Mayweather- Hasn't fought what? 3 fights in 4 years - Hattton ko , Marquez - boxing clinic , Mosely- boxing clinic. All those fights he started slow, but once he figures you out , it became a boxing clinic. 
Mayweather doesn't throw combinations like he used to ,because he always thinking defense , he footwork and elusiveness is second to none and has knowledge of the game is unreal. He know what to do and how to do it. He also is the Master of head games, he know how to get fighters to forget about their fight plans.. History says in the lighter divisions its harder to stay as a champion. Perhaps that's why he doesn't fight as often , he does have had issues  , Like The great Sugar Ray Leonard did. Mayweather his whole career has always punched with his chin up , Why he wants to keep his eyes on his opponent , but because he does that , he gets caught with quick counters. Mayweather wants this fight in the center of the ring , so he can circle , roll and counter the bull rushes of Ortiz, but even if Ortiz manages to get Mayweather on the ropes , mayweather , like Ali knows how to pitch and roll and actually use the rope as a launching pad for his counter punches. Mayweather has been here many times and his experience and knowledge that even when he gets hurt , he can gather himself , refocus and come back to dominate a fight against great fighters. Great fighters not only have great physical skills , but have that mental stebngth that they believe they cant be beat and blame no one but themselves.. Get set for History making events as this fight is just a prelude to the Big MEGA FIGHT AGAINST THE WORLD'S GREATEST FIGHTER VS. THE WORLD'S GREATEST BOXER- PACQUIAO V,S MAYWEATHER , GOOD VS. GREED, HUMBLE VS. LOUD, .. Cant wait.? 




Ortiz- has lost 2 times and 2 draws, one those fights Maidiana - he quit , or at least he looked like, he was frustrated and show no heart , as the fight was stopped due to cuts. Like Duran , wants you quit you career your reputation and your own self confidence falls into question. He has only beaten 3 World Champions and his last Victory Berto , impressive but Berto is no where near the talent , skill or mental level of the World's greatest and hated Boxer. 
Ortiz is being taught to Punch the body or arms and not get caught with counters, he is basically trying to be something he hasn't been his whole career. He needs to be focused and disciplined and watch for counters , he has a tendency to be off balance , because he's always concentrating on power punches. His down fall is that he doesn't set up his punches like a great fighter like a Chavez, Trinidad, or Pacquiao, but all these fighters also know how to box and counter punch , something I havent seen in any of his fights. I also haven't seen him come back from adversity or getting hurt , remember he lost 2 fights and has 2 draws where his heart and desire were questioned in those fights against fighters no where the talent level of Mayweather. Just something to think about tonight..? Tonight he needs to be patient , and take what Money man gives him.Hit the arms , the shoulder , his ass , hips, ala Roberto Duran in his firts fight with Sugar ray Leonard.  He needs to stay focused and try to outpunch , and out hustle Mayweather , if he lets mayweather box and gain confidence its gonna be a long night of watching the Boxing great , systematically break down a young , predictable , telegraphing power puncher. This will not end Ortiz's career but will enhance it because he will make it exciting with his aggressiveness early and often in this fight. But the fact its his first time on the Lime light , the pressure and the inexperience at this level will do him in , its just human nature , everyone gets nervous their first time on the big stage.. 


Final prediction; I see a exciting beginning Ortiz , using his youth and strength to beat up on floyd , will connect , perhaps out Mayweather down for the first time in his career, But I see a clever , frustrating to hit defensive genius , break down and and out wit the young bull, Ortiz will get hit with quicker and more accurate punches that may not hurt him, but will cut him and slow him down, and Floyd , if theirs that opportunity to finish , will do it this time.. Against Marquez and Mosley , he had shots at putting those guys away , but chose to show mercy or out in the rounds to show off his great skills. But tonight is a STATEMENT FIGHT to the World and Manny Pacquiao that he's not playing around, and that he is in the best in the World and ready to Challenge the other fighter everyone declares the Best fighter pound for pound.. !
