has its own agenda and we all are subject to mother nature or father time.. You cant beat them and you cant confuse them., Life will go on with you or without you,, and because of that,, I take each day as a gift from God,, Because today is a gift,, that's why they call it the " Present!" look for the good in people , but also be cautious of those that are evil.. Its something I learned about life..that you cant please everyone and you cant be liked by everyone, but you can control how you treat people and how you present yourself. I like to think I'm a positive and informational force to those looking for it..Because in today's world., we all need someone to turn to and talk to,, and we also need advice from everyone on anything and everything...   Well its Friday and another fast week down, and love all the postings on face book, the happy , the sad , the informational , the entertaining , the events etc. If anything face book is a release, but just a reminder ,, be safe about what you post, I know,, its my business , its my thoughts its my life.. But sometimes you have to wonder or just think about who;s out there? Its in the news all the time,hackers, assaults from online comments, break ins into homes and etc.. 
  Why does this happen,, ? Well ,, at times we forget that the moment we post things,, its there forever,, even you delete or hide it.. an experienced hacker can retrieve it and once they do,, they can reproduce it and share it around the world.. Its a tough thing to fathom, because we all feel safe under the monitor,, But safety in today's world is just a finger tip away. I know in this age, people get more offended upset when things are written down!! Why? Because its there forever,, no matter what and if the intended user already reads it,, damage done. I know.. No one is going to hurt you or rob you or what.. But its in the news all the time,, people getting stalked , raped, hurt , and even killed, because of things posted on social media.. ts better to be wise than sorry.,
  If anything just be ready or prepared for the consequences of your actions.. Like for example, posting your on vacation... big no no,, now,, if someone is a criminal,, and know where you live , than that's the time you can get robbed..Because you just posted your on vacation,, and no one is home? Just think about it..? Not a good idea,.. But I know we are all excited to share our lives with family and friends, but maybe its better to wait until you get back and post them.. Just a security and peace of mind thought.. 
  Same with posting events,, like birthday parties and the length of time you will  be out,, of the house,, another bad idea.. I know,, how can people find out about parties.. well what about good old phone call or a actual card invite.. I know, its easier to post events on face book, but you are also make it easier for you to be a victim of crime or worse.. Its a different world today, faster , smarter , but also more scarier , with all the technological advances.. we have at our disposal, Its tough to have security in our minds, but sometimes we need reminders.. 
  Like lock your doors at home , use double locks and use locks on your windows,, always..
 Another tip, is always change passwords,, to all your accounts,, on a regular basis.. Identity theft happens more to often than ever! Be safe with your credit and debit cards , and always secure them from any compromise.. 
 Final Friday thoughts... Just be more prudent about what you post and when you post them..Just remember not everyone on the web is a friend, they are predators, opportunist and criminals searching and lurking for chances to take advantage of people.. Now, if your secure or confident about what you post and how you post them. Then your in the right , its your personal choice we all have to make.But don't feel bad or regretful when bad things happen.. Life is a constant battle to stay ahead,, and cyber security , home security and personal security are things we all take for granted. Is face book safe? I say it can be, but you also have to be accountable fro your actions and Leary of what or who is watching? Postings about where you are or what you are doing,, can be dangerous and what you say about people can be damaging to your health.. There is a reason why there is mas shootings or assaults in today's world.. people today get offended and because of that anger ,, some  people choosy to harm others.. and the problem is,, You don't know if its gonna happen at a football game, a movie theater , a mall , a school,, at work.. I mean. just check out the news,, its all theres,, people shot just sitting in their cars, or front yards... its a maddening world and we all have to take our own responsibility fro what we do on social media.. I'm not trying to scare people,,just make people aware,,, Awareness is the key to protection in life.. Its whats keeps us ready for the world challenges.. So have a great Friday,,, and just be aware and know the consequences you may face by your postings or comments.. They are trolls, hackers and criminals looking for that opening,,, 
    Just a reminder..
1) Be careful about posting about your vacations.. Why -- criminals or enemies know when your not home.
2) Be careful with comments.. Why/? People get offended and can harm you by something that was sarcastic in your mind,. But its hard to read sarcasm in written form..
