THE SOURCES VIEWS ON THE 2016 SAN DIEGO CHARGERS..
Can you spell unpredictable ?.... Can you spell inconsistent??? , Can You spell frustrating ?...... Can you Spell McCoyed.. Yes McCoyed. This once mighty play off team LT era.. was amazing and fun to watch. Now they are amazing to watch , but also frustrating. After 3 weeks of football this team could of been 3-0 , close overtime loss to Chiefs on the road, but the bolts were winning for 45 minutes until the last quarter collapse. Then the awesome season opening whit hot Sunday,, I attended and enjoyed it !! Then the winnable but losing late on the road against the win less Colts..
The SOURCES VIEWS....We have a 1-2 team that could of been one of the 5 other undefeated teams in the league. But poor finishes, lack of guts and mental mistakes have made this season like the other 3 miserable seasons under McCoy,. we are McCoyed!!!, like before him Nervous Norv , Norved.. Meaning out coached , out smarted , out adjusted out everything by most of the NFL coaches.. In other words, frustrating to watch.!! But like the thousands of fans that tailgate and yell and scream in the parking lots and in the stands we cheer for the team!!. LOCAL SD PRIDE !That's why we are fanatics..!! But if the chargers want a new venue..?!!? and want the hard working San Diegans to make that vote.. then a quick turn around and nice winning streak before the vote might do it.. ??/
Now.. The next 6 games before the vote .. are home games against the saints , broncos thursday night and Titans and road games against the raiders, falcons and broncos.. now win all the home games possible? Yes they have so far.?!?.and win 2 of 3 games on the road against the falcons and raiders,, possible ,, raiders have a poor defense and the falcons are like the saints can score alot , but give up alot too.. ?? But possible... so going into the November vote the chargers could be 6-3 , and fighting for the division lead or wild card.. It could make the difference? But the chargers must play consistent football , run the rock and win the turnover ratio.. Lets face it when the chargers are balanced they are unstoppable. when they become one dimensional they can be stopped.
The Bosa deal.. I know the fans including myself are inpatient we want our 17 million dollar bonus baby to play.. But the time away 4 weeks or so , was too much time to miss,, anyone that played or have kids that play football know,, it takes time for players to get into football shape.. Lifting weights and working out is not football shape,, football shape is hitting , blocking , cutting etc.. Its gonna take time for him to get up to speed,, But for now,, I like how Mebane , Ligeut and Reed are performing.. they are attacking and forcing things to happen. The weakness is secondary play.. hmm.. now we miss weddle.. The corners verret and hayward and even flowers are holding up , but the safeties are having trouble as well as the linebacking play. In next years draft we need to address the linebacking weakness as well as the safety issues and offensive line help.. But for now.. The chargers are playing better but need to finish better and be mentally alert late in the game.
This sundays home game is must win and must have . It will set up the bolts to make that mid season run and the momentum for the November vote.. A winning record and being in the hunt for the playoffs will spark the city , for that crucial vote; But it has to start this sunday. as much as we loved and miss Drew Brees, this sunday his old team needs to come up with a big win because the raiders are next followed by a short week thursday game against the broncos.. win those 2 games and suddenly the chargers are 4-2 before going on the road against the falcons and broncos. split those and a home win against the titans suddenly 6-3 before the vote..
Final Thoughts.. Bosa will be a force once hes in there. I like him rotating around Reed and Liegeut. Because those two are good but a bit up there in age. The quality elite teams have very good rotational players.. Something the chargers need to work on. !!They are just as good as many teams , first teamers, its depth , its the secondary guys the chargers need to work on. The Loss of teo was a big blow because like him or not he did fill up the middle or run game, and it was always in position , even though he lacks elite speed, he's a gamer , no Jr Seau,, but who is? And to be honest unfair to him and the fans.. Same with Gordon, comparing him to LT is unfair,, LT WAS A LEGEND A BEAST A HALL OF FAMER.. Gordon,, will be very good , but he's no LT.. ?? well only time will tell.. But he can be the force we want for this team.. because the clock is ticking on this team.. Rivers has maybe 3-4 years of quality qb play.. I'm guessing because he did sit for 2 years.. But he has had some tough injuries to his back and knees.. But he's a gamer but time is running out.. the same for gates. His foot issues the wear and tear.. its getting to both of them. That's why I'm enjoying the chargers with rivers and gates because once they are gone,... its gonna be tough..?? But for now ...Charger fans..Lets enjoy the side arm throws from rivers and the unreal wide open gates , when he has slow mo speed.. Its totally un real that the past 3 weeks we have lost 3 big name players .. Keenan Allen , Danny Woodhead and Manti Teo' ,, whose to blame?Conditioning Coach , bad luck.. ? Or the Charger Curse? I like to think one day before our lifetimes end??!.. we will get to enjoy a SUPERBOWL CELEBRATION like the New Orleans Saints.. the aints at one time... or the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, once went 0-26... ?? Or the Seattle Seahawks.. or even The Baltimore Ravens... all of these teams were expansion teams.. and younger then the Chargers and yet they made it happen. !!!The years those teams won it.!!Did the fans really think that was the year..?? That's why you never know.. ? This could be the year? Why not? The Chargers have a top rated offense and a middle of road defense.. and a Much needed running game and big time running back. !! Like I used to tell my youth football players when I coached them.. You have to believe to achieve.. or be a TEAM = TOGETHER EVERYONE ACHIEVES MORE!!
For those the Love the Chargers please cheer them on an dont lose the faith.. I'm going to the game this sunday and proudly wear my Charger jerseys .. gates for me and Gordon for my son... Lets enjoy this season and how many more we have with such greats like Rivers and gates.. Enjoy !!

