  ok, It's been a while since I posted anything about my new command. Why? Its been very tiring , work at 6:00 am - off at 1300 or 1400. But during those times we are moving boxes , parts , up from the pier on the brow onto the quarterdeck = hangar bay.. Yea, tiring is the least descriptive term i can possibly use. I haven't worked that hard since my last sea going command and that was once in awhile. This has been telling on my body , i mean my feet hurt and my arms too. But all in all Its been ok. I mean we haven't gone underway yet,. but that's coming and I'm not looking forward to getting sea sick and head aches and all. But hey got to do it. Am I cool with the duties I have , sure it's alot of work, stowing , moving parts and making sure receipts are accurately maintained, Is there characters on board , you bet , In my division I nicknamed probably the loudest , funniest and goofiest brother u can meet. He's like a wanna be politician , I mean he's greeting people including officers like their his best buddies, i mean they act they are so why question him?. Except for one first class , she's made sure to explain to him , in front of me.. u don't do that type of greeting to officers , no matter they are relation or what.. But u know .. he keeps doing it and I'm sure he will continue " oh his nickname is action Jackson.. or Michael because he thinks he can sing and dance.. u know.. Well I'm trying to keep a low profile , but the real me keeps revealing itself every once in awhile, I mean I'm not advertising myself, in fact one the first classes from my last command is the one giving me props to the new first class. I'm playing humble.. wow , what a acting job. huh? But I'm doing what needs to be done and accepting all schools and training I can possibly get. It seems like we have a good crew but I'm still observing our chief is a old school , no play , in your face chief that is firm but fair, I like that , i mean you know where u stand,. She sets her standards and sticks to them and expects you to adhere , if not she lets u know. The new check ins are getting used to the routine , but I see they are still unsure what needs to be done,.including myself. Eventually I will get it , but for now I'm just observing and absorbing information. Oh on my last duty day my amigo,, bought the other vato loco subway and a coke. we ate it while watching tv.. relax day. did some cleaning and boom the day is over. But this upcoming one is a full Saturday , wow,. looking forward to that one. One thing is for sure I like how the division is being run. You have takings , you get them done , and then you post , or leave for you civilian folks.. The day starts early , but it beats the morning traffic and when we leave at 1400, we beat traffic home , unless some dum ass southern cali driver flips his car or a mac truck blocks the freeways.. But u can't prevent that unless you fly.. Oh Indoc is boring , and makes me sleepy.. its a fight to stay awake , but we have a gung ho first class ready to tell u to stand up if he catches you sleeping. Oh,, one of the chiefs took a shipmates phone away when he was texting or what during class. Oh well , nothing else to report other than more parts to move tomorrow another day of indoc and duty day in the future. I;m staying low profile , how long it stays that way , we will see , but I have shown glimpses of my hyperness and humor. But I;m holding it down for now until I get the feel of things,, then after that only God knows if the source and his personality comes out. But for now the source is an observer , making notations and mental notes about ship life and the characters on board. Oh , we have alot of pretty young girls , but I'm not messing with that , if u know what i mean. I have a job and a purpose to attend to and young girls will only hinder or destroy my future goals and aspirations. The real test is when this ship goes underway and lets see how this crew and myself respond to sea life again.