3) Be careful about personal information and future events.. like the reminder 1, People can do awful things when they know when you work, or know when your going to parties or vacations.. Don't make it easy for criminals.. 
Lastly , just be safe with your passwords and your social media info.. Security is a active and daily activity.. Just like personal safety.. No one cares about yourself,, than you.. Protect what you have, what you say and how you say it.. and above all.. Have fun today and be safe and Enjoy your face book postings,,and just be aware of what you do on face book and always monitor your kids activity,,, They are young , and often naive about the goings on of real life.. SUPER BOWL 49 - AFTERMATH. FEB 3, 2015.

SUPERBOWL 49 - THE AFTERMATH FEB 3, 2015..
   First of all that was one of the most exciting , most dramatic , and of course the most controversial Superbowl in years, and I also enjoyed the production special effects halftime show.. One of the best in years.. 
  Now to the game.. This was a game of legacies,, the Brady and belichick era , the Patriots image, the seahawks trying to red o history,, being he the first team to repeat since the Patriots. But faith, mistakes, pressure, panic mode,, whatever,, It's done,, they make a call they though would work,, it happens all the time,, recall the great Brady made a poor throw a couple of times that cost the team tds or scoring opportunities.. If not for the pivotal picks.. The Pats win easy,, in fact the pats were dominating,, which was impressive,, But that's why we or they play the games,, nothing is life or even sports is a guarantee,, everyone thinks,, oh,, run the ball,, ok,, recall,, they had a stacked line and had more people on the line of scrimmage,, than the hawks,, But i hear the chants,, beast mode, give him a chance. which is a logical,, choice,, but,, here's a stat.. beast mode had 5 chances in the regular season,, and only scored once,.. I know,, that's the regular season,,, this is the Superbowl.. and beast mode was running well,, But sometimes,, in sports and life... we over think things or try to fool people,, into thinking something,, sometimes it works others times they don't. Its life , it sports,,, and for everyone to assume, its a done deal.. that is so wrong.. They tried,, and it didn't work.. but had it work.. he would be calling the hawks the champs.. remember,, carrol gambled right before halftime, to go for the td than take the field goal,,, if he didnt do that.. that would change the dynamics of the game..so what I'm saying,, you just don't know how the game will turn out.. ?Because its not a done deal.. we have seen many times,, goal line stands,, and teams losing ,, and we have seen dramatic wins with uncanny calls,, its football. if you make the play you  are champions and if you don't,, you join the other 30 teams that didn't wind the Superbowl.. its a team  sport. and as fans,, we are so hard on players and coaches,, because we think,, things are a given.. Its called sports.. nothing is guaranteed or a sure thing,, and that's why we enjoy the game.. Because you never know when a fumbled, or pick or poor throw or great play may happen when you least expect it.?. That's why sports is compelling and controversial... 
  Now.. with the last play call,, the safe thing to do was to run lynch  , not only once , maybe twice maybe three times,,? and if the Pats stop your guy.. then people would be satisfied,, but the fact, the clock was run down and the hawks ,, gambled on making that final play, is where everyone is upset with,, Hey,, Coaches ,, sometimes they  out think themselves, because of the data , they have the trends, and such,, but sometimes a great coach just goes by feel,, just goes by,, Hey , I have a beast mode runner and  I'm going to live and die with what got me here,, But to go out of character and try to be brady like,,?? .. ended up hurting your legacy and adding to the amazing career of Brady and the Patriots,, They win,, bottom line,,yes,. tuck gate , spy gate , deflate gate, injury report issues,, , line formations,, issues,, if anything,, I fault the NFL officiating and the NFL itself for allowing such shenanigans,, but when you have commissioner that enables big time owners like the Krafts , like the Jone's,, what do you expect? No biggie on my part,, I lose  a few bets here and there , win a few,, whatever,, I look at sports as a escape from life , a form of entertainment,, No hardship on my life,, it the long run,, it doesn't matter if pats when the next 5 Superbowl's. or what? It has no bearing in my life.. I value my family , my friends , my faith , more than millionaires , doing whatever they want.. 