Chargers vs Colts 2016 Week 3 . The Sources Views...
First off , the Chargers were off or should I say Rivers was.. he missed on some crucial passes to benjamin and gordon that could of changed the outcome.
Turning points.. When Star corner hayward made that pick was stopped from scoring and the Chargers from the 6 yard line could not score on 3 tries.. I hate to say it that was lame.. especially you have a weapons every where. wide outs , running back tight ends.. Why they failed? No guts using Gordon to power in and poor play calling ?/ ah how we miss the LT era.. run the rock.. But as a mcyoed annoyed team, they like to out think or try to out think the other team.. bottom line.. the chargers beat themselves.. those missed opportunities leads to losing close games...
Next.. the missed extra point.. yes it haunted us , because on the last drive we had to go for td instead of having the option of a tying field goal.. ah.. so frustrating...
Lastly , the 4th and 1 and McCoy and his conservative ( scared) play calling says..
kick the field goal instead of have rivers sneak or fall for less than a yard or Gordon on a power run.. Like I said many times this year they play it safe and all we get is close but no cigar. If you have no guts( faith in your lineman and or running back.. I it sends the wrong vibe..
Now to vibe.. Its been what? 4 years now of Conservative safe calling and playing the percentages.. and not feeding the egos of the lineman or the players. Its clear by looking at body language or Rivers frustrated looks on the sidelines.. The team doesn't dig the McCoy vibe or lack of one. oo many examples of non coaching or cheerleading .. You need a leader of men to get men to play their hearts out . Look at Belicheat , Tomlin of the steelers or Carrol of the seahawks.. They play hard even in a loss.. The Bolts play hard only to hear the same old.. We made mistakes, missed opportunities, failure execute.. man.. McCoy makes me want to puke.. But as loyal fans that we are. we shake it off and cheer them on every sunday , monday or thursday when they play.. But the consistent close losses has gotten old.. I never want anyone to lose their jobs.. But in this case.. The youthfootball cheer clap coach has to go.. Give Coach Whiz a shot , you can tell they respond to him and lets do it soon. Because theres still time to salvage this season.. But the trend is alarming , losses on the road and no divisional wins in 2 years. Last season totally swept and so far 0-1 with the broncos and raiders coming in the next few weeks.
Things I liked . the defense is playing faster and making big pays the sack fumble touchdown was awesome. But the offense needs to be more consistent and get the running game going. When the run game works,, Rivers has time to throw.. he can light up the scoreboard..if not they can stink up the place..
Final thoughts , the chargers have to learn how to close out close games by running the ball annd having faith in their line. They also have to play hard 60 minutes and forget about blwon plays and make big plays in the game. The saints is a winnable game , but they must restablish the run game and the receivers have to make those catches and get in the groove. The defense will have their hands full but if the chargers get that lead then the defense can blitz brees and force him into mistakes as shown last week when he was behind at home. Its still a long season a win on sunday puts the chargers At 2-2 and right back in the thick of things with the broncos and raiders in the next few weeks, a sweep there and the bolts can be a nice 5-2 and 3-1 in the division nearing the half way point and in time for the November vote. With a winning record and making a push for the playoffs might be enough to get the 66% 2/3rds vote needed to get that much need stadium the city and its fans deserve. But its up to the chargers , who many of them don't live in the city, o make that push. As for fans all we can do is attend games like I have this year and cheer them on and lets see what october brings .. The future looks bright next year . get allen , woodhead , oliver, johnson..teo and the new studs on the block. Gordon , Henry , williams and benjamin.. This will be a awesome team. But for now .. Its still a long season and tons of work to do,, and it begins at the Q this sunday.. Go bolts and fans never surrender Because there are many cities that would die for a NFL TEAM.. even the chargers.. would please them.. I know it hurts to lose to watch them lose.. But I see good things in this team and this sunday.. The adjustments and corrections will be made and they make that run to the play offs and the Measure C vote in Novemeber 2016!!

COLTS AT JAGUARS -The Colts come from behind at home to go 1-2 the Jags are still looking for a win.. I feel the jags will have too much passing and defensive fire and pull out the upset special for the week. The colts have issues on defense and offensive line.
TITANS AT TEXANS - Two similar teams , but I like the Texans at home with that suffocating defense and ball control offense. The texans win in a low scoring game.
BROWNS AT REDSKINS- The Browns may have found their qb for the future in FORMER USC STAR CODE KESSLER, but the Skins have a more experienced one ,but the defense will be the down fall for the skins.. The browns is the other upset special of the week!!
SEAHAWKS AT NY JETS -The hawks play well when russell wilson does, they have a great defense as well as the jets, the hawks struggle on the road and I see the same scenario happening this week. The Jets will make enough plays to edge out the mighty hawks. I fell wilson is hurting and may force things because of that. Turnovers will be the key,!!
BILLS AT PATRIOTS- Like i said many times with brady with out the Patriots always find ways to win. Yes an impressive win by the Bills last week. But this is the Patriots.. I see the Patriots treating the home town fans to another win at home and finish 4-0 , despite the Brady suspension..
PANTHERS AT FALCONS- The Panthers were dominated against the SUPER BOWL contending , yes the super bowl contending Minnesota Vikings minus ADRIAN PETERSON? NFL is really the no figure league who would of thought a journey man qb Sam Bradford would finally get it together and play like a star maker, but he has the team rolling , but this is about the Panthers getting fired up and beating up the Falcons?? I dont think so,, I like the Falcons upsetting the Panthers.. Too Much passing and running attack..
RAIDERS AT RAVENS- The raiders are back? Well they are 2-1 and have a explosive offense despite their lowest rated defense. But its hard to trust them 2 weeks in a row especially on the road. I see Joe flacco pick apart that dreadful defense as they cruise to a solid home win..
LIONS AT BEARS- The Lions can score at will, the bears allow points at will. Stafford vs Hoyer, no match even a home crowd cant help the bad defensive play by the bears and the the offense just isnt consistent or explosive enough to keep up with the Lions.Another bad loss for the bears!!
BRONCOS AT BUCCANEERS- The broncos look like the SUPERBOWL CHAMPIONS ,.. great defense and solid offensive play. The Bucs are too young and inexperienced to upset the very good broncos...
RAMS AT CARDINALS - A divisional war , the rams go their offense going and are 2-1 ,, the cardinals were embarassed last week and are looking for redemption t home, Could it be the Palmer show is slowing down, it kinda looks like it, but more like getting blown out , bad game , and they will bounce back and treat the fans to a nice win at home,, Look for Fitgerald having a big day as Will as johnson at running back..
SAINTS AT CHARGERS -The saints lose badly at home because of poor defensive play and playing catch up.. Brees is amazing when he has a lead , but playing from behind hes avarage. the Bolts have alot of weapons , but they are young and at this time inconsistent. the defense is playing alot better. My gut tells me a shoot out , but I see the Chargers using more run game , clock killing plays and keep brees on the sideline.. Expect long drive with tds and a solid win for the chargers at home.
COWBOYS AT 49ERS - The Boys are back solid passing and running and a defense playing better, The niners are playing better, but that cowboy defense will be too much for gabbert and the niners. a solid road win for the boys..

