My home defense weapons and why ? Inspired by life !
   Hello everyone I hope everyone is well stay safe at home be positive and be strong minded 
Now to my home defense weapons systems . I have 
a lot of weapons and to narrow it down to my self defense  home defense is even harder to do . 
   But here it is , I have a belt from my Navy Security force days that’s I keep my extra mags for
My Sig sauer Sp 2022 , because it a full size 9mm gun that I have put overt 1000 rounds through it with no misfires or hang-fire issues it’s a accurate , reliable e it and Dependable gun on the range and it’s has that wow factor ,!its looks and feels like a bad ass weapon . I’m comfortable with the grips amd I can assume my sight adjustments in a quick and efficient way . To me that’s important when choosing a gun for home defense , does it feel comfortable in your heart d can you align your sights quickly and accurately and will it fire off when needed ! My
Sig fits those needs and I’m confident should I ever need to use It for self defense and protection
Of my family and property! 
  So I have my Sig in holster with extra mags I put my belt on  then I grab my AR-15
Smith and Wesson chambered i. 5.56 or 223 rounds .. That’s the gun I prefer because it’s deadly it’s lightweight , accurate and I’m very proficient in it maybe because of my Navy days and the training we received during those years, I’m very comfortable using that defense weapons beasts I can easily shoot off my rounds and reload in a quick and efficient manner and it’s very accurate at long range but in close quarters like a house it’s small enough and light enough to walk around tight spaces and
Still powerful enough to take care of an intruder or intruders . I know why have 2 weapons on you , because I can and if I run out of mags with Ar -15 I can use my pistol to fire off another 50
Rounds .. So if over  100 rounds of bullets doesn’t stop the threat then I deserve to die ., But most likely the Ar-15 will be enough to deal with a threat . My boys are always practicing  real life home defense scenarios and we found that in no light low light scenarios when you come across a light in the middle of the night in a dark house it’s very intimidating and scary because what’s behind that light ., In my case I have my AR-15 and my boys have their Ruger 14 rifle and the Ruger 9mm rifle witn lights so if you happen to come across my house you have 3 weapons systems aimed at you !
Not a pretty sight , but back to the blog .. I have my weapons as the home defense go to because I’m comfortable shooting them I can use my hand to call the police if using my pistol or use my Ar because of the sling . Ok why not use a shot gun , that’s a great weapon but you have to use both hands , hard to hold off intruders with that gun and call the police. My pistol can hold them down while I call the police . The AR can be used in an one arm scenario if need be compared to a shotgun Makes sense ? You have to remember do what’s best for you . I’m just saying under the scenarios
I mentioned , the Weapons systems work for me ,!
  So I hope this explains my choices and why ? I mean I also own a Glock 17 that I can use those mags in my Ruger carbine rifle ..now that I think about that would be my back up weapons system .. 
Whatever the case whatever set up you have be sure to practice at the gun range and be comfortable with the guns , don’t buy it because it’s looks bad ass , pick it up hold it , use the sights , do research
Ask other gun owners but most of all make your own decisions based on what your preferences are .
