National Nurses day ! Inspired by wife Mona..Nurse

National Nurses Day ! Inspired by wife Mona.. Nurse...

Hi everyone I'm giving shout outs to my wife , a hard working nurse , and her co workers and of course all the nurses around the world.. I have seen what they do and I for one could not do it.. I'm not wired for it or have the patience they have to deal with what they do. But Thank God for them//because they are now on the front lines dealing with this pandemic covid -19 .. and they are truly amazing.
Now some quick history about this National Day...IN 1953 Dorothy Sutherland an employee with the United States Dept. of health.. sent a proposal letter to President Eisenhower.. He never approved it , so the Nurses on their own.. Began their own self recognition day...
Decades later President Nixon , in 1971 , proclaimed a National Nurses week. But in 1981 , a group of nurses from New Mexico , created a resolution to make May 6, National Nurses day, and a year later in 1982 ..The American Nurses Association ( ANA) , this resolution was sent to the UNITED STATES CONGRESS and was approved , and thus ,, May 6th , became official when the President Mr. Ronald Reagan signed the proposal.. in 1991 ANA , proclaimed May6- 12 as National Nurses week.. Every year the Nurses creates a theme for every year... This years theme is " NURSES : A VOICE TO LEAD..
SO with that I'm giving all the nurses my praise for what they do. because its truly a calling to do what they do.. that's why I don't argue with nurses.. They have enough stress in their lives. and I wish them health and safety during this time. I pray every day and night for their safety because they are the ones taking care of the sick.. something I know I'm not wired to do on a daily basis.. but.. if I had to .. I would especially if  its a family member .. but just think about what nurses do.. they take care of strangers and put up with their actions.. and believe me.. I used to work in a hospital and I have seen the trials and tribulations working with sick people mentally and physically. So if your married to a nurse or you know one. Give them praise and let them know you appreciate them.
Have a great day and thank you for reading my blogs ,, Keep up your spirits , together we will get through this pandemic.. covid 19.. will be remembered for how we looked out for each other and made this world a better place.