CHIEFS AT STEELERS - The steeelers were beat down last week, unreal. But they should and will bounce back this week, because the chiefs are not as good as advertised. The steeelers will score alot and keep the chiefs at bay , in route to a solid home win , big days for the killer b's.. Big Ben, Brown , and Bryant..

GIANTS AT VIKINGS - The gmen were upset last week after starting so strong. they have offensive weapons and the giants defense is playing better.. But the suprise of the year is the VIKINGS, ARE they for real ? Strong running and passing attacks and a defense playing better. This is a toss up game.. ??The Giants have the talent to beat the VIKINGS and I feel they will, The VIKINGS are better , but the Giants are one of the contenders of the NFC.. NOT SOLD ON VIKINGS unless they pull out this win on monday night.. ??

Well going or attending a winning Football Game is fun.. Driving in to Mission Valley and hot sunny day was exhilarating. Looking at all the Charger Tailgaters was thrilling, Let me say this , I have attended games where the fan base was 50-50 or even 60-40 visitors.. I mean the spanos family have hurt , teased and threatened us die hards into thinking last year was the last? Now , its anyone guess.?? If this is really it. I'm going to attend as many games possible. Because being at the game is like no other experience , its fun, its thrilling and its a bonding experience with other fans, the high fives, the laughter , the cheers and boo's make the game time experience like no other. I know its fun o watch at home , but you don't get the sights and sounds of the games. the extra shouting matches and of course the beautiful ladies in their tight shorts and shirts and vice versa , the men too for you women or men..I mean its the choice of the new generation.
For me and my son, it has been a long drought of attending charger games and not feeling the win.. Its been forever.. But Last sunday was everything we thought it would be watching the chargers play great football ala the LT era and seeing the defense step up was amazing.Yea I know it was the Jags, but a week earlier they nearly beat the packers and i pick them to beat the Ravens at home.. They are a talented ,but young and inexperienced bunch .. but a win is a win in the NFL , no matter who it is. You still have to play error free football and take advantage of scoring chances in order to win , in which the chargers did..
Final Analysis, I like what the Chargers are doing, strong running game which opens up the passing attack and controlling the clock late in the game while playing sound defense. The chargers are stopping the run and harassing qbs with their creative defensive schemes. The front 3 line men are pressuring and the secondary is top notch. The Line backers are in position but lack outside speed, but make up for it with their gang tackling mentality. The Bolts are over looked because of history, but the playmakers like gates, Gordon and Benjamin, make this team a force to reckon for years to come. But for now I'm enjoying watching this talented team with alot of young play makers and play breakers.. Well going or attending a winning Football Game is fun.. Driving in to Mission Valley and hot sunny day was exhilarating. Looking at all the Charger Tailgaters was thrilling, Let me say this , I have attended games where the fan base was 50-50 or even 60-40 visitors.. I mean the spanos family have hurt , teased and threatened us die hards into thinking last year was the last? Now , its anyone guess.?? If this is really it. I'm going to attend as many games possible. Because being at the game is like no other experience , its fun, its thrilling and its a bonding experience with other fans, the high fives, the laughter , the cheers and boo's make the game time experience like no other. I know its fun o watch at home , but you don't get the sights and sounds of the games. the extra shouting matches and of course the beautiful ladies in their tight shorts and shirts and vice versa , the men too for you women or men..I mean its the choice of the new generation.
For me and my son, it has been a long drought of attending charger games and not feeling the win.. Its been forever.. But Last sunday was everything we thought it would be watching the chargers play great football ala the LT era and seeing the defense step up was amazing.Yea I know it was the Jags, but a week earlier they nearly beat the packers and i pick them to beat the Ravens at home.. They are a talented ,but young and inexperienced bunch .. but a win is a win in the NFL , no matter who it is. You still have to play error free football and take advantage of scoring chances in order to win , in which the chargers did..
Final Analysis, I like what the Chargers are doing, strong running game which opens up the passing attack and controlling the clock late in the game while playing sound defense. The chargers are stopping the run and harassing qbs with their creative defensive schemes. The front 3 line men are pressuring and the secondary is top notch. The Line backers are in position but lack outside speed, but make up for it with their gang tackling mentality. But this is a well coached team with a history of winning no matter what.They will do whats needed. texans have looked great and JJ WATT is a beast, But a fool would bet against the patriots at home no matter who leading the team.

