BLACK BEAUTY - ILLEGAL STREET RACING IN SAN DIEGO . INSPIRED BY Lindsay Winkley.. 

  First off ,I'm not endorsing or glamorizing illegal drag  racing , I'm just letting common folks that this stuff happens in Americas Finest.. On the legal side, if caught racing at these events its 1000 dollar fine , six month suspended license and your beloved car is crushed..So is it worth it ? Plus for those of us that have illegal accessories on cars..The Police would give you tickets that would have big fines and your vehicle marked.. Which means.. if  seen again at any future events.. racing or not,, you get big fines and you car crushed.. Yes. The SAN DIEGO POLICE AND FRIENDS. DONT PLAY... 
   Now how does the word get around.... talk,.. auto shops .. internet chat rooms..,,auto clubs.. shows,
But what's funny.. the SPOTS.. were never a secret if you were in the mix.. you knew where it went down.. it just determining the times.. ?? For the cops .,.. its hard to catch.. because racers. Have scanners , have cb radios, look outs.. and inside connections with the police.,. huh? Well money talks,, sad to say.. but some law guys are not legit.. But that's another blog.. 
   Now for the normal crowds,, the regular public.. well your getting the word. On illegal Drag race scene in San Diego.. 
   Here are the spots.. 
   1) 905 , by the junk yards///…
    ….also Palm Ave.. South San Diego.. 
   2) Bay boulevard in Chula Vista. ......J street.. area.. 
   3) Kearny Villa rd..near the Marine Corps Air Station ..
   4)state route 52.. 
   5)Mira Mesa ,  the firehouse.... Mira Mesa Blvd... too.. 
   6)state route 78 ...
   7) San Diego Safari park..North San Diego.. 
   8) 805 south e street to Palm ave.. -- 
   9) I-15 .. NASCAR 15 we call it.. any area past Escondido.. ..
   

Racelegal..  is the only place that's legal.. its at qualcolmm parking lot.. Most racers used to do the scene.. but after multiple tickets fines , suspensions and lost cars.. This is the place to go..

   The illegal races are fast and furious , and its tough because lots of lookouts.. to ensure law enforcement is busy .. with others.. yea. its a sophisticated thing.. and Like I said, I'm not endorsing this events and yes.. I have been at many of these .. events..did I race.?? . I plead the fifth... and besides.I still have my car. so it shows I never been caught.. ,, because if I was Black beauty would be crushed...….
2003-12 .. was the big craze.. especially with each release of the fast and furious movies.. its been 8 years now.. and racing is coming back so to speak.. New generation of racers .. and the racers are back.. For the police.. My advice you have to have undercover guys and girls and they have to bee involved in everything the chat rooms , the internet , the clubs.. social media.. but then again.. racers are so sophisticated.. What do I mean..? They check on people..they will test these undercovers.. doing drugs.. drink heavily.. sex.. its part of the scene.. so those under covers have to sacrifice their life , their morals to catch people that are not scared to die.. Isn't that crazy.. YOU figure people would get scared of crashing.. But that's youth... when I was young I was fearless. I used to take awful chances ,, so to speak.. Its amazing I never died.? . But lady luck can play tricks on you. Its an addiction to go fast and feel the power of a powerful car.. The looks... the praise ,,, of course the chicks.. cheering you on or flirting with you.. Makes guys even old guys .. take chances. ?! why do it... ? Its like gambling.. you harming no one but yourself.. but when it affects your family... then its a big deal.. 
  I know for a lot of San Diegans your probably shocked places or spots like these are around.. Like I said.. Its no secret.. its been idle . But its starting up again.. For those that have seen these races unexpected// it often happens 1130pm- 4am.. and it pretty organized.. 
  You have spotters that clear the road.. and then the two racers go side by side. and off.. quarter mile.. then.. the next group.. its an organized dance,, and if cops are alerted.. 30 seconds is enough to slow down and exit.. Like I said those spots mentioned offer those exits. so to speak.. Its sad ,, right. when someone crashes and dies,, in fact its criminal .. But it happens and perhaps , the police will figure something out , but the Police are spread thin among the city.. if only the public really knew..?? Do you want them to  stop illegal street racing or deal with intruders, bar fights , gang fights.. etc.. 
  My final thoughts .. Street racing is a dangerous event , to be part of and watch.. Because you don't know the skill level or lack of skill level.. and of course the drugs and alcohol involved , and a lot of the racers come from out of town out of state.. they drive all night to get that rush.. from racing another car.. Yea. that 30 seconds of going 140 .. is like no other rush.. Like I said.. I have officially never been a player .. but I know how thrilling it can be to go that fast... Believe it or not..?? I drove to vegas from Riverside in like 2 hours 0  minutes.. that's 263 miles .. In fact I saw a CHP officer on the side of road. Luckily it was like 4am.. so.. he let me go , my passenger.. said. your enjoying the car.. I said yup,..I didn't buy a muscle car to drive it like a old lady.. ok.. For you youngsters.. I know how you feel . many years ago.. I was in the scene.. Luckily I never crashed or killed anyone but  I have seen my fair share of bad accidents and cars getting totaled.. Its not a good feeling.. But being young and dumb.. we would go to the next race,, Its ironic how when you get older, you get wiser ,or your supposed to.. You realize ,, that fast speed rush is addictive, the attention and praise you get from the crowd,, is also addictive. BUT , in life we make choices every day.. Get married , or not.. Get laid, or pay for it.. Be a military guy or not.. Go to college or not.. Its called freedom.. it called free will. But as a elder statesmen.. Be safe and be careful , BUT .. I know having a fast car and not driving it fast. Makes no sense..ok. Race legal.. is a great option,.. but lets be honest.. its not the same// like being with strangers with the vibe in the air.. !??! Its the cycle of life. I'm not making judgments on anyone. I'm no better or worse than anyone.. But .. its happening again.. and with the release fast and furious 9 around the .. these young bloods.. will come out and hit those hot spots.. Be safe my family and friends and take care.. !! 
You only have  one life to live.. Make the right choices.!!!
