Wrong outfit - Wrong concert ?
Back in the day , after Montgomery's high school days, My buddy Jo and I were concert maniacs you name it , we went , Van Halen , Scorpions, Ozzy , Journey , Rush , and for those of us to rock , we know what to wear and how to blend in.. Right ? ok.. Now imagine this skinny Filipino kid with long hair dressed in tight ass jeans and bandanna's all over his pants and arms and head and looking like he should be a lead singer for some rock group..ok.,.
The problem or the laugh on me was , The Concert was at The SDSU outdoor arena , for a Carlos Santana,, ok, That outfit probably would of worked if it was 1970 IN THE HEIGHT and fame of Carlos ,, not in the late 80's at a older crowd. Lets just say I was a massive distracion,. the looks and the murmurs and the laughs and smiles was " priceless" , but did I care ? Of course not ,because this young blood dude wanted attention and still do. Maybe not as much , but I still like people looking at me.. Whether its in my tricked out truck , ot performing my Filipino Martial arts stick fighting or pop locking old school style , I love the attention. I mean when I get it , and I make sure I entertain people.. Well any one that knows me , realizes at any moment I could do dance move at a restaurant , or after school play or football game , or better yet at a Charger game.. in front of thousands of people .. haha. But back to the story , the concert was awesome and the fun I had was great , but the greatest memory was how ridiculous I looked dressed the way I was. But hey , When I was younger i wanted the attention and more times or not I got it. Did I do it again.. Of course i did,, I love drawing attention and being part of the scene, for those you have seen it at Montgomery Jr or High school or now called middle school and senior high school.. Those were the days,.,. Yeah , crazy outfit how about wearing a Charger Jersey at Oaklands Black hole.. needless to say I was sprayed with popcorn nachos and beer and all the curse words known to man,, but i survived , barely,,, Lessons , Be sure you wear the right gear , and be sure you have big dudes around you , to dare wear such outfits. But like the attention grabber that I was , I dared to be different , like the " Black Sheeps , the Barakada's , The Cholo's , The Surfers, Rockers of South Side - San Diego.. We dared to be different and lived life to the fullest , in other words : Be true to yourself, whatever that may be.. Until the next story take care and Live it up!!!! THE SOURCE PRODUCTIONS @ 2011!!