CARDINALS AT BILLS- The cardinals look like the contenders they were last year, that defense is one of the best in the league and when they play well the offense follows suit. The Bills don't have the quarterback or play makers to stay with the cardinals.
RAIDERS AT TITANS-The Raiders looked good in the first week, then lay an egg at home. Back on the road , but stats dont lie... They cant stop the run or the pass and they are inconsistent on offense. Carr is a gamer , but he is like his idol Brett favre gun slinger .. which could prove disastrous against a run dominating team that will run all over the raiders and the force them to play catch up.
BROWNS AT DOLPHINS- The browns have the worst luck in qbs.. The Dolphins are one of those mediocre teams that can play well one week and play bad the next. I see them getting better and playing better against a bad team.
RAVENS AT JAGUARS- The Ravens don't play well on the road, and playing against a angry 0-2 team at home could prove painful. I see the Jaguars , attacking ealry
LIONS AT PACKERS-These two teams can score alot but they also give up alot of points. Packers have the better defense , but Rodgers hasn't been playing well. I expect him to bounce back and treat the hometown fans to a good performance.
BRONCOS AT BENGALS-The bengals defense will give broncos qb fits and this will be low scoring game with Andy Dalton and Aj Green making enough plays to pull out a nice win at home.
VIKINGS AT PANTHERS-The Vikes lose AP but gain Sam Bradford, suprise the Vikes are very good with him. But The Panthers are loaded and ready to make another run to the SUPER BOWL. This could be the game of the week, because of two very talented defenses and offenses that can score. But I feel the Panthers just have too much experience and at home they play very well.
REDSKINS AT GIANTS- The rematch of that foul induced game last year . beckham vs. norman II. I thought Norman got into beckhams head and its gonna be nice to see these division rivals fight it out. I see the Giants win because they are more talented and skilled and playing good football.

49ERS AT SEAHAWKS-The seahawks have not looked good and face the niners at home. Russel Wilson needs to get untracked for this team to do well. The defense is playing well , but the offense has issues. Playing the niners will help them build momentum as they will make a strong run to the playoffs.. The hawks always start out slow and then get going. I see that momentum start this sunday.

Its almost unfair , that they have the best running back and best receiver in the game .. The defense is playing better and Big Ben is having a good year. BENGALS AT STEELERS- The Steelers with Big Ben and the other Killer B's Bell , and brown.. are a offensive force, still unsure about defense, but they are looking like the usual contenders.This will be a divisional fight but I like the steelers at home in a high scoring affair. Game of the week !!
TITANS AT LIONS- The Lions looked offensively explosive against the colts but everyone does. The Titans dont have a much better defense , so look for another shoot out with the Lions winning late.
RAVENS AT BROWNS- The Ravens are quietly making a move , they have a solid defense and a ball controllling offense, well based on last weeks showing, its still early to have trends set , byt they look like a contender again.
COWBOYS AT REDSKINS- The Boys are in for some gorowing pains. They have a young inexperienced qb abd an offensive line that suddenly looks vulnerable. The Skins did not look good against the steelers but should bounce back against divisional foe, going against a rookie qb will make that defense look better , and they should win easily at home.
SAINTS AT GIANTS- The Gmen look like contenders, they had great defense and the offense was clicking. against a poor defense , they should run away in a easy win, but Brees will get his stats , but no win.

CHIEFS AT TEXANS- The Chiefs made a tremendous comeback at arrowhead against the McCoyed coached chargers. This week a tough task on the road against a healthy defense. I see a low scoring game and the texans winning by a late field goal.
SEAHAWKS AT RAMS- The Hawks escaped last week, but thats traditional seahawks.. I see them overwhelming the under achieiving and dissapointing rams. No qb to trust for the Rams and the hawks will slow down the Gurley show.. Wilson and the boys have too much fire power and experience for the Rams. Jeff Fisher will have his hands full coaching this game.

Chargers win late with ball control offense and a suprising defensive effort.

