  Well today in SOCAL, it was a nice and sunny day round 80's summer shorts and t shirt weather. Laid back Sunday. I had to find a UPs store that was open, the ones in my area were closed on sundays. Thank goodness for the UPS store in Fallbrook. Well anyways , Black beauty my late model Muscle car was ready for the ride... I was listening to Van Halen and making the winding twists and turns on route 395. It was fun except I had slow ass drivers in front of me. Well anyways, just driving on that path was cool seeing the trees along the road.. and just seeing a small city atmosphere in California.. You would nevr imagine there are still small town communities in SOCAL.. everyone THINKS OF THE big cities and the not so big cities, I mean places like Corona, Moreno Valley , and Riverside have 200,000 plus people.. Even places like Temecula and Murrieta , are hovering around 100,000 and more .. Even Lake Elsinore has 60,000 people and growing.. 
  But back to the drive, its fun driving a high powered muscle car , the roar of the exhaust the power of engine is so surreal and energizing. I guess its a man thing or a boy thing. Ever since I can recall I always loved loud mufflers exhaust systems and powerful engines roaring, I know so of the new age folks don't care for loud engines or exhaust or loud stereos, but hey,, my generation,,, late sixties born.. we love that sound.. We also love listening to music with balls with substance. Not like today, everything is copy cat , or samples of  other songs.. I know .. I like the older folks that gripe about today's music , or cars , or movies or what. Buts its true , today's cars , music and movies don't have the same feelings that the older movies had.. I mean you look at today's car everything is aero dynamic and everything looks like the next. No originality or style.. I mean only few cars catch y attention . Like The Dodge Challenger or Charger of the Ford Mustang , or the Chevy Camaro or Corvette.. make me take double takes.. But I also like how today's monster trucks look like the Dodge Rams or the Ford Raptor or the Chevy trucks,, very nice . I also dig what people do with their Jeeps.. But the other cars are just copy cats.. Its what I notice when I drove around today in Fallbrook.. Like I said it was a nice ride ,, to and back home through that nice and scenic route 395.. I also like doing the Ortega high way route too , or the 101 highway heading towards the Bay area.. But that's for another blog. If your in the mood for a scenic route that might remind you of driving in Small town America. Maybe,, taking a nice Sunday drive to Fallbrook.. They also have a nice gun range and small ma and pa shops to check out.. ok.. Well have a great day and if you ever in the Socal area near the I-15.. MAKE A DETOUR TO FALLBROOK AND CHECK OUT THAT ROUTE.. it might settle your mind and make you realize California has small town feelings , if you seek them out.. Take care and drive safe. Remember to have your drivers license and insurance paper with you and obey the laws.. because tickets are expensive I know.. But I do enjoy letting Black beauty show her speed as long its on long roads with very little traffic.. which I find usually on early sunday morning in SOCAL..
