NFL PLAYOFFS ARE HERE! JAN 8, 2011..

WILD CARD WEEKEND! JAN 8, 2011..
 Well the playoffs are here and I know I haven't posted any sports related stories in months, I mean THE SOURCE is a originally a Sports related column.. Ok, it's time.
  My wild card picks and why ?
  First game, Ravens vs. Chiefs, I see the Ravens with their Playoff experience and a seasoned pro in Joe Flacco , and a outstanding run game and a game changing defense, I see the Ravens controlling this low scoring game and sending the excited Chiefs home. I like the Chiefs Running game , but a inexperienced QB play in Cassel will ultimately do the young and upcoming Chiefs..
  Second Game - Jets vs. Colts- at Lucas Oil field. I see this being a very tight close game and I see the Jets winning because they have the better defense and run game. Peyton Manning is the better QB, but his team is young and limited, because they don't run very well, this makes the Colts predictable. Manning will get his scores , but the hits and sacks will take their toll on him and he will throw a late pick that will decide the game. I like LT and Schonn Greene having big days and don't be surprised LT getting involved in the Pass game.. On a personal level I'm rooting for my favorite player LT, he is and will always be the Chargers reason for Playoff appearances. Go Jets!

Sunday games :
  Saints vs. Seahawks - I see the saints winning this game because Drew Brees and company are a very good team and I feel better than last years Superbowl winning team. But traveling on the road will make it hard, especially with no running game. It's all on Brees, and I expect him to come through.

Packers vs, Eagles- These are two very talented teams , and two of the best QB's in the league with Aaron Rodgers and Michael Vick, but I really like how Philly is playing and Vick is unstoppable, I expect a high scoring game and perhaps the best game of the playoff weekend. But I see Vick and his talented crew to win in a high scoring show.

Final thoughts: I only picked one home team to win in my picks, the Eagles, I know home field advantage , but in those bold picks I made , I just feel the talent , and experience will prevail over whether or not the crowd is loud. I'm excited and Lets see how I do? Enjoy the playoffs!