CHARGERS AT CHIEFS -9-11-16 THE BLOWN LEAD..
The Chargers looked great for 30 minutes , but after half time , they were the 4-12 chargers that went 4-12 last year..
thoughts.. First off , quick recovery for the star player keenan Allen, a true football player going full speed every play, he was unstoppable , the only one to stop him was himself. I wish him well.
Now the good points. Melvin " Flash ' Gordon was awesome. and wood head was clutch. Rivers had time to throw and the defense was doing their job.. now.. Halftime .. No adjustments made on the charger side and like all year last year was out coached , out smarted and out played,, Ok. I get it .. it was close,, but guess what? a loss is a loss and a win is a win regardless of the score.. The chargers like for the last how many years got McCoyed.. ok what does that mean? I mean,, playing it safe , playing it conservative. ala, Nervous Norv.. .. You cant sit on lead on the road and expect to win.. That's the difference between a winning coach like Belicheat , Or Mike Tomlin , Pete Carrol, Gary Kubiak.. they coach to win, they go for the jugular.. and they all have won SUPER BOWLS. COACHES like Mike McCoy , Jason Garret , etc.. coach to be good enough to lose or win at times but never win a SUPERBOWL.. This team has talent , but the culture of winning is not there, no one is held accountable, its like its ok.. we can overcome this,, This game needs motivators , needs inspiring speeches to play better. Mike McCoy Jason Garret puts me to asleep with their political correctness and politeness. Both coaches have talented squads but have not performed to their potential.. and because of that.. Expect a long season.. of close games and miscalculations and poor coaching that will lead to heart break and misery for the players ad fans.I really feel bad for Rivers , gates , because these future hall of famers will be ring less like LT, before them. Talented squads, but never reach the mountain. I know one game is one game but since the McCoy era this team has been progressively getting worse. Why they kept him is beyond me. They fire alot of people last year only to see the same old results. Close games and losing results and to add insult to injury we lose the star play maker keenan Allen..
Now the sources views....
1) Why abandon Melvin Gordon getting more touches ,, not only running but pass catching ? He;s explosive and was on a roll? Too Conservative and too careful in lay calling , which meant losing timing when you lose confidence in this game , it can turn fast, like it did..
2) Why run out the clock before the half? Throw it up to Benjamin,, that's the reason we hired him at least try it. ? I mean all game long no long ball threats or throws, .Maybe Rivers arm strength is not there anymore or maybe the careful game management ruin this teams chances to finish. just thinking.
3) We need better special teams play , we still see players not catching the ball ,fair catch or not? We see poor punts under clutch times.. ah.. Scifres was clutch.. he never , ever punted a 17 yarder, even a blocked one will still travel better than that? Upgrade or down grade and lower salary ? You get what you pay for charger management team.. Next Lambo, ok, he can kick the hell out the ball , to avoid kick off returns. But I saw many team pouch kicking and keeping teams under the 25 yard marker on touch backs.. Ah.. Where's Nick Novak ..now? and that Missed field goal,, yup that came back to haunt the chargers, along with the numerous time outs during the game..
4) Poor coaching decisions, why abandon the run when it was working and trying to call complicated offensives calls with new wide outs was horrible. 21 points in the first half.. 6 points in the second half.. and poor offensives play calls. Blame whisenhunt , blame the defense for being ot there too long . When the offense was rolling , the defense played well. But under pressure over time,.. the usual trend developed, get systematically driven down the field and lose it in over time.
5) Final analysis.. Go to the rock , run the ball , and short passes until these wide outs develop skills and confidence. Use gates more m hes reliable and is mismatch on most defenses the chargers play. ok. Hunter Henry is very good but I trust gates more then him right now. Woodhead is clutch , but Gordon is the power runner that can Punch a defense and wear them down. I like woodhead ,but he can only take so much pounding.. The defense looked good the front 3 was powerful , the linebackers were good but we still lack a fast hard hitting linebacker.. Teo is good but slow , so is emmanuel, Atouchco is faster and a harder hitter, perryman needs to play better. The secondary was good , but the safety spot is average at best. and like usual they melted or self destructed at the end of the game.. I mean 24-3 going into the final quarter and lose.. Good teams don't do that? Imagine the Patriots , Steelers, Seahawks, Broncos they don't do that and guess what these teams win SUPER BOWLS.. In other words this team right now is not good, they miss tackles , they don't perform well under pressure ,missed field goal at crucial times, and poor punting hurt this team at the end. But there is 15 more games to play and a season opener at the ' Q' next week, it a chance for redemption, against the Jags, but they almost beat the Packers at home .. It wont be a easy game.. With no keenan allen , I suggest more Gordon and less rivers to earn a win.. and the special teams have to make field goals and be more consistent punting and coverage. Its easy to say this team sucks, but One game is one game , now if they do it again at home , then expect another losing season and a high draft pick that holds out?? just kidding. For now, Use the power running game until they stop you and play better defense and attack 60 minutes at a time. Like the Power teams do.. Because blowing a 21 point lead is unacceptable, but Mike McCoy like nervous norv , think we did good things,, but the bottom line both coaches were losers and if you fire a 14-2 coach , then why you keep a 4-12 coach ?(charger logic???) Only the chargers do that.. and because of that the " curse' the heart breaks , the misery continues for the players and fans.. I;m sorry McCoy is a lousy coach and poor decision maker and just sets a poor vibe on the sideline.. Every time the cameras panned on him he looked nervous , bewildered and lost .. Guess what? A team copies the personality of the coach.. which is a indecisive , unconfident and confused crew that's looking for others to bail them out.. that poor punt bouncing back wards while the chargers watch it , was unacceptable. But then again , extending a loser coach is unacceptable, letting go 2 quality special team specialist is unacceptable.. and losing close games with quality talent and quarterback is unacceptable and unforgivable. lets hope the players rise above the inept coach decisions and poor coaching plans, to rise up and try to win more games and win the hearts of the fans so they will vote on that new venue. But more heartbreaking losses like today will cause indifference and poor showing at the November voting day.. Its up to you players to play better and get on a groove, because the fans are fed up with the spanos bullying and threats of leaving the city and the teasing game day play only to be heart broken..year after year ,. has taken its toll even to the most die hard fans.. 24-3 .lead going into the final quarter... The Chargers looked great for 30 minutes , but after half time , they were the 4-12 chargers that went 4-12 last year..
thoughts.. First off , quick recovery for the star player keenan Allen, a true football player going full speed every play, he was unstoppable , the only one to stop him was himself. I wish him well.
Now the good points. Melvin " Flash ' Gordon was awesome. and wood head was clutch. Rivers had time to throw and the defense was doing their job.. now.. Halftime .. No adjustments made on the charger side and like all year last year was out coached , out smarted and out played,, Ok. I get it .. it was close,, but guess what? a loss is a loss and a win is a win regardless of the score.. The chargers like for the last how many years got McCoyed.. ok what does that mean? I mean,, playing it safe , playing it conservative. ala, Nervous Norv.. .. You cant sit on lead on the road and expect to win.. That's the difference between a winning coach like Belicheat , Or Mike Tomlin , Pete Carrol, Gary Kubiak.. they coach to win, they go for the jugular.. and they all have won SUPER BOWLS. COACHES like Mike McCoy , Jason Garret , etc.. coach to be good enough to lose or win at times but never win a SUPERBOWL.. This team has talent , but the culture of winning is not there, no one is held accountable, its like its ok.. we can overcome this,, This game needs motivators , needs inspiring speeches to play better. Mike McCoy Jason Garret puts me to asleep with their political correctness and politeness. Both coaches have talented squads but have not performed to their potential.. and because of that.. Expect a long season.. of close games and miscalculations and poor coaching that will lead to heart break and misery for the players ad fans.I really feel bad for Rivers , gates , because these future hall of famers will be ring less like LT, before them. Talented squads, but never reach the mountain. I know one game is one game but since the McCoy era this team has been progressively getting worse. Why they kept him is beyond me. They fire alot of people last year only to see the same old results. Close games and losing results and to add insult to injury we lose the star play maker keenan Allen..

