NFL DRAFT 2011 is Coming!!

NFL DRAFT IS COMING !! 
  Yes, football is just around the corner , I know the Lock out , the CBA Agreement, but at least This Thursday April 28, 2011 , we get our first taste of football news and activity. Exciting , hell yeah , for those who love this game and have our favorite teams.. Right? Chargers, Raiders , 49ers , Rams , Saints , Patriots , are some of the favorites around , but whatever team you root for your eager to see what players your team is selecting. I know not every year produces a Peyton Manning or Ladainian Tomlinson , Barry Sanders , well of course not these guys come around once in a lifetime.. But you can find players that can help your team. So whats the theory or idea about drafting a player. Do you take the best player available ? Or do you look for team needs? Do you trade picks for more picks , or to move up in the draft like the Chargers did for Ryan Mathews, a nice kid , a solid athlete , but LT , perhaps not, but that's unfair to compare him to one of the greats. But to be honest it's his fault for wearing his number in college and telling people he idolizes LT. How funny the guy he idolized for so many years , he ended up replacing him.. But MATHEWS  doesn't need to be LT , he just needs to compliment the mini natrone Mean.. Mike Tolbert.. Thunder and lightening , it can work.. will it? Time will tell. Now back to the draft . The teams that need Qb's Carolina , San Fran , Raiders ? Should go after them while other teams should go after needs. But what happens when its your turn and the best player is still on the board , but you don't need a line backer or defensive back? Do you pass and take a marginal player or go for the star.. Me.. I say no matter what you take the best player available and build from there , but then again I'm speaking on a fans stand point , not a seasoned scout or team associate. I will always vote with my heart and my fan feelings. What makes the draft so exciting is that the experts are always wrong , it's like the teams listen to all the draft talk and decide the opposite of the experts so that they feel they made the decision , not some draft nerd spending all the night and weeks reading analyzing etc.. I mean just think about it, no team is going to show their hand or their intentions , but then again that's what makes the draft exciting. So kick back , relax and when the draft rolls around , get happy , upset , pissed off and realize that no one really knows what your team does or any other team and to be honest Be thankful for that , because it adds to the drama of the whole event and we all know the NFL loves drama and attention more than any drama queen out there , more than terrible Terrel Owens or Chad ocho cinco.. etc.. Quick pick Cam Newton , not the best player , but a needed player will be the Number 1 pick and then after that I see defense all the way,, The Chargers will select a Defensive or offensive Lineman.. and will take a Wide receiver in the second round , and draft more line backers or linemen to protect Philip Rivers.. If not expect a long season for the Bolts , because they need some impact players to start now and be a part of the special teams , that was so horrible and cost them many games last year and a shot at winning the division.