 My take,, Enjoy sports,, love  sports,, be passionate,, I love that, but also remember,, there are more important things,, to value,like loving your family , your wife, husband , kids, Friends.. loving life. because,, that's where our legacy lies, not based on how many jerseys you own or how many banners you display in your house or man cave.. Because in the end.. Its how you treat people , and how people treat you , its more important than what team you root for? 
  THE NFL is a multi billion dollar company with many stake holders that only care about the money and you think they care that your upset about a blown call or a scandalous season.. This is what the NFL has become and will endorse their product,, as a money machine , with inconsistent officiating , inconsistent policies and players that are pissed off about the whole deal.. You get fined for making a big hit , or fined for excessive celebrations,, come on guys,, its a emotional, passionate game,, and expect them to act normal when anyone who has played this game knows,, its a trash talking, in your face,, rule challenging profession.. This is not golf, or tennis where they ask you to be quiet,, or they keep your own score,, this is football,!!, a game that requires a little insanity,  alot of courage and mental toughness and a game that is so emotional..because of the hard work, the pains , the rehabs,, during the season, after the season,, its hard work.!!. I know,, I used to play youth sports,My sons have played it and believe me, I cry when they cry after a tough loss. I smile and scream when they do well and I curse and I,m pissed off when they blow it,, Believe me. players are trying to make plays and trying to be great,, it hurts them when they blow it,, I know,, I have seen it , when my son has blown a few plays this year,, I would be his worst critic.. But guess what ,,? That is sports,, nothing is a sure thing,, We see missed field goals. blocked punts,, fumbles , interceptions,, etc. Its called playing the game. so as much as we say,, Coach Carrol blew it.. ! Yes, he did,, he gambled , but he also went farther than the other teams in the league.. Its tough,, in the NFL,, NOTHING FOR LOSERS,, its a harsh reality,, when you lose or win the SUPERBOWL,,,,,
  FINAL TAKE.. THE SEAHAWKS are a still a young team.. they have a great coach and quarterback and they will be relevant for years,, As for the Patriots,, they can repeat and even win multiple championships before brady and belichick calls it quits. It has been a amazing run for a team that has been so consistent despite, free agencies, salary caps, and just the mindset of players today.. They have established a system of winning that is copied or envied by so many teams in the NFL.. BOTTOMLINE-- THEY WIN. and it hurts alot of teams out there,, because jobs and careers are based on losing to the pats,,, the chargers fired a coach because he lost to the pats,, at home .. Now,, if the Patriots are so good,, then why do they cheat? or try to gain an competitive advantage? Thats what I want to know,, Why video tape or try to steal signals from teams, why toy with the rule books, making a player eligible , inelgible etc.. ? Why inflate , deflate balls ? Why do any of these things to win? Why? Because the NFL allows it ,they have enabled them , for whatever reason,, its clear , the Patriots are the poster child of the NFL.. RED ,WHITE AND BLUE UNIFORMS.. A MODEL LIKE QUARTERBACK, A COACHING GURU..  a model of success ,, this is what the NFL loves and is endorsing.. As for the fans,, and those that lose money or time,, because of this,, Its heartbreaking and disgusting, But we all know,, come draft time, .come preseason,, time,, we the fans are addicts, are addicted and will come back,, and argue , debate and fuss about whats is wrong with the NFL..and you know  what,??, THAT'S what the NFL wants, to always be a today's talk at work, at schools, at meetings at anywhere,, it keeps their product always on the minds of the consumer's,, and to that,, They are true masters of manipulating the fans,, so keep debating and advertising for the NFL.. Because this is what they want and have created,, and its why we love and hate this game,, at the same time,, Its addicting , its compelling and its life... NFL is the No figure league,, you really cant explain everything they do,, but that's life.. Nothing is a guaranteed or assured other than,, Come Next season,, 32 teams are going to fight to be the next champion.. and that's the beauty of the this league.. There is always next year.. and beyond!! ENJOY THE GAME,,but remember,, Life goes on whether our teams win or lose,, but it sure it fun to argue about something we have no control over,,