1) Why abandon Melvin Gordon getting more touches ,, not only running but pass catching ? He;s explosive and was on a roll? Too Conservative and too careful in lay calling , which meant losing timing when you lose confidence in this game , it can turn fast, like it did..
2) Why run out the clock before the half? Throw it up to Benjamin,, that's the reason we hired him at least try it. ? I mean all game long no long ball threats or throws, .Maybe Rivers arm strength is not there anymore or maybe the careful game management ruin this teams chances to finish. just thinking.
3) We need better special teams play , we still see players not catching the ball ,fair catch or not? We see poor punts under clutch times.. ah.. Scifres was clutch.. he never , ever punted a 17 yarder, even a blocked one will still travel better than that? Upgrade or down grade and lower salary ? You get what you pay for charger management team.. Next Lambo, ok, he can kick the hell out the ball , to avoid kick off returns. But I saw many team pouch kicking and keeping teams under the 25 yard marker on touch backs.. Ah.. Where's Nick Novak ..now? and that Missed field goal,, yup that came back to haunt the chargers, along with the numerous time outs during the game..
4) Poor coaching decisions, why abandon the run when it was working and trying to call complicated offensives calls with new wide outs was horrible. 21 points in the first half.. 6 points in the second half.. and poor offensives play calls. Blame whisenhunt , blame the defense for being ot there too long . When the offense was rolling , the defense played well. But under pressure over time,.. the usual trend developed, get systematically driven down the field and lose it in over time.
5) Final analysis.. Go to the rock , run the ball , and short passes until these wide outs develop skills and confidence. Use gates more m hes reliable and is mismatch on most defenses the chargers play. ok. Hunter Henry is very good but I trust gates more then him right now. Woodhead is clutch , but Gordon is the power runner that can Punch a defense and wear them down. I like woodhead ,but he can only take so much pounding.. The defense looked good the front 3 was powerful , the linebackers were good but we still lack a fast hard hitting linebacker.. Teo is good but slow , so is emmanuel, Atouchco is faster and a harder hitter, perryman needs to play better. The secondary was good , but the safety spot is average at best. and like usual they melted or self destructed at the end of the game.. I mean 24-3 going into the final quarter and lose.. Good teams don't do that? Imagine the Patriots , Steelers, Seahawks, Broncos they don't do that and guess what these teams win SUPER BOWLS.. In other words this team right now is not good, they miss tackles , they don't perform well under pressure ,missed field goal at crucial times, and poor punting hurt this team at the end. But there is 15 more games to play and a season opener at the ' Q' next week, it a chance for redemption, against the Jags, but they almost beat the Packers at home .. It wont be a easy game.. With no keenan allen , I suggest more Gordon and less rivers to earn a win.. and the special teams have to make field goals and be more consistent punting and coverage. Its easy to say this team sucks, but One game is one game , now if they do it again at home , then expect another losing season and a high draft pick that holds out?? just kidding. For now, Use the power running game until they stop you and play better defense and attack 60 minutes at a time. Like the Power teams do.. Because blowing a 21 point lead is unacceptable, but Mike McCoy like nervous norv , think we did good things,, but the bottom line both coaches were losers and if you fire a 14-2 coach , then why you keep a 4-12 coach ?(charger logic???) Only the chargers do that.. and because of that the " curse' the heart breaks , the misery continues for the players and fans.. I;m sorry McCoy is a lousy coach and poor decision maker and just sets a poor vibe on the sideline.. Every time the cameras panned on him he looked nervous , bewildered and lost .. Guess what? A team copies the personality of the coach.. which is a indecisive , unconfident and confused crew that's looking for others to bail them out.. that poor punt bouncing back wards while the chargers watch it , was unacceptable. But then again , extending a loser coach is unacceptable, letting go 2 quality special team specialist is unacceptable.. and losing close games with quality talent and quarterback is unacceptable and unforgivable. lets hope the players rise above the inept coach decisions and poor coaching plans, to rise up and try to win more games and win the hearts of the fans so they will vote on that new venue. But more heartbreaking losses like today will cause indifference and poor showing at the November voting day.. Its up to you players to play better and get on a groove, because the fans are fed up with the spanos bullying and threats of leaving the city and the teasing game day play only to be heart broken..year after year ,. has taken its toll even to the most die hard fans.. 24-3 .lead going into the final quarter... THURSDAY NIGHT SEPT 8,2016
PANTHERS VS BRONCOS - The rematch ? Not really but the Panthers are eager to beat down the broncos. The Broncos are no longer the best team in the League losing manning is going to be a big blow. Starting a new quarterback in his first NFL start will and will be ugly. The Broncos will be hard pressed to protect their quarterback. But the Panthers are going to show that they are for real and The Defense will cause turnovers and give the great field position as the Panthers destroy the Broncs at home.

BUCS AT FALCONS- The Bucs are much improved and they are facing a offensive strong team that plays well at home. It wont be a pretty game but the Falcons have too many play makers and should win easily at home Look for Julio Jones catch alot and score alot.
VIKINGS AT TITANS - Two defensive minded teams with solid running games. The problem is the Vikes don't have a reliable qb - DECIDING on Sam Bradford as your starter who now has to learn a new playbook.. strange choice.. Its Better to stick to Shaun Hill 40 years old .. The Vikes are in rouble big time!!and The titans have a very good qb in Mariota and a running game that will hard to stop with Henry leading the way. Titans win easily at home.
BROWNS AT EAGLES- The browns are the worst team in the league and the eagles are slightly better both teams are in rebuild mode,, It wont be a high scoring game , but I see the EAGLES making enough big plays to win at home.
BENGALS AT JETS - The Bengals will have a another solid performance and the jets are coming off a very good season. The addition Of Matt Forte could make them a solid run and pass team. The defense is always strong , and should make a push to win the AFC EAST or playoff spot. They must make a statement early and I see them doing at home as they win a close game at home.
RAIDERS AT SAINTS- This could be the highest scoring game of the week? Why both defenses are suspect and both teams have play makers on offense. Drew Brees always finds ways to score alot and will in this game. Carr will match him to a point , but The saints will pull away late en route to close high scoring show in the dome!!
CHARGERS AT CHIEFS- This will be a battle. The Chiefs swept the chargers last year , but that was then and this is now. The Bolts have a solid ground game with Gordon , Woodhead and Watt, as well as a new star in Hunter Henry , Gates will be gates and Keenan Allam will have a record breaking year. The defense is much improved and they will help set the tone.. Verret , Flowers Addae and perryman are hard hitting assassin's and Bosa and Corey will be monsters to deal with. It wont be a easy game and could be a high scoring shootout , but a I see a ball control offense playing error free football and the chargers upsetting the favorites.
BILLS AT RAVENS- Everyone always picks the bills as the sleeper team , and The Ravens are always in there as a well balanced team.. This will be a defense minded game and the ravens will mak enough plays to come out a season opening win.. Flacco will do well and make some big throws at the end of the game , to secure a victory.
BEARS AT TEXANS- The bears have a horrible defense and the texans have one of the best. JJ WATT can make the bears shudder and the Cutler when flustered is a turn over machine. Ostweiler will have a big day and give the Houston fans a great win in a blow out against a over matched and poorly constructed defense.
PACKERS AT JAGS- The Packers are one of the elites with one of the best QBS,. IN the league, The Jags have talent , but not enough against a contending team. I see rodgers pick apart a average defense and hand a beat down to the Jags ..
DOLPHINS AT SEAHAWKS- The dolphins are much improved , the problem is the Seahawks are one the better teams if not a SUPERBOWL CONTENDER, they will be pumped up to show the home crowd they are ready to make that run and easily confuse and dominate the dolphins at home this could be a laugher by halftime.
GIANTS AT COWBOYS - The Giants have a solid qb , and one of the best wide outs in the game with odel, the Cowboys.. have a quality offensive line and a strong defense,, the problem is they have a unproven and untested qb,, Yes Dak Prescott had a monster pre season.. sorry that doesn't mean anything , The Gmen are going to have fun and bring the boys back to reality.. which is you need a quality qb to win in this league, dak has not proven a thing. As well as elliot. Dez is the play maker , but prescott will be tested often and early and I see him making major mistakes as the Gmen win easily.
LIONS AT COLTS- Andrew Luck is back and the Lions don't have Megatron. The Colts will score early and often and the Lions may do so too , because the Colts don't have a championship defense, This could be a highlight reel game with many big plays offensively.

PATRIOTS AT CARDINALS - With Brady I could see the Pats win, but the Cardinals have too strong of defense to let a newbie Garropalo succeed. He looks the part , but with out experience and knowledge , this could be a ugly season opener for the Patriots. But then again this could also be a boring low scoring game , with the cardinals winning late with a last minute field goal.

STEELERS AT REDSKINS - Big Ben and his Killer B's . , Bell , Brown.. The offense is no doubt one of the best offenses in the league , but that defense is still a work in progress. but the Steelers are one of the elites in the AFC.. PATRIOTS , STEELERS , COLTS , CHIEFS , are division winners , but the wild cards are wide open with the Jets , Chargers , Bengals fighting for those spots..
RAMS AT 49ERS - the niners next two the browns are a lousy team with issues, the kapernick deal has and will divide the locker room and having such distractions at each game could very well make this a very stressful and losing season..Rams with the Gurley show will score early often and win a laugher while the niner fans get treated to a offensive and defensive show.

SAN DIEGO CHARGER NEWS 2016 - THE SOURCES VIEWS..
Hello Charger fans , we all had a tough year 4-12 last year was painfully painful.. Watching a team with poor leadership Head Coach Mike Mccoy is not a good leader, he doesn't hold players accountable and looks more like an assistant than head coach.. In fact I call him the newer version of Nervous Norv Turner, conservative, boring and never accepts reality.
Which is .. This team is now a rebuilt team with one of the youngest rosters in the league, It was only last year it was one the oldest. Now my theory.. is youth better than experience, in some cases , it is. But.. the Chargers are in one of the toughest divisions in the league.. The Broncos are Superbowl winners , the Chiefs were the hottest team in the last part of last season. The raiders were suprisingly good and only can get better? But losing Charles Woodson, will hurt that young defense, youcant replace a Hall of famer like that.. they will suffer.. no doubt..
Now The Chargers..? Last year they lost 7-8 games by a touch down or less , but they also gave up more points they any of the AFC WEST TEAMS AND scored the least of any of the AFC WEST TEAMS. YES,.. i know ,. No Keenan Allan , because of injury , no danny woodhead injury , an offensive line with over 20 changes .. and a defense that was in disarray with the weddle deal and the lack of pass rush and brandon flowers having a down year.. But this is the NFL. Nothing for Losers, Not for long. The chargers were snake bitten with alot of bad luck and late game meltdowns..
This year the Chargers have a healthy Gordon and Woodhead. They have a healthy offensive line of King Dunlap, Fluker , Slauson , Franklin , that if healthy is one of the good lines in football, now if healthy? Because the backups of barksdale , Tuerk , pullston, hairston wiggins .. are are that backups that cant compete against number ones defensive lines.. If the line has another injury prone season.. expect another 4-12 season.. despite what rivers , gordon , allen gates will do.. Everything starts on the line offensive and defensive wise.. Chances are the bolts will not suffer a season like last year with all the talent they have,, But LIKE LT says... injuries will determine how well this team competes this year.. which I agree with !!

When Joey Bosa is ready put him in lace of reid,,, and formulating a pretty good front 3.. Some one has to double team Corey or Bosa.. and based on preseason I saw team double teaming Mebane,, which why the pass rush was better. Now the Line backing crew..
Perryman, Te'o , Ingraham , Emanuel.. are a good group , Perryman is the hard hitter and Te'o is good against the run.. and Ingraham is more pass rusher , run defense than pass defender and Emanuel is a gamer , and probably the best all around athlete , but lacks speed and power against bigger lines.. Lets hope and pray our corners stay healthy..

I really like Lowery he's fast and physical , more so than weddle, maybe not as football smart , but does involve himself.. and addae is a tough hard hitting assassin that chargers have craved for since the rodney harrison days.. McCoil is a pleasant suprise he's a tall safety at 6-4 and can play line backer too, or corner.. Great pick up and versatile player. Stuckey is a quality special teamer , and adequate back up , but once again not built to be a every day starter. Hes more a nickel back corner,,,

All in all, the San Diego Chargers are a younger and cheapest team than last years group, with the exception of Rivers, Gates, and Now Bosa,, the Chargers are relatively a lower paid team.. Ok Verret and Flowers are paid well as well as Gordon, But on average this is feasible cheaper team with one of the lowest paid coaching staffs in the league.. Formula for success against the Broncos , Chiefs , and Now Raiders.??. We will see. I like the addition of Ken Whisenhunt.. the Offense will be better, but the defense with Pagano,, is a question mark? But with the additions of Bosa , Mebane , and Lowery, and a fired up attitude,. I see the defense being much improved.. More like a top 15 defense.. and with a top 5 OFFENSE.. This team could be a top 10 ten team in the NFL POWER RATINGS.. The Broncos and Chiefs will be very good and the Chargers can be right there if healthy. They have a last place schedule and have a chance to win 10-12 games if they stay healthy and play better at the end of games. Recall.. Like I said, look it up, they were within 8 points or less in 7-8 games last year including the blow out the raiders imposed on us last year.. (4-12 record 2015)
Final Analysis..
based on a healthy offensive and defensive line and the additions of Bosa, Mebane abd Lowery on defense and the much improved play of flowers and Verret as the lone pro bowler.. and the hard hitting safeties of Lowery and addae.. The defense will make stops and put pressure on oppossing offenses.. health will be the key.. any of of the starters out for extended times will hurt this defense unless the potential back ups step up.. which could happen?
The offense with a Competent coordinator and a healthy Gordon and woodhead as well as the play maker in Keenan allen.. and a formidable offensive line.. and of course Rivers.. This team will be better balanced and ready to make a serious run at winning the division or earning a wild card spot..
The Broncos will have a very good if not the best defense in the league, but the offense with no manning and starting rookie inexperienced qb.. will be felt.. tremendous pressure on the defense.. which will hard with no proven qb starting. Just saying..
The Chiefs are one of the oldest teams in the league and Jamal Charles is back , but I don't expect him to dominate , and Smith did step up as a qb, lets see if he can do it again.. my thoughts no,, he wont .. Chiefs defense will keep the scores down.. and the offense will get their scores,,,,, But don't expect blow outs from this team..
lastly the Raiders , they nearly had a winning season last year, and have a young good quarterback in carr. But he's reckless and a gun slinger ,kinda like his idol favre. He needs to rely on his run game and manage the clock and his team to wins , because his defense plays well when in the lead, but if they get behind the defense falls apart based on their youth , and lack of leadership. losing woodson, is gonna hurt them badly.. Just saying. The Raiders will be able to score , but they will also give up alot.

Flash Marty Austria Paras 1st Freshman Game!!
Let me say this I'm so proud of my son Marty I have seen him grow and improve ever since his flag football days when he was setting records and making people take notice.. But in my mind it was nothing it was flag football.. Not until he started playing youth tackle football where he surprised me even more.. He was star from that get go. And anyone that knows my son. he is self described " geek" , loves school. loves research into computers and video games.. and wear glasses.. out of uniform you would think he's more video gamer than actual play maker.. But this small guy with tremendous heart is a inspiration.. I mean when i played football, I was good, but very inconsistent.. I didn't like to practise or remember plays... I just like to go and play.. I was better at defense even though I tried out as running back and receiver.. I had some big games,, But nothing like my son.. When I see him have big games and have tremendous runs, I'm in awe and shock or is it shock and awe.. because I never thought he could do it,, I mean every parent believes in his son.. but nothing close to reality, My son Marty has been a GOD SEND.. his first game wasn't spectacular,, I mean 4 carries 66 yards and 2 tds,, but think about half of the time he carried the ball he scored,, and his team the Temescal canyon Titans win big 42-0 , against the Vista Del Lago Ravens of Perris Ca. It was a fun game and I enjoyed every minute of it.. But I must admit every time he gets hit I hold my breath I mean hes barely 120 lbs and skinny as heck, but when he runs away from defenders its a beautiful sight. I know if he wants to play higher levels of football he has to get taller and bigger and I pray and thankful God has blessed him with great talent on and off the field.. I'm looking forward to the rest of his games and I will cherish every moment of his football days,, whether its only high school college or what I'm going to support and cheer for him ,,, to be successful.. As for me.. I can only wonder if I had his skills and work ethic where my football career would of become? I mean .. because I didn't like practise I suffered multiple injuries, dislocated shoulder , torn and pulled muscles,, concussion's every game,, i think? But anyways. I hope you enjoy my blogs and my journey this season as I will describe every moment , every game , every victory and of course the hardships and the pitfalls of sports. Sports like life.. there is hills and valleys,, peaks and falls and may times grave disappointment but like in real life,, you must overcome them and become a better person. Thank you for taking the time sharing my moment with my son as he strives to get better and begins a high school journey and hopefully beyond on his hopes and dreams.. May God Bless everyone and Lets enjoy the season of football..
